saltyninja i was a beginner and i got the 2wd with brushed motor but soon realized that my friends slashes went a lot faster becuz they have a 4wd so if u want to go for speed get the 4wd which is a little more and a better long term faster car to go with and i will soon be getting the sidewinder v2 becuz my 2wd goes 2 sllow. and it also depends of ur running nimh or lipos so consider that when buying a slash also.

Which one should I get for beginners?? 2wd or 4wd???

@saltyninja01 my friend has 4wd and it is not faster but is is much more complicated and it tends to break a little more. I have 2wd and it rarely breaks and it is still a total blast. But the real rocky off roading is not as good with 2wd. Overall I would recommend the 2wd.

this truck is awsome if u rebuild the tranny and clean it u can get like 25 mph because i had 1 and me and my dad did that and we bought a radar gun to see how fast it went but gas ones are 10 times as better and fun...nitro ones are good but cost more money in the long run. gas ones go faster and longer per run instead of nitro but nice vid

i have the slash vxl 1/16 4wd velinieon brushless version. Has posibility tho conect to batteries in paralel and of corse need to change spor gear that knows about 80km/h and with one batteries normal spur gear can around 64km/h. Its avesome has a hole reduction system is very advanced- Is cool this movie and the music is avesome. I listen it alot of times.

speeds arent too fast for the brushed. The video is brushed and what you see is about the top speed. If you plan on racing the stock class, get the brushed because its loads of fun. VXL does have a class too but its alot faster. Pick whichever one you can afford.

i want one badly!!! it takes abuse better than my e maxx and handles jumps better. sadly for me seeing as e maxx is more costly :P rcuniverse, are the tires good cause my e maxx stock ones are terrible, the slash looked to grip really well but maybe my car has the BL torque stuffing it up

Yes, the price is around $200 American. You can shop around and find them hovering around that price...sometimes a little cheaper. Check Ebay for a good deal as well. The tires hook up well but arent the best you can buy. I think the prolines are a little better. Try turning the stock rear tires areound so the tread is backwards for better traction.
