@mydarkeningheart - (I keep my strap where I find it comfortable, which yes, may be a little higher than most. I don't limit myself).. That's freaking awesome, just like your playing. Im getting a esp this week, ima put her in drop c with 10z or 11z.
thats pretty cool, i did laugh when you paused before the triplet though sorry i know its cruel but like you said in the description it was just improv so whatever mistakes is aiight!
It's not cruel at all. I laugh at that part too. I listen to this and I realize how I never do triplets so when I try to do them I ALWAYS mess em up lol. I hardly play anymore tho.
dude your stuff rocks. If i lived in that area id be jamming with you. That little slide thing you were doing was pretty cool. I almost want to steal it :) jk
I am sure they would sound fine as long as your guitar is set up for the tuning correctly. They also have a 7 string model of the pickup (or so I recall). Search for it and see if you can find a vid on it. You can hear the lower string tones. :)
thanks man, my guitar is currently in drop c and prepared to be lowered and resetup in drop A/Standard b, so basicaly like a 7 string without the high e
you're insulting seymour duncan and yourself by recording those good riffs, with those better pickups through that awful toneport. Get a decent amp dude.
No offense but this isn't meant to sound professional. It is meant to be a shitty recording and to serve soley as a quick means to record and share my riffs or thoughts. If I want a true recording I will plug a mic into my Digi002 and open Protools. I am also saving up for an Engl Powerball. I know how to pick good amps and make a good tone, unfortunately I am like most college students and don't have the money to spend.
Yup. You can also tie a bandana around the headstock under tune strings like Antoine Dufour. I don't do it that way tho because the excess hang from the bandana would annoy me.
I don't know actually. I would say your best bet would be to try it between the locks and that little metal piece you put the strings under. You really don't notice a huge difference unless your recording or doing quick starts and stops tho. It isn't meant to clean up everything, just a few really high octave harmonics that can muddy up your sound. Most people don't even hear a difference tho, to be honest.
Yea, well the tone is just umm... okay to me. I will be moving soon. When I do I plan on seeing if I can fix my issues that I was having that forced me to use my toneport and find a better recording option.

"I hardly play anymore tho." ......You're joking right? You better have a good excuse because you are wasting talent people would love to have.

I love em to pieces!
mydarkeningheart 3 years ago
do you think the blackouts would work well with a detuned guitar? say like drop A?

so u just place it directly above the nut?

i see, would there be much of a difference with putting a hairband above the nut with a floyd rose?

niice, whats that orange thing above the nut for?
nardingster 4 years ago
It's a hair band. It reduces the hum and take away some high pitched harmonics that are caused when doing quick starts and stops.
mydarkeningheart 4 years ago
Really? I will try that. Coll video btw, 4 stars!

thats smart man, now i dont have to waste like 90 bucks on a dampner.

Your tone sounds fine.. it's the fact that you are using a webcam mic. Of course you mentioned that. I've liked most of what I've heard by you.
hxcainsophaur 4 years ago
I'm not using a wecam mic. I an DI into a Line 6 Toneport UX2.
mydarkeningheart 4 years ago
Oh.. I missed read that.. personally it sounds a little mushy then.. haha.. whatever.. your riffs are still sick.
