  • Hi i have a female and male budgie but they wont stop fighting. when i talk to my female bird my male snuggles me and kicks her and when i hold her he jumps out of the cage and bite and hurts her i think he gets jealous what do u think??

  • after a half year of looking for a lovebird im getting one soon

  • you look just like mine

  • YEH u really need to get a life

    1. get a boyfrriend

    2. have babies

    3. go out door

    4. kill the birds

    5. DIE

  • @jasstick is tht ur life plan? its perfect for u!!

  • I miss all my lovebirds...now I just have Aliza

  • I've seen that color on almost every lovebird i see... Even mine has that color.

  • @Dinoboy95 They are peach faced love birds.

  • yes. dont rush things. let them settle. take your time to tame them. put your hand in the cage and leave it there for about 10 minutes without moving it and just talk to them so they know your not a threat. take your time....

  • hey i inharritated two love birds and thay freak out when u do anything like when u stick ur hand in thair cage to let them perch on ur hand thay r just not social and r terrified of every think do u have any advice on how to get them to like me?

  • well it depends..cuase since mine has laid egss even my frendly one doesnt like me coming in their cage he bites me hard which RARELy happens, but i understand its just a way of protecting the egss as a parent..u ntill they hatch :)

  • @marchcrap never ever put your hand in its cage!!! trust me dont do that let the bird come out on its own, birds dont like you getting into their territory. talk to it in a quiet place in a calm voice... let the bird get to know you.... and is the bird hand fed?? and also is it a male or a female, if your a male get a female bird nd if your a female get a male bird. birds get along when their human companion is a different sex. and also hand fed ones are a lot tamer then ones in petstores. :)

  • @dragonfliesftw555 Your advice would be better if it were true. The birds sex doesn't matter one bit to how it deals with its owner, and there is nothing wrong with putting your hand in its cage AS LONG as it trusts you. I do agree that you shouldn't put your hand in with an upset bird.

  • @TheMuffinBurgler hello do some research please i have had pet birds tame or not and know how to train them please dont be talking because you dont know nothing bout birds. they respect you and expect you to respect there territory you let the bird come out of its cage on its own thats how you form a bond wit your bird by RESPECTING!!!!!! THE SEX SOME TIMES MATTERS IN SOME CASES OF BIRDS, please dont give me lessons on somthing i know and have been doing all my life, kk thx!

  • they're lovebirds! haha obviusly you dont know your birds! hahah cute LOVEBIRDS by the way! xoxo

  • u know u failed the most, huh?

  • wait i thought evee was a girl rite???

  • sweet

  • I am sorry, but you are misinformed. They are mutations of Peach-faced Lovebirds. BeBe is a Dutch Blue pied Peach-face while Evee is a Dutch Blue Peach-faced Lovebird. You will notice that Pacific Parrotlets or Green-rumped Parrotlets look nothing like our guys.

  • those are lovebirds bud.

  • Hiiii omg there so cute =] these videos have helped mi alot...i was thinkin about adopting a lovebird baby...but now IM 100% SURE!!!!

  • We have two very spoiled budgies.

  • wierd question but how would a lovebird react to a tornado ...would it faint?

  • A responsible bird owner would never let their bird know that the tornado is coming. They would get them to safety in a calm manner.

    ~Rodney

  • When the bird chased the other, was that playing around? Or self-defense, or what?

  • BeBe was telling Evee I am dominant over you and don't get near me.

  • Where can I get some more information about Lovebirds,, Im really interested in getting another bird. but Idk what kind of Lovebird!

  • trueloveaviarydotblogspotdotcom Peach-faced Love Birds tend to be less high strung than the eye ring and rare species.

    ~Rodney

  • thanks so much! and yeah =] I want a very chill lovebird, ive had three paroletts before, how much different are they from lovebirds?? cause they were a hand full of attitude! haha

  • We used to think so, but Evee is a boy.

  • Careful when they duck their heads and peck at another bird. My bird Susie used to attack Missy (a much younger lovebird who wasn't tame) that same way, and then after a few months, Missy started pecking back! Then Susie was scared of Missy, and they stopped "chasing" each other... But now Missy pecks at fingers :( She steps-up now (if you don't point your finger at her) but she wasn't all that tame, and escaped last summer when she was on the porch and pushed-out her food tray.

  • What do we have to be careful about? I am confused? They are both very, very tame.

  • Missy was not tame when we purchased her. Due to getting bullied when she was younger, she had to have an operation on her foot, which gave her a fear of fingers. When Susie chased and pecked her, this gave Missy the idea to start chasing and pecking fingers (especially when she was in heat). So it took many finger-bites before Missy could step-up. Ironically, Susie was defending his "people" from Missy, which ended-up with us getting pecked :)

  • They can be so evil when they want to be! lol Too cute!

  • haha they sure can!

  • lol my birds gone crazy to this video actully only one lovenbird name sonic my other one called zelda died of eggs i miss her so mutch she was green and so funny

  • My lovebird was picking at my keyboard so I turned on this video and began whistling to your birds. Very cute video.

  • same here

  • actually they are brothers....

  • Do you only have two? Are they both tame with you? Like sitting on your finger, shoulder, etc...

Ive heard if you have two its a lot harder to keep them tame, but if you only have one it bonds with you and becomes tame a lot easier...

  • That is a myth. We have 9 birds and all have their levels of sweetness. While I am typing this response, I have 3 of my "breeders" on me playing. You can have pairs that are really sweet and tame, it just takes more work. Just ask our guys.

    ~Rodney

  • Also the two you see in our video are housed separately.

  • Lovely little parrot...

I just posted a video response, not lovebird but still very cute.

  • What "breed" is these lovebird?

    It's not mask, not peach.

  • They are Peach-Faces.

  • I have this breed of birds, I think.

Well, the close to tail part of your birds is similar to mind. Mine don't have any red color cover the head part, he has a little bit of red on the tip of his head. And his cheek is like a little fade black.

  • Maybe you have a Fischers or Black Cheek then. I haven't seen any PFs with black on their face.

  • You shouldn't laugh when they fight and encourage it. You should startle them to get them to stop. Lovebirds have been known to bite off toes and rip beaks off.

I smack the floor or clap my hands and say, "NO FIGHTING." and they stop.

  • Don't worry. This is friendly banter. We know our birds and we wouldn't have let them interact if we were worried that they would hurt each other.

  • I know i have been posting alot of comments but everytime i watch a video of yours i think of a question to ask.

How do you how to socialize lovebirds?

  • I am assuming you are asking how we know how to... we tried different ways after asking questions and also through past experiences, we have seen what works best!

  • No, it is not. It all about how you raise them.

    ~Rodney

  • i breed lovies and they r so adorable!!!!!!!! lovebirds to me are better than dogs!
