I have literally come up with an undisputable solution to loud kittens/fat cats; Simply get a digital recorder. Every time the cat rants, record it and play it back to the cat a.s.a.p. As soon as my cat realized I could capture his audio, he stopped carrying on.

something like that happened to a friend's cat his eyes would bleed everytime he blinked and it continued for days and one night he went to sleep outside and they thought he was gonna die and the next morning he was perfectly healthy(miracle maybe?)

Yes, they are... it is actually the way they're built, though (not so much flab, but a lot of bulk). This time last year though, Q was ill with some mysterious thing (vet didn't know either) that made him skinny; you could see his spine sticking up... we weren't sure if he was going to make it, and suddenly the thing cleared itself up and he's been healthy ever since. :)

Oh yeah! Watch, or better yet, pet him. He will eat by himself if all else fails, but first he meows his head off trying to get someone's attention. Sometimes it's so annoying I'll actually end up flinging water at him! Now he'll meow and meow and I'll head for the sink, start running the water... he knows what's coming and runs off! Little booger knows what he's doing!

UPDATE: We figured out why he does this! When we adopted him as a kitten, his report said he had been a "fading kitty"; he had to be force-fed or he wouldn't eat. That much we knew already. But when we started thinking about it, we pictured some loving folks around him, petting him, maybe even holding him, coaxing him to eat.

What he REALLY wants is for us to PET him WHILE he eats, because that's what he was used to as a baby. We tried that and ohhhh, purr city!! What a spoiled cat!
