  • Does anyone know the aria playing at the end of this part?

  • @hedonisticr3publik He was actually a Film Teacher in NYU for a while. Among his students were: SPIKE LEE AND OLIVER STONE! (In fact, Oliver Stone claims that he was a huge inspiration for the Character of "Travis Bickle") From IMDB: "Oliver Stone believes he was one of the models for Travis Bickle, pointing out that he was being taught by Scorsese at NYU film school at the time, and like Travis he was a Vietnam veteran turned N.Y.C. cabdriver and wore his olive drab army coat while on duty."

  • i love scorsese and this was an awesome interview

  • he should just suck martys dick, then he wouldn't be speaking and everyone one would be happy

  • is that willem difo

  • @WillOfficial94 As Jesus, yeah.

  • the interviewer sucks

  • I like how they tried to shoot this "scorsese style" without being pretentious

it was a very good interview

and the guy's accent didn't piss me off because his questions and comments were all good.

    respect all around!

  • As a Catholic, as a Filmmaker, and as a human being, I love Martin Scorsese unapologetically.

  • This was wonderful. Thanks for sharing it!

  • thanks for uploading i'm really enjoying the hell out of this

  • Thank you!

  • Merci. But did you notice the interviewer did not ask a single question about Scorses use of music. That's one big difference between Scorsese and Kubrick.

Kubrick's use of music. Can't say the same of Scorsese.

  • this Mark Cousins guy is annoying....

  • One of the great directors of all time.

  • i love that film (last temptation of christ) it's great.

  • lol at Cousins: "there was a lot more improvisation in the last temptation of christ". Scorsese: "Well there was no improvisation in that film"

  • @danielspital

You quoted, you used quotations, and that's not actually what they said. Cousins said that he felt it had an improvisational *style*, which it does, apparently because they didn't have enough money, they had to shoot fast and they were on a tight schedule. That doesn't make him wrong, in fact he's right, it does feel that way. In the same way that you did, Scorsese simply assumed it was literal, he may have been surprised that there was no improvisation, but that's about all.

  • @futurestoryteller I didn't write that stuff. My sister was on my account lawl

  • @danielspital You know, what's even funnier is how often that happens.

  • @futurestoryteller Yer my sisters always start arguments on here and then I have to explain that I don't care

  • "We were put on this Earth to suffer. Once you know that it's not that bad." I agree with him on that!.

  • Scorsese is always great to hear, but Cousins is a terrible embarrassment, as always.

  • That was a wonderful and helpful series. Thanks you for posting it!

  • thank you, this intreview gave a bunch of good directing tips and i thought it was funny how marty says whores, crack addicts and pimps with a straight face at 5:56-then pause it at 6:01 LMFAO!

  • "Kundun", ranks to be nothing short of a brilliant film and ranks to be undeniably of of Martin Scorsese's most visually optimistic films; the imagery is so beautifully shot.

  • Ha i like the "its been absolutely lovely talking to you" after the depressing outlook on life

  • very interesting interview. thanks!

  • thanks a bunch

  • thanks for putting this up

  • thanks

  • thanks very much, interesting interview :)

  • thanks.
