  • hahahaha...

  • wow i could've taken better photos with jst a ttl flash. shit lighting, failed hard

  • Wow, this really is shitty! Hahaha "Lightening bolt"

  • These photos look over exposed. There to bright.

  • I have to agree with the others: the lighting of the car is pretty bland and boring.

And on the white balance: no mater what you call it, the flash-WB was the wrong one to use (that setting is mainly for on-camera flash, speed lights etc, not for studio lighting [which have another col.temp.]).

You have a warm/yellowish tint that doesn't feel right (and it doesn't fit with the color of the car).

Shoot in (especially in studio) in RAW and do the wb and other color correction in post production.

  • Good attempt :-) try to keep it up... regards.

  • Niiiiiice model. Thanks for trhe tips.

  • @LIQUIDSTEELTV lovely renee....

  • Sorry but I think the lighting is extremely flat, you could have achieved the same with just the silks to cut the reflections and saved around $10,000 on your profotos

  • "and our white balance is set to lightening bolt"

the lightning bolt is the flash setting. dear oh deary me...

  • I ate a solar flare and shat out a rainbow style photocrappy.

  • you're perhaps the worst photographer I've seen on youtube ever dare to embarrass yourself for lacking vision, style, technique, taste, passion and basic human emotion.

for all the energy and money wasted on lighting, you could have dragged the shutter and let ambient do the same job, and rear sync flash to freeze the model.

result in more even lighting, shorter time and cheaper, you flipping idiot.

btw, my cat has more personality than you.

  • @magutosh

    - Studio strobes that are triggered by dummy triggers do not offer a rear curtain sync.

    - Only Hot shoe based flashes offer a rear curtain sync

    - In addition, if you used a hot shoe based flash, you would see the reflection of

    the flash on the car.

  • what is renee laughing about at the end???

    it's right after his good/evil line haha : 5:31

  • Uneven lighting on background looks meh

  • Smart, those huge silk screens. Great video how to photograph big shiny things.

  • Renee rocks my world

  • Good explanations of a very unattractive bland shot.

Car might as well have been a garbage can without any tension and shadow/highlight play to accentuate it.

Renee is a keeper though =)

  • Cool setup, thanks!

  • Good tips, though the lighting is not quite even and the colors look very flat, is it the video that makes'em look like that?

  • Very evenly lit, but I expect it would be with a dozen of those flash heads surrounding from every angle, but eliminating ALL the reflections isn't always desirable on car photography.

There's really nothing there to show off the car's curves.

  • is it also a tip to wear socks while on the shooting area? another great vid!!

  • not so good outcome...

  • great studio and well puttogether video.

    thanks for sharing
