I know this video is old as fuck but man you have a really great style, I've watched this video like 10 times today. It's just great man you should really make more of these things. I'm just starting out on piano and this vid is some great inspiration for me, thanks for making it!
great playing! sad that casio don´t made Lighting key´s piano any more! Why Why? casio PL-40R celviano AL-100 celiviano AL-150 was great instrument and give people a god help to learn to play. please casio, let LK-270 get 88 key! lighting key and program that show finger settings is great! now only Yamaha CVP-serie have lighting LED above the key. as guide lamps controled also from downloaded midifile. look at my channel how a beginner can learn fast with lighting key!

Heya Dude...I play piano, also, but I don't do with it what you do! You crucify it! PLEASE don't put any more of your chords on my site...thanks. I play music, not just little chords. Guitar, accordion, etc...but my style is completely different than yours!
The idea is good , but , please make an other video with slower tempo . The goal is more to teach what you play rather that let the others admire tou .
One you master the basics, deviating from the conventional fingering is not unusual, and you would still rarely go wrong. I mean, I can play a lot of fast pieces using very unusual fingering and I don't play a single wrong note.
Before I forget, a friendly note to beginners, use 1 3 5 fingering instead of his 1 2 3 for the right hand part.
Otherwise, this was a good tutorial. (P.s. how do you make the camera hang up there???)
there are subliminal messages in that and i not shore im gesing i don't have the soft were but i think the noise at the beging is a voice backwards saying something look out for videos like that i find them all the time on youtube
quite helpful for making songs more interesting with both hands, i do backing keyboard in a band, i often use the country western style method already.thanks posh guy!
Techniques you learn now will allow you to write whatever you feel later. Once you've learned properly, then you can start to deviate and develop your on styles. Until then, consider proper finger positions one of the most important aspect of learning the piano.
finger economics are VERY important. Especially for someone just starting out. You need to develop positive playing habits now... otherwise you're setting yourself up for failure. Music is ultimately about self expression... and When you are ABLE to play anything you want, then and only then will you be able to express yourself properly, because you aren't held back by physical ability.
I am very sorry to say so, but it's not important how you place your fingers, becouse its more important that you are able to play the instument.
People that are playing with fingerplacement are to my opinion to methodic players, but you have to let go of al those rules and make it yourself easy to play!
an incorrect fingering might work for the basics like this but without proper technique you a severely limiting yourself in the future when you may wish to play more difficult pieces/styles
your profile says that you come from france but you sound very english to me (or at least you speak with as good an english accent as i have lol) :D good advice given
you have inspired me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i HAVE TRIED TO PLAY THE PIANO WITH TWO HANDS BUT IT DIDENT WORK but i know it just takes practice well i am going to memorize what you are doing right now!!
a very good video. actually i've been looking ways to play these kinds of chords. I wish to find some sheet music, but unfortunately, i can't find any until now.....i want to play some rag time, or jazz (like what you did just now) for fun, wonder if you've got some sheet music for that? thanks!!!!

I too agree. Poor technique... he should fix that before it cause some physical damage. The bending in the wrist will lead to problems.

Will people just stop harpin' on his fingering??

This guy is way cool.
kzwiener 4 years ago
he's not trying to teach fingering. he's demonstrating different voicings and rythms of chords... which he does very nicely.
baronbaldricII 4 years ago
His way of playing is just as valid as any other. Talk of "bad fingering" is rubbish.
FrenchTVUK 4 years ago
Warning to beginners: do not take advice from this man. He's not qualified to teach you. Bad fingering etc. has been noted earlier.

Bad finger positions in the right hand. Triads should be done with thumb, middle, and pinky. It does matter which finger goes where.
