This kid is 10X's the singer Susan Boyle is, and probably than most of the people on American Idol. Absolutely amazing. If he doesn't win, I'm protesting.
He sings just like all the singers do on American idol. A lot of noise. they all sound the same. All the songs sound the same. They could sing Jingle Bells and it woulld suond the same. I guess they dont know how to make a song sound the way it is supposd to sound.

He's adorable and has a good voice. I don't think he's anywhere in the same category with Susan Boyle, but then again - she is UNIQUE. It's wonderful kids that age are so into their dream. The older you get, the harder it is to hold on to that dream. Hang in their kid, you have plenty of time.
My respect for Simon has increased tremendously since both this and the Susan Boyle audition. He is a music producer and he knows talent when he sees it. Notice that he stood up and clapped for Shaheen but not for Susan; why? Don't know really, but probably Susan presents a harder person to market to a music-buying public that likes youth and beauty as well as ability. Shaheen is young and will attract the young Miley Cyrus-Hannah Montana kids.
The auditions are pre-recorded not live so they were recorded in jan/feb sometime (not sure exact month). I think all the singing contestants are asked to prepare 2 songs just incase anything happens..pretty sure thats what happens anyways. I dont think it was rigged either but they do obviously pick and choose who they put on the television and the fact that Simon made him change to his other song made good television so thats probably why they showed it.

I think what happened here was that Simon might have heard a clip of his good song at some point and wanted him to be a featured auditioner. Someone else probably influenced the choice for a different song to be sung, and Simon was a bit angry and intervened. I don't think it was "rigged" really - but I think that Simon might have wanted this kid to have a bigger shot with a better song. - my opinion.
No comparison to Susan Boyle. The kids voice lacks depth. It sounds strained. He'll get older and his voice will change. Cute but let's see him in 20 years. Susan Boyle is still number one!!! Go Susan!!!

I am a huge Michael Jackson fan no matter what anyone says I will support him to the grave. Upon hearing Shaheen sing a rendition of "Whose lovin' you" which Michael originally sanging in 1969 with the Jackson 5 was unbelivable, like Amanda Holden it gave me goosebumps and brought me to tears. I wish this little guy all the best for the competition and his future at only 12 yrs old he has everything it takes to make it to the big time.
He is very good, he is exceptional, but he is no Susan Boyle, that and he has his whole life ahead of him to make a difference. It is now Susan's time to shine and nothing will take away from that - 1,198 views compared to 28 million- says it all. I think the book has been written. We will see you later Mr. Jafargholi.

He's pretty humble... I mean- he's not arrogant! Although you know he's singing for him and his mum. Something about Susan- although she is fantastic ,just feels off. I've listened to Shaheen literally 5 times and I listened to Susan twice. A good performance makes me want to listen again; a great one makes me want to listen to it again and again.
He's young, but this is everything that annoys me about pop music today....runs up and down the scale "just because", high and shrill delivery. Maybe when he matures, that talent will ripen into real singing.
Yup - I call it "twarbling" - it's Mariah Carey stuff - show off your vocal ability just because you can do it - not easy to listen to, though. If he can rein that in, he could be good.
If you had actually bothered to listen to the original song before running your 'kids today' tirade you would know that the cadences he uses are very similar to michael jacksons delivery. funnily enough he was about the same age when he sang it. There actually is no other way to sing the song (at least as far as I've heard)

not really.. He'd EASY get a record deal. If Susan walked in to get a record deal WITHOUT singing before this , you think she would have? both good , but well Simon will sign em both up .. after all he is a "business man" ... funny though I thought it was about music.... not money

Cute kid, nice voice. He has his whole world ahead of him but its not the story like Susan's. Susan Boyle is more than a voice its a life redeemed, someone who the whole WORLD would think was written off. A talented child is cute, Susan is a miracle in this shallow world.

Incredible voice. My heart sank when Simon stopped the performance but what a come back!!! He definitely has the talent to get to the finals. Susan Boyle may have captured the hearts of the world but she's going to have competition.

This was totally a set up!
When i was watching it my mum and dad were like
"OMG what adifference!"
But I never believed it for a sec, totally different voice, it was obviously a set up to make that an actually decent episode, cos without *that* performance, every other thing they showed sucked....
+ Sinon looked so chufted with himself, obv a set up, so obv he will win the show! -.-

I am a huge Michael Jackson fan no matter what anyone says I will support him to the grave. Upon hearing Shaheen sing a rendition of "Whose lovin' you" which Michael originally sanging in 1969 with the Jackson 5 was unbelivable, like Amanda Holden it gave me goosebumps and brought me to tears. I wish this little guy all the best for the competition and his future at only 12 yrs old he has everything it takes to make it to the big time.
I also wish Susan the very best of luck.

He is very good, he is exceptional, but he is no Susan Boyle, that and he has his whole life ahead of him to make a difference. It is now Susan's time to shine and nothing will take away from that - 1,198 views compared to 28 million- says it all. I think the book has been written. We will see you later Mr. Jafargholi.

not quite. Susan Boyle is a sweet middle-aged lady who had a simple dream and got much more than she expected. I don't know if this little boy is nearly as humble. He's still cute, though. ^_^

He's pretty humble... I mean- he's not arrogant! Although you know he's singing for him and his mum. Something about Susan- although she is fantastic ,just feels off. I've listened to Shaheen literally 5 times and I listened to Susan twice. A good performance makes me want to listen again; a great one makes me want to listen to it again and again.

He's young, but this is everything that annoys me about pop music today....runs up and down the scale "just because", high and shrill delivery. Maybe when he matures, that talent will ripen into real singing.

Yup - I call it "twarbling" - it's Mariah Carey stuff - show off your vocal ability just because you can do it - not easy to listen to, though. If he can rein that in, he could be good.

If you had actually bothered to listen to the original song before running your 'kids today' tirade you would know that the cadences he uses are very similar to michael jacksons delivery. funnily enough he was about the same age when he sang it. There actually is no other way to sing the song (at least as far as I've heard)
