In the japanese version of Canvas Curse, the reason she has her power is because she made a pact with Zero. When she couldn't get the job done and kill Kirby at the end, she died, and Zero posessed her. That's how Drawcia became Drawcia Soul.

Neither did any of Kirby's other friends from that game, except Adeleine/Ado. The other friends' "appearances" were part of either Stone - Cutter in 64 or Stone in Return to Dream Land, as cameos. Gooey was already Dark Matter to begin with, it IS possible he got absorbed by Zero after the events of DL3.

The reason none of these characters appeared again might be because of the fact that they were made by a different guy at HAL. I dunno. It's all just speculation.

i've started to think about kirby, and although he does fight off viscous villians, reading in between the lines gives kirby as much of a bad name as its adversaries. Think about it- he swallows enemies whole, his appearance is deceptive, and as Vidiot97 and others have mentioned, kirby destroys the tortured souls of the enemies he kills. Theres got to be at least a couple of deadly sins represented by kirby...

Because many fans of the series (Like me) started with Kirby 64: TCS and loved it, so we put all our time into completing it 100% just to fight Zero-Two, and when we finally got there, we got a lifetime trauma. They come up with Zero-Two because they can't get that bloody and traumatic image out of their heads.

So far what i've noticed in kirby games with most final bosses, is that kirby kills the boss, then kills it's soul. Prime examples: Dracia soul, Marx soul, even zero two if you think about it. First kirby kills zero in kirby's dreamland 3, and then kills it as zero two in kirby 64, you can kinda think of it as killing it's soul. (Note the angel-like appearance: wings/ halo) I'm starting to think that kirby isn't exactly the cute and cuddley game we always thought it was. Thumbs up if you agree.

One can say that it is simply to show realism, such as Majora's Mask and dare i mention Giygas, both ment to show that reality wont hide its gruesome facts, its true form of reality. In that form, these games (i think its nintendo mainly) are more child friendly than other companies simply because it teaches kids more than others blatently teaching kids...but you take what you want from it.

Sometimes they seem to match up a little too much...
