  • I've never laughed so hard at a youtube video.. and this video isn't even meant to be funny.. just 1:26 - 1:29 is hilarious :L

excuse me while I knaw off my hands.

    /ragequit

    =D

    Have a Great day!

  • @GalensProductions "I" would say that we do it to verbally express patriotism and to both pledge our allegiance to our country and to verbally express and acknowledge the core principles which have an important role in the success and prosperity of our Country.

This is MY understanding of the pledge of Allegiance

    Have a splendid day!

    Peace

  • We just say god save the queen and pretend to mean it.

  • that was oddly beautiful ....

  • Very cool guys...seriously loved it...cant believe some people wouldnt do it...commie scum

  • Who the heck is "Richard Stands?"

  • GIR!!!!!!! :D

  • Really? Who really disliked this video?! I will cut you!

  • why can't people just watch a video withouth discussing gorvernment and politics? If you wanna have a debate, make a blog for it or sumtin. I think Rhett and Link made this video for people to watch and laugh at, not to start a political debate.

  • Like if ur in Australia

  • Sorry. Not "Ruth." Should have said "with." darned autocorrect.

  • @Darusdel the Pledge Of Allegiance has absolutely nothing to do Ruth our government. It was created decades ago, as a way of encouraging patriotism among grade school-aged children. It's required by nobody, of no one. There is an oath of allegiance that must be sworn, however, when any non-native becomes an American Citizen. You'll probably find that in any country's citizenship process.

  • i thinlk they said under dog

  • @ Senfeule This pledge is a promise of loyalty to our country, in the form of its symbol, our flag, and what it represents. Pay attention to the verbiage. It's not a matter of pride for most of us, it's love of our country. Many have died in wars on our own soil for that flag to fly, and for the freedoms we enjoy here. And you are correct in your assumption that we don't care what you think of our unabashed love of our nation and our flag. We would hope you love your country just as much.

  • @tbuck501 democratic republic built upon on freedom demands a pledge of allegiance, now that's funny. in no other free society is this required. you're just parroting indoctrinated bullshit, which is naive and pathetic.

nor could that even be understood as patriotic, more like nationalism...

  • @senfeule "couldnt you do [The Pledge of Allegiance] without the patriotic crap..." (Proper grammar omitted to show your stupidity) Is that a real question, can one pledge allegiance to their respective country without being patriotic? By your school of thought, we shouldn't be proud of the family we're born into either. Think about it you naive twat, you could have just as easily been born in America yourself. Why do you feel the need to jump on YouTube and fuck up everyones' day. Do yourself

  • WooHoo that Missouri girl has a gir T-Shirt!!!!

    Rock on!!!!

  • One nation under God indivisible bringing liberty and justice for all

  • couldnt you do it without the patriotic crap you americans usualy do? thats fucked up and stupid.. destroyed the whole thing for me.. dont be proud of something where you randomly were born.. you can be proud of something you achieved, but to be proud of your country is just stupid and its the cause of all your stupid wars.. theres a world outside of america, believe it or not! your country isnt the center of the universe..

  • @SenfeuIe "destroyed the whole thing for me"

Oh, I see you clicked on "Pledges of Allegiance (Across America)" because you thought this would be about kittens or something. You really are as stupid as the rest of the comment leads one to believe.

  • @EssentialMattParker omg.. is it so hard to understand that i mean the whole road trip? get a life and start bringin real arguments!

  • @EssentialMattParker omg.. is it so hard to understand that i mean the whole road trip? get a life and start bringin real arguments!

  • @SenfeuIe Pretty much every assumption you made here was wrong. America is not really all that patriotic on the whole, nobody in England is going to bash the government or the Queen like Americans bash their government and president. The heavily patriotic are a vocal minority. Also, I have no idea what country you are from, but I have nothing against it.

  • @theuserofthissite i didnt say goverment! you are patriotic, like every stupid nationalist is, about his COUNTRY! and NO its not at all like that in europe! i think its nowhere in the world like that. if you would come to my country and do this they would laugh at you, cause its so stupid. and no you dont hurt anybody with that, but with wars, that appear cause of that, because you think you are better then other countrys. wtf man? you are human.. stop blessing your country and look at the world!

  • @SenfeuIe I'm not patriotic, I'm not a nationalist, and I'm sure as hell not stupid. I see no difference between America and the rest of the world aside from inconsequential cultural differences. Also I'd like to point out that the war in the Middle East is widely disliked by the American people, and it was approved by the government to begin with, not the country. The only reason you believe Americans think they are better than others is because of your own stereotyping.

  • listen now im only a kid but i know that when you are watching a video respecting your or someone elses country you do not post comments with foul language, you do not make fun of or call the people in it stupid and you do not say that this country is stupid. I am a proud american, and if you are in another country and reading this i'd like to tell you that i respect any country that doesn't seek war, and doesn't patronize other countries. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

  • God bless y'all for making this video! I got chills when everyone of them said, "one nation, under God "

  • One nation -- indivisible with liberty and justice for all.

  • @p1mpmastamike One nation -- indivisible with liberty and justice for some.

  • Possibly the most patriotic video I've ever seen.

  • @hugehalofan011 that's what you get with nationalism and indoctrination...

  • I HATE CANADA.

  • Stop mentioning Canada. It's completely irrelevant. I am sorry to say that nobody gives a fuck if you're from there.

  • That clock in the background is kick ass 1:34

  • Ahh, very refreshing. We all need to step back and appreciate what we have and how great a country we are. Even with some flaws, we still have it better than others, always remember that.

  • -"indivisible"

    -"invincible"

    -"yes invincible"

    jajaja

  • Yes -- "invisible"...

  • oh herro! i predge arrigence to the flag of the united states of amerrriwica and too da repubric and which it staands one nation under god invisible wiff riberty and justin fer all (in an asian accent) thats how my mom sounds when she tried to say it one day lol

  • I always found it funny how America is so fixated on thier national anthem when countries like here in England could care less :L

  • Fuck America go Canada -3

  • @SuperBaylor1 probably the stupidest thing ive read all day.

  • the people from Missouri should really buy those socks. 3 for $2 that's a fair deal.

  • YAY! You guys included West Virginia! Half of the people in this country don't even realize WV exists as its own state, lol.

  • ¡¡¡VIVA MÉXICO!!! Es mejor

  • prefiero a México :)

    i prefer México :)

  • After being brainwashed into saying this for years, I can no longer say all of this.

I can say "I pledge of allegiance, to the flag, of the united states of america."

I dont "pledge to our republic for which it stands" because it is run by bought-out crooks.

I cant say "one nation, under god" Because Im agnostic. Why be so ignorant thinking your religion is right?

And no "indivisible, with liberty and justice for all", when so many are unfairly treated in this country.

  • @krazycolton95

Well, under god doesn't have to strictly mean one god, however it does exclude those who are atheist as well non-religious agnostics.

I think a part of it is that it wasn't created in ignorance, just that it's kind of tradition and hard to change.

I personally would keep it, as well as in any anthems across the world, since it really is a part of the history. I would, however, allow each person to personalize it to their liking.

  • >__< It's sad how I unknowingly remember how I memorized this, and never will forget it, yet I can never remember or memorize anything else that's somewhat important.

  • AMERICA. FUCK YEAH!

  • My state's a beast! She had a Gir shirt on! XD

  • FUCK IM CANADIAN :(

  • Nation n. - A relatively large group of people organized under a single, usually independent government; a country.

    So we ARE a nation.

  • The pledge was written by a socialist, Francis Bellamy. We are not a nation, we are a federation of free, sovereign and independent states, a Union. We don't have a national government we have a federal government. The president gives the state of the Union Address, not the state of the nation. Stop being conditioned by government schools and textbooks. The military flag is always used in the flag, we have a civilian flag, the average person doesn't have a clue.

  • Beautiful.

  • Brainwash

  • She had a Gir shirt! New best friend.

  • This Should be a Commercial for America :)

  • IDK why but this made me tear up....

    USA USA USA

p.s. i wished this had follow along lyrics

    ^_^

  • America f*ck yeah!!!!

  • ANYBODY WANNA SING THE PLEDGE WITH US?

Everyone! To the tune of Sexy Back!

    I pledge allegiance to.. YEAH!!

The United States of America.. YEAH!!

And to the republic for which it stands.. YEAH!!

  • 0:15 "there really strict about doin things around here" What so your sayin saying the pledge of allegiance is aginst the rules!?

  • Rock on!!!!

  • <3 <3 i'm never patriotic but i love this!

  • I <3 you Canada.

  • Rhett and Link are the two best things to happen to America since George Washington and diet pills

  • I feel so patriotic watching this video. :)

  • I live in Sweden. THIS VIDEO MEANS NOTHING!! =P

  • I respect this video.

  • forwhichitstans is a small country in the middle east.

  • @VayMatt ahahahahaha, awesome!

  • It's kinda sad how many people don't know the pledge of alligence..... It the least we can do for our country!

  • to the REPUBLIC, for which it stand !

  • Damn mexicans are in mexico, too?

  • @mozoblast It isn't "immature" to have disagreements. And considering that we "Americans" are a confederation of fifty-two (yes that's the right number) separate countries (State == country), national level agreement on all issues isn't necessary let alone desirable. Its part of that whole "freedom" thing we like to go on about (but don't get me started on how good a job we actually do at living up to the ideal).

  • To the people talking about evolution--NO scientist will ever say that humans evolved from apes, so your debate is moot. That idea is ridiculous, but it isn't even an idea. More of a joke.

  • @DivineTissueBox hmm really? So Darwin wasn't a scientist? Hawking isn't a scientist? I think you don't know what your talking about..which you really shouldn't speak about a subject you don't know anything about.

  • @rothwoodcreations Darwin and Hawking were most definitely scientists, but neither of them were stupid enough to presume we evolved from apes, chimps, or any other monkey. What they DO, however, hypothesize about is that humans evolved from a common ancestor as apes. Which means that millions of years ago, there was a species that divulged into two species, which independently evolved into homo sapien sapiens and various species of monkeys. I still hold that this debate belongs elsewhere.

  • The girl at 0:37 IS AWESOME ALL BECAUSE OF HER SHIRT!!!!!

  • what is the pledge of allegiance.. i didnt learn it from the video because it cut at every bit lol

  • @lexalolsicnh I pledge allegiance to the flag, of the United States of America, and to the republic, for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

  • It seems as though I have offended a few people with my comment. I would like to apologise to you all if I did. I did not intend on doing this. It was a case of opening my mouth without thinking. My Apologies again.

  • @AndyMJF Nah, no offense. I've actually heard it before; seems some people don't quite get it. I think we probably only "get it" because we grew up around it. I think a few people mistake it for something... else, too.

  • I laughed at the Kentuckians struggling with it a little... and I'm allowed, because I am one. 'Sides, we have our own pledge. Because the Commonwealth is funny that way. More likely to hear "I pledge allegiance to the Kentucky flag, and to the Sovereign State for which it stands, one Commonwealth, blessed with diversity, natural wealth, beauty, and grace from on High."

  • From an outside perspective, the US pledge of allegiance really creeps me out. I've always thought that patriotism was an overrated quality, though.

  • anyone noticed that bear attacking him at 1:49?

  • Please dont take this wrong way and I mean this in the niceset way possible. But if America is 'democratic and FREE' country , then why is that everyone who lives there subjected to pledges of allegiance, especially the poor kids who dont have a choice bless em!

  • @AndyMJF it's not that we're subjected, we LOVE our awesome country! GOD BLESS AMERICA!

  • @AndyMJF What the heck are you talking about? I'm pretty sure we aren't required to say the pledge of allegiance... It's not like the government says, "You didn't wake up and immediately state the pledge of allegiance this morning?! Off to prison and intense interrogation you go!" The way you said "the poor kids who don't have a choice", you made it sound like reciting the pledge is some cruel method of torture.

  • @AndyMJF We aren't "subjected" to it. Its by choice, if at all. There are some people who don't recite, and even one religious group I know of that considers it blasphemous to do so. (Jehovah's Witnesses) Some individual States have their own pledges, some official and some not. Some other institutions have similar pledges (some of the Baptist Conventions for example, and a variety of professionals' organizations). Its just something "weird" that we do.

  • Too bad some Americans think liberty and justice for all only includes straight white Christian folk.

Luckily most don't! Yay America (Canada's still better XD)

  • @WhyLimeTime I happen to be straight, white, and Christian, but ALL means ALL, thank God! Liberty and justice for ALL!

  • @Bonestheninja

YES! Thank you. Not all people are like that, of course. In fact I'd be willing to bet most aren't. But the select few that are like that are also a hell of a lot more vocal about their views and get all the attention.

  • @Bonestheninja FINALLY!!! some one understands! im with ya! and most Straight, White, Christians at least that i've met and i've met quiet a few arnt like that!

  • @WhyLimeTime Hmmm...really? I'm sure this makes sense coming from inexperienced 19 yo. When are people like you going to learn that defusing or pointing out hatred is not done by discriminating against another group of people? You wanna pick on Jews too? Just because there are morals and standards to follow in a religion doesn't mean you have to follow if you refuse to be a part of it. So what's your point other than being a negative prick? Yea sofar with that Canada still sucks a big one.

  • @WhyLimeTime

Even the Christians, according to our own doctrine, shouldn't believe the straight white Christian thing. But some do.

And then they wonder why they have a bad name.

  • @Beandude202

I'm a straight white Christian myself, but I totally agree. It always hurts to see others giving Christians a bad name by being hateful and derogatory towards wonderful people belonging to certain groups. It hurts, on a more personal level, when others insult me because I'm a Christian by talking about Christians as a whole, or even attacking my faith personally. It's still discrimination people! I mean come on!

  • @WhyLimeTime

I know what you mean. People tend to lump the hypocritical Christians in with the rest of us, thinking we're all of the same mind. I just hope more people realize that not all Christians are like that.

  • @Beandude202

It's sad no matter the situation.

I'd love to see the reaction of a gay loving, christian basher if they found out the my gay friend is Christian himself! They just wouldn't comprehend the fact!

Oh well. Maybe some day people will just accept others for the fact that they're a living creature.

  • @WhyLimeTime Canada was better, untill Justin Bever came...

  • @TheBumbleBunny

We're still better, because then Rebecca Black came along and evened out the score.

  • Comment removed

  • @WhyLimeTime Actually most of America doesn't but I do feel bad because the stupid ass westboro baptist church was spawned here.

  • @Dallastown18

I know most don't, since most people aren't assholes. But some do, and it's saddening.

  • @WhyLimeTime Uhuh.

  • I don't care what anyone says. This is my country and I am proud to be an American.

  • One of my favorites.. well done guys.

  • This video should be in the top ten most viewed for 2011.

    Very Well Done guys.

  • "yes, invisible"

  • I'm surprised no one said "...with lemon trees and jello for all." I'm so used to hearing that that it surprises me when people get it right!

  • Wow. You guys making these posts disgust me. Why on earth are you reacting in this way? You, the ones who have started this by hating on the Pledge, do not deserve what America gives you.

  • How great. Nicely edited to boys.

  • I don't think I could do that...

  • Go Arizona!! :D

  • LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!!!!!!!!!! FUCK YEA!!!!! THATS RIGHT! EVEN YOU RUSSIA!!!

  • Why would anyone even dislike this?

  • @RAMENkg If they dont like America, so anyone around the world...

  • I love the pledge of allegiance as much as the next guy, but i also love seperation of church and state. i prefur to call it the seperation of religion and government, it makes it a bit more self explanatory and incompases all religions, not everyone worships in a church!

  • You already know this, but you guys are FREAKING AWESOME.

  • I love this classic

  • At 1:15 they say "Under God" next to a thing saying THE BIG BANG. LOL

  • if there is one this usans are, its goddamn patriotic. :/

  • @CrazyBabyMonkey5697 I am talking about more than one person. That is why 'hands' is plural. I don't know what they right way to type that is, but saying 'our hand over our hearts' seems like we only have one hand and have to share it.

  • @wookieetown ?

I don't really understand what that has to do anything...

If you mean that I typed "hand over your heart" wrong, well no, I didn't....you put one hand over YOUR one heart. It's speaking to each individual.

But it that's not what your talking about, then I don't really know what you're talking about.. :/

  • I think Chuck Norris just shed a tear

  • Oh my god 1:27
