Search on youtube: 2011 Forum - Protecting Pollinators from Pesticides: Stopping the demise of honeybees
This is the newest information after it was revealed that EPA was covering up that pesticides are harming the bees. The pesticide companies are that powerful.
Here are some simple instructions to how to build a house for one of natures best pollinators. The mason bee. A gentle, solitary insect that is a better pollinator then a honey bee.
Reduction of diet quality contributes to CCD susceptibility. Bees produce enzymes which go into honey resulting in anti-microbial properties. These enzymes are manufactured from the nutritive pollens they eat.. Collection of pollen monocultures and removal of honey results in dormant season CCD. When enzyme productivity is low (winter) bees are given poor food substitutes: the hive’s anti-microbial properties are compromised. Then we add clothianidin/chemicals to the environment, not wise!
