I heard that the Hall of Supreme Harmony of the forbidden city was burn down 7 times due to lightning. So why don't they just build them using brick and stone?
China was great, creative and sharing. But now its sad that the people inside are suffering under the CCP brutal totalitarian regime and even deprived from the basic human rights. Citizens are subjected to be locked in prison for simple freedom of expression and people have to live under constant fear. Shame of Communist Party
When I was a teen,I had a teacher who speculated about certain humans(females) being impregnated by extraterrestrial beings....lol. The idea he conveyed to us was that orientals with such craniums were not entirely human...that was kind of a cruel staement. But never mind their ugly aesthetical characteristics....U won't really know their silly character until u interact with all those orientals. RUDENESS,ARROGANCE,EXTREME IMPULSIVENESS,AND THE WORST OF ALL: LACK OF COMMON SENSE!!!
because they didnt use any nails for those buildings, the buildings is more stronger against earth quake, because it does not have the nails to keep them all so tight together, the wood pieces that connect the parts of the building together will just move back and forth without causing a calapse when theirs a earthquake
visually stunning because the roof looks so much more heavier than the number of columns they used could support but it makes the structure so heavenly and mystical
thats not a good reason tbh as other countries by the same logic would not be so polluted if it wasn't for the fear that china would destroy them at the very first chance. but to be frank china has very little to fear from my country...
I don't think they are hated. They are just in transition. When they are not Communist and support a free people, they will do amazing things but there are painful things that they must face in their past. They cripple themselves by banning self examination and "non-approved" beliefs/opinions.
I'm very mad at this video. It makes it seem as if the hall at Dule Monastery built in 984 is the oldest known surviving wooden building standing in China, when this is clearly not the case, and hasn't been since Liang Sicheng discovered Tang Dynasty era halls at Mount Wutai. Wooden architecture obviously existed before this (look at the Zhou Dynasty roof tiles excavated in the video), but these are the oldest surviving, not the hall at Dule.
I am taking a Ancient World History class and I have decided to do my project on Ancient Chinese Architecture as I am very interested in the building structures.
Video was very informative and will be used as a source on my project, thanks!
obiously chinese culture is unique and great but by the same time they are surpasssing its one of source of its multiculture. for ex pagoda art in china is introduced by Nepali artist. during those years nepali architect arniko (balbahu) with thousands of assistants setteled in china spreading nepalese art and culture. buddhist culture and religion in china is also intoduced by Nepalese. however, nepali arts is treated as a part of indian culture wchich is infact different and unique in itself
Ancient Chinese Architecture is just grand. I want a house that looks modern on the inside while looking like an ancient Chinese building on the outside:).
WOW!Amazing architecture! America has been influenced by western architecture for so long. If we can recognize and study these priceless eastern architecture, we can create a style that unify both worlds.
Thank you NTDTV ! Very Interesting!! I wish you will have more program about Ancient Chinese Architecture , Because they are so rich! So many to show..

Don't u people know that the Beijing Forbidden City was built by the Vietnamese architect.
Sometime things that existed in China that doesn't meant they were invented by the Chinese, especially by the Han Chinese.!!!

Rudeness, arrogance, extreme impulsiveness, and worst of all: lack of common sense.
Hmmm, you might want to reread your comment.

ahhhhh too bad that china has been taken over by comunism, polluted to heck, and has become hated by the rest of the world.

still,it is better than bing an USA or EU extension...
or should I say..."too bad that USA has grown soo much and thinks it is the leader of the world and can destroy any other culture"
china would not have to be all polluted and stuff if other big countries were not to crush them at the very first chance
