  • Can the Voodoo DNA can run SkyRim?

  • My house got burgled last year. The fuckers stole everything! Except for my HP BlackBird 002 computer. Thank fuck it was too heavy for these bastards! It's 35 kg in weight.

Heavy as all hell, but thanks to that I still have a great computer!

  • iv got one :D

  • @RaH1al Me 2, it sucks ass

  • @RaH1al Why... why? WHY?!?!!!

  • why did you stop making them?

  • soo wads da diff between blackbird and firebird dey look prtty much da same and wads da cost of firebird?

  • how can i get an hp firebird 803? i am really interested in this system

  • When I'm playing any games, it is very silence, I love my hp firebird

  • I would love to see a voodoo server with small business server 7 and hp ILO available at tigerdirect canada and us

  • because rahuol no working anymor for hp

  • This could have been a really cool system if it wasn't for them totally choking the system off by not letting you swap the GPU's. They really screwed the pooch on this one. And thanks for running Voodoo into the ground HP!

  • I'm intrigued.. But any experience running Battlefield Bad Company 2?

  • Neverway!.... Good one,Lola

  • I have one, this is the best gaming pc ever made

  • @bumbo31000 you fail so hard that everyone else automatically won.

  • can anyone tell me why they stopped making these?

  • really bad sale

  • oh... i thought they'd do well, looked really nice, good performance, very tidy design and from what ive heard not too expensive?

  • sale wasnt really that bad....its just limited

  • people just did not buy it, but its a descent one its $500 at Frys.

  • VoodooPC and Alienware suck. Falcon Northwest wins.

  • Wow :)

  • *cough*

    *Falcon Northwest Mach IV*

    =3

  • I have this computer!

  • A true voodoo would have 285gtx in tri-sli or 295gtx in sli.

  • u can prolly say that to the blackbird....this one has laptop stuffs.....thats why its pretty small for what its capable of

  • Comment removed

  • nothing about your comment is relevant at all to this computer. It's a cheap, efficient gaming machine that looks good and uses less power. Spoiled nerds get machines with names like AlienWare on them.

  • i bought this and its super cheap it came out 999 usually i get custom made computer bought this will do this is super cheap u must be super poor

  • Smart ones build their own.

  • No matter how smart you are, you cannot build it exactly like this... You aren't building the motherboard from scratch... Anyway I used to always build my own, but this fit the bill for me, thanks Voodoo DNA guys for "getting it"... I like mine and couldn't have built the config any better, only lost one power supply so far and HP customer service was great at replacing it quickly and for free, warranty still in effect until 2011.

  • can smart one build cases like this..? xD

its one of its unique features where the cold air gets in below the case and warm air gets above it...it really keeps its cool even though it only has 2 really small fans

  • i thought it was liquid cooled...

  • @wiseye61 it was.... was... when the first 50 customers reported leaking... the sales killed the product, and at that point the number of custom pc's sky-rocketed!

(users were getting the memo to NOT buy gaming pc's from retailers)

  • dude stfu just cuz ur poor dusnt mean everyone is

  • i'm not poor, i just can't use a firebird

    why?

    because i have a 1920x1080 screen

  • dude i just bought a firebird and im using it on my dedicated 52" sony monitor full res lookss gr8

  • Yeah but. lets see them get their rig this size power consumption, silent, graphics and cpu power that it puts out for 600-900, Not to mention a OS.

  • That is easily done. I see them left and right with my friend's machines and here in Youtube. Especially now that the liquid cooling of the Firebird and the Blackbird, which is the Corsair H50 is now on retail. The only thing that PC builders cannot do is the power consumption. But for most of us, power consumption is not really one of the key points we look at. For us, it is all about performance and power.

  • Comment removed

  • My point, exactly. But did you mean triple GTX 295 or maybe triple 4870 x2.

  • theres no 6-way sli neigher crossfire...

but if there was :D 3x single PCB GTX 295 or 3x the TBA 4890X2

    ^^ hard question...

  • Comment removed

  • Its like the Ferrari/ Lamborghini version of the desktop gaming computers, the way everything is custom made for it.

  • Alienware kinda sucks donkey dick

  • I love HP and Alienware

  • and apple!

  • What about emachines?

    jk

  • I like how they make their notebooks out of that brushed aluminum, instead of that glossy plastic that other manufactures use.

    Go Apple!

  • amen

  • Rahul,

I'm a bit confused. I just purchased an HP Firebird. The Specs say it has:Dual SLI NVIDIA GeForce 9800S MXM 3.0 graphics cards with 512MB DDR3 memory on each card. But when I look in the Device Manager it says:Nvidia nForce 760SLI. Are these the same cards or do I have different architecture in my system? How do I change the color of the light as well? Please and thanks for your help,

    Rich

  • There are little green arrows on your taskbar, select that. Save power uses all the stuff on the MOTHERBOARD only. But Boost Preformance uses the motherboard and the dual 9800's.

  • where did u buy it from??

im in london and cant fine even on hp's crappy site its like the worst site for a huge company

please tell me if u live in uk :|

  • I figured it out... The settings adjust the readout of the Vieo card. If I set the power saving mode to "save power" it doesn't label the video card, as soon as I switch to "boost power" it registers the proper video card name... Thanks for getting back to me Whiz, I live in Los Angeles. I love the Firebird I just wish I could overclock it like the Blackbird...

  • Harrods =D

  • They dont make them anymore :(

  • i think its not on sale anymore o.o

  • @jipokz007 it's still on sale on a number of sites. ecost is selling for $700 and i bought it from newegg. check froogle and search for hp firebird

  • im with you there mate, i think theyve changed it, but HP';s uk website is or at least used to be awful...

  • this will be shit one day... certainly not now!!

  • new cards, new parts and all the upgrades, jaja, lol, this pc is pretty cool, remember guys, when buying a pc, don't think in (upgrade) technology is growing too fast, remember just a few years ago, when a 128 video card was so cool!1 and now those card are like... shit, when the next generation of video cards comes available, it won't use a pci express 16x, you will have to buy a new motherboard, just like always man!! everything evolves, keep that in mind, peace!! :)

  • I like the direction Voodoo is taking, smaller size, more efficient. I actually admire this design far more than the Blackbird. However, they have yet to resolve the issue of upgradability and expandability. This will not take a standard dekstop GFX card. There are also very limited PCI expansion slots(1). And water cooling doesnt make sense, low power PCs dont produce much heat, a couple low speed fans would suffice. This would reduce cost and make replacing/upgrading easier.

  • The two cards in the computer run equivalent to two 9600GT's in SLI. I'd like to see an upgrade path to the MXM cards. They do have documents on HP's site that show how to take the graphics cards out and remove the water cooling from them so maybe they can be upgraded.

  • There is no physical space to fit a conventional high end video card(s) in there. If you were to upgrade, you would be limited to cards of that size or smaller only, and chances are the water block would not fit on the new card(s). Unless its not a full cover water block (better coverage across entire card). In which case it would be just a universal GPU block, with RAM sinks installed. On a new card(s) you would only need new RAM sinks in that case.

  • I dont mean a conventional card, i mean an MXM card like it has now. The HP documents show how to take the cooling apparatus off the cards and then how to remove them from the case so i'm assuming that *theoretically* replacements could be made with the same form factor. I wish they would have went that route.

  • Yes im sure the cooling can be removed, but i can almost guarantee it will not fit on future cards of the same form factor. Im not as familiar with MXM cards as conventional desktop GPUs, but im sure layout and design of each card changes with each model, even physical size may vary slightly.

  • @magicmax0 well low power, can still mean higher current of amps or smaller wires and design so things are closer.

  • you guys need to get a version with a 3.0GhZ processor or at the very least 7200RPM HDD. 5400RPM, in a desktop? Please... And if you guys offer flash based HDD, I WILL BUY. Or at the very least get the 803 back on sale. 802 just isn't for me. Maybe even i7, that'd be F'ing FANTASTIC. I'd love to buy but it's just a tad weak, make it a little bigger so it can support upgrades from normal sized cards.

I really appreciate the design, it is certainly amazing. The water cooling is fantastic too.

  • Hey do u guys know what happened to the 803 version because i went to check on the HP website and it's not there. They now only sell the 802 version????

  • I just bought one of these systems today and I have to say it rocks. It's a great design and the performance is outstanding. I've had both Macs and PCs and this is by far the best system I've seen.

  • Would this computer work for wow/warhammer, etc, etc? I mean I know it would, but how well does this work?

  • my friend just got it today, its very quite, at first, it took very long time to boot up.

overall, its does good job on games but its not top of end and its very tough to upgrade on ur own so if u r a person who just buy comp and use it till it breaks, its for u.

  • does this computer have wireless internet? or does it have to be wired?

  • Lust worthy, but with a limited upgrade path i think gamers should look elsewhere.

  • the price on this computer seems reasonable, 1200 dollars (US)

  • i got 2 im a kid

  • :O SEXY~ i want to get a job just for this!

  • is this liquid cooling?

  • Yes

  • I want a good looking PC that will mainly sit in my home theater and will be used 90% for downloading and playing videos on a HDTV along with itunes, bluray, etc. basicaly a media center for my home theater. maybe 10% will be gaming. But I already have a pc I use for gaming, so it will be mostly for media purposes. I am between this PC and the Sony home theater PC that looks like a hockey puck. I'm between these two because they are the only two that would look nice in the tv room. any help???

  • HP must lower the price in Canada. $2199 is too much for this machine. Lower the price to $1599 and then it's an option to buy for those that don't want to upgrade and want a laptop that looks like a desktop. So what if firebird is quieter, I guess now buyers can hear themselves screaming in frustration when the firebird chokes.

  • I don't know why my other comment didn't make it through.

The custom system that I mentioned below costs CDN$1323.92 and you get a 1TB hard drive, Q9550 cpu and a better video card. Contrast this with the CDN$2199 firebird 802 with a 512GB hard drive and Q9400 cpu and laptop video cards.

You save $876.07 and you can buy a blue-ray player or PS3 with a fraction of the money you saved.

  • yah sweet. But, i dunno if it has the great cable management, look, size and is as quiet as this computer?

  • Here is what I can build in Ottawa, Canada in cdn dollars:

Case: Antec Nine Hundred Tower: $129.99

    Power supply: THERMALTAKE 600W ATX 2.0: $109.99

    Motherboard: ASUS Motherboard P5Q DELUXE INTELP45: $249.99

    CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 / 2.83 GHz: $349.00

    2 x CRUCIAL 2 GIG DDR2-800: $59.98

    Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 - Hard drive - 1 TB - internal - 3.5" - Sata 300 - 7200 rpm: $119.99

    MSI ATI RADEON HD 4870 1024MB: $269.99

LG 22x DVD±RW Dual Layer DVD Burner: $34.99

    TOTAL PRICE: CDN$1323.92

  • yeah this is a good system, if you want use crossfire with two 4870x2 , upgrade psu cause 600 is too low, use at least 850 i think watts

  • does it come with a monater

  • idk, if you're lucky it might

  • HP doesn't have the link to buy the 803...

  • i got one i rocks

  • This computer is a very cheap, powerful, gaming computer for people who can't afford the high end computers. I'm not saying this isn't a high end computer, but its in the middle, and its not one of those $5,000, you can get this for $1,200, very good pricing for this type of system.

  • I just want to know, is it smaller and sleeker than the Blackbird?

  • way

  • i need to buy one.

  • Only thing worth paying for is the case...

  • black bird was better.

  • I like the customizable features lol. Why did they take that out.

  • no upgrade options.

  • If only they built a budget box with this case...i would never buy a gaming rig from a computer company, much cheaper to build your own.

  • Yeah, The Blackbird 002 was way too expensive, but at least it had good components and upgradeability options. In my mind, this is a step in the wrong direction. This feels like a shell of the Blackbird.

  • I bet I can build a similiar sized computer for a cheaper price and with better components...

  • Omen was fucking better. You can't even customize parts anymore with this bullshit new "VOODOO DNA."

  • The VooDoo pc is one of the best gaming computers built, HP is one of the best brands out there, their basic pc's can handle well intense games. I had a hp pavilion dv4000 (which is a basic) and it handled vista ultimate smoothly. NOW... since I broke mine, I'm looking forward to purchase this well modified pc. 5/5 definitly worth the price.

  • i want

  • you newegg build better for less-lets see: Newegg: Vista Home Premium ATX Full Tower w/600w ps Intel Motherboard 775 NVIDIA nForce 790i Intel Core2 Quad Q9400 OCZ 4GB DDR2 GeForce GTX 280 1GB x2=500gb) Seagate Barracuda 250GB 7200 RPM HP 22X DVD±R LightScribe 5n1 memory card reader Logitech Standard Cordless Keyboard & Mouse price:$1,503.89 Firebird: $1,799 with pro build 1yr wty voodoo support software and 350w ps instead of 600w is there that big of a difference in cost?
  • cool

  • that voodoo is for small and this for lan parties

  • wow

    overpriced crap

  • exactly what the fuck happend to voodo they used to be so awesome!

  • HP bought them out and now they're going mainstream.

They won't admit it but I think that's exactly what happened.

  • put hp blackbird 002's case on sale it would be so cool

  • it is on sale for 600$

  • where can i get it?

  • This thing looks cool, but performance is way to low for the price. I can build one at half the cost and TWICE the performance!!

  • I'd like to see you build it and make it consume 350 watts of power... I can guarantee that 1 of your graphics cards would probably consume that. This product was targeted at the people who wanted to game, and lower their footprint in the world. Get your facts straight

  • thats why you go with falcon northwest, voodo went downt he shitter when they made this i mean discontinuing other models is just lame!

  • all of u saying u can go to newegg and build a better pc in no time...ok u can.... but it wont be built like this.... quality is what u also must notice in this rig i mean it has liquid cooling, professional wiring, and with all that said it has optimal cooling and also the case is sik as hell

  • what makes you think you cant do that with a bult from scratch pc?

  • and yet looks like shit! i mean the omen was the pinaclle of it all now ... ew.

    falcon northwest>this shit.

  • "there is nothing like it" looool, 2 8800gs?

my pc destroys this girls pc, not even close hp clowns.... hey even my mothers dual 4760 mini atx pc > this mega crap

  • the system is all about hype, the power saving is also hype for me, cause nvidia and intel are not going to waste there money invested on this crap, many people who dont know computer will probably buy it, like pc gamer, they will jsut make their own, put whatever you want in it.

  • Guys stop bashing. Remember the last time a mainstream constructor like HP included liquid cooling and stunning design to their products?

Yea Apple did it but it doesn't count. Keep up the fantastic work Voodoo team!

  • it honestly isn't as terrible as everything else sold at stores. A better question is when was the last time a mainstream constructor made something worth buying for gaming? Answer is still never. Even the rigs that are good enough cost about 5x as much as you should be paying.

  • A nice innovation, I congratulate Voodoo and will be keeping a close eye on this machine.

  • these guys actually get paid for make pos like this? I could go on newegg and in 3 minutes have a better computer than this

  • omg, so 1337!

  • I wonder how much this would cost. Planning on getting a 3rd PC for just the average surfing the web.

  • You gonna get this for average surfing? You must be rich.

  • lol I wish I was rich. But it doesn't mean I'm gonna spend over 1k for a 3rd PC. I'll probably build it from my old parts once I upgrade to Core i7.

  • Its a ponce pc and crap specs. Expected more from voodoo.

  • "It's a giant on the inside" lol, right, with those crappy specs.

And what's up with two 9800GS? They're crap and it's less energy efficient than using a single 9800GTX+ or GTX260 core 216, they both have hybrid power.

    Stupid computer.

  • its a laptop gpu (they think someone will fall for that) althout it looks nasty

  • No it's not, it clearly states on their website that it's a 9800 GS, not a 9800M GS (mobile version). And even if it was a mobile gpu there are plenty of laptops with better cards than the GS, like the GT or GTX.

The power saving talk is bullshit, first of all they use two gpus and it's a fucking desktop it's not like it runs on batteries.

  • totaly agree

i have absolutely no fin idea which gamer would buy that (games normaly dont give a shit about power saving because they want power) and yes this is a very stupid buy bcause there are lots of better cards wich also althout noone cares also have power saving capabilities

  • They're probably laptop cards, which is why they pull so little power. I could be wrong though.

  • Meh, I went to the site and the technical specs are disappointing, when we're at a time that the industry is turning to the Core i7, this computer is still socket 775(choices: Q9400 or Q9550), nvidia 760 chipset, DDR2-800, the graphic cards are dual 9800GS(really stupid choice, it should at least be a 9800GT or a single GTX260), the hard drives are 5400rpm(extremely stupid).

    It's shiny, it's pretty...but I'll pass.

  • bla bla bla ..people be warned from a person that bought one of these ..they forget about you when your check clears so sad that i was pushed to the curb.. not even a return e-mail

  • so now the backbird002 that im using i not the best ...you guys never return my calls.. i need help im getting the blue screen of death on my blackbird 002 Ive left 5 messages calling Canada costs me money

  • looks like shit

  • Looks really nice but price will be high.

  • Really good computer.

If windows 7 is good i might go back to pc, and this will be updated when 7 releases

If 7 is a bust, im gonna stay with my mac

  • in my mind, windows OS's are always good every other. XP was good, vista sucks, so the next one should have worked out all the kinks that vista had, and it will be optimized for better performance.

  • awesome case

  • Upload HD quality videos already! :D

  • sick case guys!!!!!!!
