  • Thumbs up if you paused the video to try and catch his/her in the reflection of the macbook to try and figure out if its a he or a she !

  • its macbook 13'' or 15 '' inches?

  • @acadna 13'' ;)

  • I'm going to college from september (not university, I'm in uk so its like a school u go to before uni) anyway .... I have a little 10" screen samsung notebook and I was wondering if maybe I should take it to school and stuff and then buy iMac or should I buy a macbook pro and take it to college and use it for my personal things 2... Mainly video editing etc. So should I stick to my notebook for college and buy iMac for my personal use .... What do you think ... Any suggestions?

  • @xStrawberryPringles If you want to use your laptop at school, you should pick up the 11'' or 13'' MacBook Air 'cause it only weighs about 1kg. So not too heavy ;)

BUT the processor is about 1,4 GHz, so if you want some more power, go on and buy the 13'' or 11'' Macbook Pro. I see no reason why you should have 2 computers with a different OS. So go for the MacBook and throw your Samsung out of the window.. ;)

  • Now this is a useful review.

  • Very interesting, thanks!

  • PC: Whats up mac

MAC: Nothing just finding a game to play how about you?

    PC: Im playing games.

    MAC: Cool Which Ones?

    PC: All of them.

  • @xdanielpowellmusic Ever heard of a thing called Steam?

  • @TidalClouds no. :)

  • Is there a way to move the X button thingy to the right?

  • I want an iMac now.

  • @INCGerardo97 no need to swear. It's very adjunct and ignorant.

  • @vegakevin05 no need to be ignorant about it. Yet you are correct.

  • LOL 4.5 lbs is a little heavy

  • LoL she said both have very good gaming cards... Serusly intel 3000 is bull!

  • @SkullyScream there not selling macbooks any more...

  • These arent the 2011 versions...FAIL

  • holy crap. ever heard of a tripod?

  • Was planning on buying an macbook pro till I saw their pricing for a 15-inch. Unbelievably high, considering its specs. If you're looking for a portable apple device, either get an ipad or macbook air. If you're planning on doing more, than get an imac.

  • love this video!

  • Fuck the weight bro

  • All up in yo face!!!!!*

  • i know but i kive macs :D

  • what is best for gaming AMD Radeon HD 6970M or AMD Radeon HD 6770?

  • @justibisnotfag obviously the 6970 but dont buy a mac for gaming i have a custom windows pc i use for gaming and a mac for everyday things, if u want gaming go for a custom u can get an i7 sandy bridge and top of the line pc parts for about 70% of what an mac would cost

  • @justibisnotfag macs aren't for gaming. don't waste your money

  • wtf a girl near does know as much tech as me? wow ...

  • @Esperanzafilms: if you want portability for taking in and out of college, go for the MacBook Air, not the pro or IMac.

  • What the fuck was all that noise going on in the background? Totally ruined your review!

  • I have an iPod touch, an iPhone and an iPad so now I will invest on an iMac

  • but, will it blend?

  • 4 and a half pounds mine is 8 pounds :(

  • my last lap top was around 14 to 10 pounds i think ill be ok

  • Can someone please give some advice?

I'm a student, and I'm wondering which to choose for school?

iMac has much larger screen, but I can't bring my iMac to class, and Macbook Pro has smaller screen but I can bring it to school. I really don't know which one to choose because they cost the same. Another question is, how is the editing (iMovie) on a Macbook?

Is it fast or laggy? Because I really enjoy filming and editing, therefore I want a relatively fast mac. Thanks in advance.

  • @ESPERANZAFILMS If you're a student. Get a Macbook Pro. They're great for education and stuff like that. (I own one myself) And iMovie is not laggy at all, so don't worry about it. ^^

  • @ESPERANZAFILMS Get the Macbook Pro. Also since you are using it for collages you will be able to get a discount.

  • @ESPERANZAFILMS i reccomend getting a laptop/mobile device because of being able to take it to class

  • @ESPERANZAFILMS and all colledge students get a laptop because of the portability for when u go home and class.

  • @ESPERANZAFILMS i don't know if you already bought it but if not i will say the macbook pro 13 inch, i have one and it is perfect for school, it is not laggy al all, it is also a good idea to use final cut pro for editing( if you can deal with the price of course)

  • @ESPERANZAFILMS With dedication, you CAN bring your iMac to class.

  • @ESPERANZAFILMS You should just get a macbook they are really good for editing and you could bring it around too :)

  • OMG NOT A GIRL!!!

  • I can't wait to a Macbook pro or a iMac, I'm going to get one of them with a Intel i7 processor and at least 8GB of ram and if I get the iMac I most likely will upgrade the ram to 16GB so I can edit HD video.

  • Already have the mbp, saving for an imac because I really want one but I dont want to give up the mbp!!!

  • All I Want for Christmas Is A Macbook Pro *Only 10 Years Old*.

  • i cant wait to get my i mac this christmas

  • I need some help to find where I should save my money: the iMac, the Mac mini or the MacBook Pro. You see, I would play games on it which means I would need a CD Drive to read games which i know the Mac mini doesn't have. I would need portability though that would be unnecessary if I can sell this XP I'm using that would clear desktop space. Just so you know I'm not an adult.

  • Is the Macbook Pro still worth buying even though I'm not going to edit videos and photos?

  • nice video but if you like the iMac Much more then macbook pro then why you got them both?

  • Currently i have a am toshiba laptop and going to sell it. im interested in editing and am going to purchase a mac at about christmas time. which mac should i get? i kind of need portability but i would like a decent sized screen... HELP?! also.. when does the new mac line come out because that would possibly change my decision and what new features will it have?

  • I'm debating on wether to purchase a MacBook pro or an iMac, so this video was extremely helpful!! Now I'm

    Leaning towards the iMac :]

  • @OfficialNSID Mee too. ;D

  • great review and very helpfull.

    1. Enrty level of an iMac much faster than top level of macbookpro

    2. macbookpro's much expensive than iMac's.

    3. nobody dont need that "portable & highend machines" if you need connect to the internet, listen to do music or check your mails on travel you can use ipod, ipad or your cell phone.

  • Omg im 11 and im getting a Mac this christmas so like witch one is better for kids.?

  • @fuzzysmile21 You're only 11 years old and you're getting a Mac? Well, there isn't a Mac for kids, but there are different models. You gotta know which type of computer you want: laptop or desktop.

  • @fuzzysmile21 Macbook pro 13, is a good size or screen.

It is very fast, and it will resist a lot, my first mac, the one i`m using now is an aluminum macbook, macbook pro was to expensive at that time jaja, and it can get scrachi and the back, but is really good!!

You can also get a macbook air, but is more expensive as entry model, and well, you need to be and be soround of delicate people.

Also, you can use the super drive unit for burn cd`s for the school and stuff like that,

    Gt a mbp! :)

  • @fuzzysmile21 ME TOO :)

But being 12 ISS URSOME!!!! >:)

  • @fuzzysmile21 depending on what you need it for i would suggest a macbook pro

there is barely a difference, except in gaming and very little in hd video editing, between it and the imac. plus its a little easier to upgrade. And i know you and i both want to go anywhere and use it unlike adults and using it in the office.

But take the mac mini into consideration. its the same speed and its 600 bucks cheaper

  • this is very helpful, thanks :)

  • but the the new imac has 1tb i think i saw that on the apple site

  • @YM4LIVE1 no its the 1499 dollar model

    the entry is 500 gb

  • very nice video it really helped me to decide

  • there the exact same shit to me just one is bigger but i pix the pro because i use it for school more

  • For powerful performance I should go for desktop....

for travelling purpose i would go for macbook air lol

  • you can actually get the magic trackpad for free when you buy the iMac.

  • the imac has 4 ram slots instead of 2 so you can add ram without sacrificing existing ram

  • does imac keyboard lightup

  • Awesome, I have the same Glass Desk

  • "If you are looking for portability, you are better off with the MBP" - "Actually at 4.5 lbs, its not great for portability" Are you as indecisive when you are choosing other stuff to buy? Also 4.5lbs isn't that heavy, and when we talk about portability we talk about how the computer would feel in, say, a laptop bag. You wouldn't carry it around all day by holding the corner like you did with the lid open.

  • +1 sub

  • I'd shag her.

  • the mbp has hyperthreading so its actually a quad core

the imac doesn't have hyperthreadinso they are about the same speed.

if you go to school you can the mbp for 100 bucks off

the imac is 50 bucks off

  • @appleguy1227 how? she justifies every single one of the downsides to the mbp...

  • who wants to buy my macbookpro lol

  • iMac design sux, iMac G5 has way better design.

  • i want a macbook pro because of its design but imac is better

  • Both Apples, both great. I have the 2010 iMac. Awesome machine

  • Hopefully I'll be getting an iMac and I'll be using my iPad for on the go travel.

  • It was good burly I didn't understand all your technical terms oh and as a tip stop saying "ok? Alright"

  • thumbs up if u think the woman reviewing this is hot

  • i bet this woman is hot

  • 500 gigs of memory?

  • which heats up more?

  • you cant compare, the imac has cuadcore, and the macbook dualcore, and allso

the imac has a hdd 7200rpm and the macbook has 5400rpm,so if you put that in

in the macbook it would be a difrent result, but for the same money the imac is

    faster and bigger,

    nice video by the way...

  • im buying both :)

  • What app do you use to calculate the performance of both macs?

  • @BlackyRoss Geekbench

  • I am getting both of these new computers. I can't chose which one to get first. Can you help me? Thanks

  • the laptop scored more than my desktop.. fail.

  • @xFl1p1nPr1D3x the laptop is the best 13 inch on the market in my opinion

  • my webcam on my new 27" imac wont work now, it says the Facetime HD camera is there on the system profiler but when i open applications to use it (Photobooth, Skype, iChat) it says there is no camera connected. if anyone can help or has had the same problem, please contact me. thank you

  • Comment removed

  • which is better imac or macbook pro

  • which is better imac or macbook pro and y

  • at least its 1080p

  • Great review! gonna save up for one of the 2 by the end of summer!

  • Lots of people today want portability and so comparison videos are very helpful but for people such as myself, it is nice to have a choice. At the end of the day it depends on your personal needs. If you want portability a macbook air is the best way to go but for more power on the go then a macbook pro is better. I think the imac is best for home and small office use. Nice video

  • Ideally, if you had the money, you'd get an iMac and a MacBook Air/Pro. The thing is, although the iMac may be a better all round machine, in today's world it's so handy to be able to take your computer with you, well it is for me anyway. Good video!

  • SHOW YOUR FACE!!!!!! And the trackpad Is free

  • @23joshman1 Hi, while that is true, you have the option to choose either the Magic Mouse or the Trackpad free with your iMac. An additional Trackpad would be $69. Sorry if we weren't clear.

  • why do u have...2 macs? lol

  • you have 2 macs woooooow

  • Awesome vid

  • Thank you very much for doing this video :) it was great. it really helped me a lot, it showed me total size comparison of the macbook pro and the imac, I have a 13.3" macbook and am getting the $1499 imac shortly. my 24" Asus monitor is huge and kinda makes the 21.5" imac look a little small, buuut, now that I know exactly how big the imac actually is compared to my macbook and 24" monitor I am even more excited to get my hands on my own iMac :D 5/5*!

  • With the 2011 iMacs you don't hv to pay extra for the trackpad. You can choose between the magic mouse and the trackpad as standard

  • @XxHardcorexxGamerxX magic mouse is better
