  • this makes me feel like dancing. if only i had legs.

  • That's a hell of a pair of glasses Elton is wearing. LMAO!

Elton will always be one of my top favorite artists.

  • RIP Andrew Gold. Hey Elton, wherever you are, cover Andrew's song.

  • Sounds a little like the "Rock of the Westies" period.

  • His piano playing always makes me wanna do the worm move. Haha!

  • how come we dont hear this song its awesome I'd like to see him play this in concert

  • My respect for Elton John doubled simply from those spectacles of his.

  • Totally tubular to the max!

    xoxo

    The Clarences

  • Got curious (worried!) at the title. Thank GOODNESS this wasn't a cover of the World's-worst-lyrics-of-all-time song by Andrew Gold. I might have had to sell my EJ collection :-)

  • This was 1982?its sounds like it was earlier-GREAT!!!!

  • I can't believe I've never heard this! This is such an awesome song!

Oh and btw I love the picture. He looks so cute!

  • This song practically resides on 45 speed on my turntable.

  • You get my thumbs up for liking this song, actually having a 45, and actually still having a tunrtable to play it on. Wonder how all my LPs are doing in storage? Tempting to take them out and hook up my old stereo, just for the experience.

  • Great song!

  • Obvious ode to LSD and the inspirational friendship with Lennon. I believe the lonely boy is Reggie himself. A weird semi-masterpiece who should be a blast in concerts. No one's ever as witty as Elton. This is a typical "catsong" of his.

  • I think this song was published on 1984. I believe it was the b-side of Passengers. Am I wrong?

  • This is so so so beautiful!!!!! Thanks for sharing!

  • Maravilhoso!!!!

    Wonderfully!!!

  • Thought this would be an Andrew Gold cover. Turns out its standard Elton John fare.

  • I also thought it was going to be a Andrew Gold cover.

  • Me too!!

  • LOL. Wonder how many others?

  • @kirbygene I DID TOO XD

  • @trap0001 R.I.P. Andrew Gold.

  • OK trying hard not to laugh... MfHAHAHAHA XD Those glasses, wtf :P

  • Yeah, they are awesome...like all :D

  • no kidding the glasses. EJ can wear/do stuff no else could carry off

  • never heard this one before.love it.ty for posting it

  • This is Classic lost Elton!Only heard for the first time today!Reminds me of take me to the pilot!

  • I Love Ball and Chain. This song should have replaced Spiteful Child. I never cared for that one.

  • Spiteful Child is a great song!

  • Come on people this is rubbish even in the sad early eighties.

  • nice song! it shows an other side of his voice.

  • P.S this song kinda reminds me a little bit of "Get It While You Can" by 10cc.

  • What's wrong with Ball And Chain and I'm Your Robot? hey it was the early 1980's There great tracks. But this song could have been on the Jump Up Lp. I think Jump Up should have been a Double Lp but Records companies hate Double Lp's.

  • thank you, an old German EJ fan that has never heard these songs before.

  • Hey this is cool and funky! Should have been on Honky Chateau!! I don't think I ever heard it-- stopped listening to Elton after his work went downhill after Yellow Brick Road, but it seems there ARE still gems that came afterward.

  • nice! have not heard it since 1985 or so! thanks!!

  • grandeeee!!!

  • this is far better than ball and chain or robot, should've been on jump up.

  • 'Ball And Chain' is in my top five Elton songs of all time. 'Robot', however....that could be one of his worst. Total '80s synth cheese.

  • "I Am Your Robot" might not be a classic but at least it was something different. Now we get way too many ballads but at least in the 80s he was still doing a variety of different types of songs. Robot is a fun song--no worse than Crocodile Rock as far as I'm concerned.

  • But, you gotta admit. Robot is a classic example of a rock star gone wrong!

  • i wish this ws goin on in my high scholl days lol lol :|

  • Great song! Would've sound great on the Jump Up Album!

  • gosh bringe me back to high school during the "jump up" days keep these B sides coming, two thumbs up.

  • again extra song, Why?!

  • Incredible!

  • It's been a definite treat stumbling across your page. Hearing all these Elton singles/demos/lives I've never heard before is wonderful. Thanks for sharing!

    :)

  • 9/10 ! brillant
