  • Shout out to my fellow greeks those girls are the bomb

  • That was the nastiest shit ever....Those were some bad bitches!!! I loved every second of it!

  • I am being honest when I say this, I think those girls are great but since I did not see the other performers, I can't say the deserved to win of course. 2nd. These girls are great and their routines are incredibly good BUT I personally think when most black not all but most black people when they step, it's a certain feeling, rhythm, attitude that they display while stepping which is missing from these girls step routine so therefore I'm not enjoying it as much. That's just me.

  • @tiana1017 I think they did great and personally, I think your own prejudice prevented you from enjoying the routine. They did better than all the sororities point blank. Furthermore that feeling is called 'spirit', which is not ethnically inherited.

"It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone..." - Marianne Williamson

  • @TheSublimeLifestyle It's not prejudice but if saying that makes you feel better than go ahead because frankly It doesn't matter to me. The performance lacked something simply put. Again I did not see the other competitors so for all I know maybe they were the best in that particular competition but frankly speaking, I've seen better steppers who had more idk soul, cheerleaders have spirit, steppers have soul, don't get the both of those terms twisted.

  • @tiana1017 look up the definitions of prejudice, soul, and spirit. To save you a minute, Spirit IS soul and vice versa...I think it's safe to twist the two terms. Not only being there but seeing all the other performances, they were above the competition. You should watch them though....

DISCLAIMER: In no way am I being hostile or offensive.

  • @TheSublimeLifestyle They lack soul to me, they look to me like they have more spirit like cheerleaders to me , you know those straight jerky movements lacking feeling, kinda hard to explain but if you think I'm prejudice because of that statement then that's your problem not mine. I have a right to my opinions and remember not every single thing can be duplicated by everybody.

  • @tiana1017 I understand...and know that prejudice just doesn't mean towards an ethnicity.

  • I just wanna know who taught them how to step like that!

  • Damn.

  • Uuuhhhh. They were in a word B A D.

  • they are awesome. they did their thing.

  • dont hate. most these chicks likely got a black man at home.

  • As A Proud African and Loving Member of the Original Family.....These White Girls Brung IT and They Deserved to WIN!!! Hands Down!!!!!

  • these girls were robbed b/c they are white...that is all it was!!! They really deserved the it!!!

  • They did great hands down....don't be mad because they won. I bet the other sororities will have their stuff together next time!!!!

  • Stepping is an African American invention but just because you invented something doesn't mean the world can't use it! AND I don't care what color they were, them girls tore that thing up SON! And I looked at the other presentations and all I saw (mostly) were Soros trying to look cute and funny as they stepped but no hard core sequential steppin' like the Zeta's did. So if you will pardon the pun "Step your game up" My Soul sistas! love yah!

  • on 2nd thought ...nah they jus killed it...Stay Perfect My Friends!

  • I think this is a good routine but if they were black they would not have won...the main reason they got crowd response is because no one ever saw white girls step...for example..if a gerbil pop locks in a talent show the world would be amazed...if I did it no one would even bat an eye..because its not an oddity..but at the end of the day it was entertaining...Stay Perfect My Friends!

  • Omg!!! They did an AWESOME JOB!!! My first time seeing other than HBCU greeks and man they beat thee other competitors by far!

  • they did good! who says stepping is just for black people [last time i checked NOBODY] so since the judges thought they were the best (and 9 times out of 10 the judges were probably all black so this couldn't've been anything racist) then they were the best, hands down!!!

  • man.. they did a good job..just because they werent black doesnt mean they didnt have the right to win... get over it.. they were best if the judges say so..

  • they killed it, idk y some people say that white people can't step??? :/ I mean they killed it, this right here proves my point, so yeah stepping is not just a black person thing.

  • @Zanimae I AGREE WTH YOU 100%... But I can tell you from looking at this routine some of these steps are from ALPHA PHI ALPHA AND PHI BETA SIGMA... but it doesn't matter ppl steal steps all the time... they just did the damn thang big time!

  • yeah right, who taught them that?

  • Wow! All other sororities keep your mouths of the zeta tau alphaa !

  • I agree...they deserved it. Ain't no time for being CUTE up there...they went deep and pulled it UP! I'll give it to them. They did their thing.

  • (continued) and so many other movies where whites were protrayed as the originators instead of blacks. hell look on tv at all this talent search show. ABDC...what are you f****n serious? Since when have whites been able to step and/or dance better than black. This was our trademark and they took it from us. As far as these ladies go...yea I would have to agree..they KILLED it! Congrats...not gonna lie hope to see them again this year in DC. Good luck ladies

  • yooo Im not even greek but I feel like they did what they had to do in order to take the title. HOWEVER, I do feel like everytime we (the black race) come up with something another race (primarily white) try to step up and take it and put their own twist to it and call it something else and make it seem like it was original. Look at all the movies that came out in the last decade that prove my point. For example, You Got Served, Bring It On (the first one not the crappy 2/3 ones lmao)

  • i didn't know white sorority stepped....i guess black is the new white...s/n they were nice...

  • No Bullshit..They Won!!

  • Where did these females come from ? Never seen nothing like this a day of my life !!! Love it !!!

  • I'm a black woman and I am no hater (hence my user name, hehe) THEY WERE COLD! Instead of hating on their race maybe some of you other BLGO's should take a few notes on what a clean routine with precision and creativity looks like. Not to cause any drama but ZTA had the most clean and creative performance PERIOD! I am a dancer and a former cheerleading coach and I give this routine two thumbs up!

  • OKAii....they got it poppin...this is why i dont underestimate

  • good shit!!!

  • THEY were THE BOMB, enough said,

  • This team deserved to WIN.... stop all the whining about they are white. So what? They won based on their STEP...not their color. I saw some other comments here just saying something about black culture welcoming white people....well...here is a WHITE team at a BLACK event...and they won based on their skills. Most cultures are welcoming....has nothing to do with the color of one's skin....Stop all the racist bullshit!! People are just mad because a BLACK team did not win at a BLACK event.

  • Some of you need to shut d f**k up. This was a good stepping team n if u cant appreciate talent then go back 2 d days were ur asses would be whipped since you cant accept that d wurl is changing n we have 2 suck it up n enjoy. u should b glad that now u can buy a computer 2 c this.Jus enjoy life, change is apart of it.

  • @TheMs1ofakind I know your right, the Zetas were great, I like them, but I don't appreciate your comment on how black people should go back to the days they got whipped. That is really unnecessary. Your right is a part of life, but not every black person is going to agree with that. I mean, look at it from their point of view, there are still a lot of places who ARE racist to black people. And come on, they made hip hop first and that was taken as a white thing, now this. I don't mind it.

  • @TheMs1ofakind yes I am upset that a black group didn't win, but hey I am happy for the Zetas too. They deserved it. But please don't ever repeat that comment again, that is really messed up.

  • @TheMs1ofakind What right do you have to speak about African ancestors who were raped and whipped and murdered to say any black person should go back there? It seems you don't even respect where you came from so I know you don't know how to respect yourself or others. You sound very ignorant and vulgar.

  • what a load of shit they might as well have gone the hole hog and lite a fire put bones through their noses and got their tits out .If this is culture i'm glad i have nothing to do with it.But it's a free country i suppose!

  • As a back man i must say I love it, they got the matrix uniforms going on and they are on it. The rumors of white women having not being able to move is bull shit and they did not have to sake their ass.

  • hmmm... in my opinion, I think they were good, not at all "phenomenal", I think that compared to the other sororities they may have been close to the best but it is very sad that out of all the black sororities in the nation a white team took it.

  • seems like the same thing.. we will champion anybody of a different race whether they are good or not.. I didn't see anything original about their routine except their race and the crowd going crazy.. I truly doubt that if the exact same routine were performed my black ppl, it would garner the same response. Anybody white with a smidge of rhythm will be championed because it's not expected.. but we're all entitled to our opinion

  • OHHHHHH SHIIIIIIITTT they killed it fuck the haters yall won!!!!!!!!!!

  • YALL DID GREAT. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK LADIES.

  • Watching this I will say that the girls were good, but I saw very little originality. I think people are more taken by the fact that they are white than by their actual stepping. Lets just be real about it. We as blacks are always so welcoming or excited to invite white people into our events, and in order to keep them coming sometimes we applaud and reward even if it is not deserved. They usually call it the "House Nigga" mentality. Sorry..

  • As a member of Alpha Phi Alpha. I think they won. I don't care if they were black, white red or brown.

  • I've attended and/ or stepped in step shows since '75, and pimped my pledge line in the Purple and Gold. (roo!) This was tight! The choreography had variety, high difficulty and originality. And, the ripples were off the hook. If someone has a better routine, post it...I'd love to see it!! (Of course, this ol' man could have done w/o all the Tpain booty shakin!) ;-p

  • I'm a member of Zeta Phi Beta...and I think they deserved it. That stroll at the end was dope.

  • As president of my step team here at college - they were beyond phenomenal! There's nothing anyone can say that could possibly subtract from their obvious talent.

  • holy crap they totally deserved it the were phenomenal

  • Really cool video!!!Can't believe they're white girls. They were phenomonal but I have one complaint. They need to work on their voices a little, they kinda sound like cheerleaders, too perky.Otherwise their moves were incredible!!!!!!!

  • hands down these girls won fair. They looked like they had more rhythm than a lot more of the teams I've seen here and other competitions. No need to get mad they worked the hardest and they earned what put into it. I only wish i knew them too. I wish them the best in the future.

  • Im a brother and basically they came in did there thing stop being shallow minded folks You got beat by a bunch of trinitys...lol

  • As a member of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity, inc. This sorority took it hands down.

  • @jspeaks10 Thank you sister for your honesty! They did take it and I hope this has motivated the sisters to TAKE IT BACK!

  • @jspeaks10 Thank you sister! They did take it and I hope this motivates our sisters to take stepping seriously and not just as a time to be cute and sassy but to show the unity and history and precision of the Black Sorority. Yeah, they took it, so now go TAKE IT BACK!

  • @vhickerson I understand where you are coming from. My only hope is that they were trying to do just that, join in. I really hope that it wasn't about tryin to take something away. They may have been motivated to do it because they may feel as though they are not taken seriously. I am not to judge what they are motivated by

  • @alyshaotte dude thats retarded. they're not trying to take away anything. the world is changing. ZTA kicked ass. & no offense, but America isn't divided by white Europeans and black Africans anymore. Hell, Africans dont even consider us african people anymore--They have a name for black americans. We(america) is a melting pot. Our culture isn't pure. whats ours is theirs. and what's theirs is ours. we are becoming one. We're entitled to what they have. Likewise, they are entitled what we have

  • @elitechelle First of all, the use of the word 'retarded' is completelly unnecessary. Second of all, if you make note of my original comment you would see that I am actually in agreement with your opinion. In my second comment, which I am going to assume is the only one you read, I was merely acknowledging that the response made was indeed valid.

So please, next time, become informed before you comment.

  • Who the hell cares what color their skin is, they was gettin it. You can't deny them that. I haven't seen any of the other performances yet so I can't say whether or not I thought they were best, but you can't say that they wasn't makin it do what it do.

  • @alyshaotte Well, if you think of how every time we as African Americans have had to create a heritage because ours has been erased sometimes it'd be good if we could have a few things that Europeans didn't take away from us. And if they were trying to join in with us that's cool. But I think they wanted to win that money by beating us at our own game. Something we've done to them in other areas but because we had to.

  • Dem girls are baaaaad... Took them AKA's and handed them their lunch!

  • They did a great job, i love the ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho sorority Inc, but ZTA did great.....

  • They were good. I didn't know that white people did step shows.

  • dey were good but also didnt c everyone so idk if yall deserved it

  • They Are Not An All White Team , One Of The Girls Is Latino !!!!

  • @Neverforgethaiti And Black

  • they rocked it!

  • I'm very impressed with any of the groups. I will say this, if you want an open competition then have one, if you want a Divine Nine event then make it one. Don't use D9 to hype some MTV movie b.s.

  • @Geezyone

I don't think most people care about D9. They just want to see the best show and this year this was it by a landslide.

  • step up to the streets meets stomp the yard. will be interesting to see what happens next year. bet there will be more groups. either way, takes work to get everyone together on the same page. but i agree with biggriss88 i see alot of reps. i also have seen alot of those moves in previous shows. maybe this will make the other teams come harder next year. i saw the practices on tv about 2 weeks ago. i definitely saw some slacking. people not showing up, etc. only as strong as weakest link

  • they love our swag, if you know what i mean!

  • man stop the bull shit, why do we as black people wanna call everything racist, they had a good routine!! they even danced to Tpain, i mean comeon...now that all white basketball league, thats some racist shit, go tackle that..

  • @BlackWolf020 thank you

  • actually both this team and the aka team won, but to me i see alot of reputiton and unoriginality

  • @biggriss88 i agree

  • jaime bien :)
