  • Sick gun. I just sold my

Kimber. I'm planning on buying a colt rail gun and sending to nighthawk. How much did it cost?

  • A lot, more then the gun itself. Around $1,300.00 which doesn't include the cerakote I sprayed.

  • Which EGW bushing and plug specifically did you purchse for your operator? I'm looking at getting my barrel crowned too and I love your set up.... Right now I just have the standard plug and bushing :( Thanks for any help.

  • It was The GI bushing, and the long nose for thick flange plug.

  • I have to keep up with your videos. Awesome! Thanks!

  • For sure.

  • I want to have the frame of my MC Operator done in black to match the slide. I think it would look great in all black.

  • Yea, it would look just like the LW operator.

  • @SinCityReview no no no I'm talking about first obtaining the paint!

  • They didn't ask me my age, I've had an account for a while.

  • @SinCityReview ... I was hoping it didn't come to this.. So I have to set up an account purchase a certain amount for a feasible price and how old do you have to be to do this?

  • To do what? Spray cerakote?

  • Sorry I mint to say how much did they charge for the mag well and checkering.

  • Question...... who did the checkering and the mag well, frecking sweet!

  • nighthawk custom.

  • @SinCityReview whhyyy!!!!????? So could I do the same thing? Do you just use Cerakote? Can I buy the colors from Brownells?

  • Yes you can, I buy my colors directly from NIC Industries. They make cerakote.

  • Where are you getting this color!!??? I can't find it anywhere??

  • You wont. It's my color that I custom blend.

  • Wanna sell it :)

    Great looking gun man

    Peace, ACe77man

  • I don't necessarily want to, but for the right price it's yours.

  • @SinCityReview can you direct me to a way of sending you an email?

    Peace, Ace77man

  • Man that pistol is somethin else. Nice job on the custom work.

  • Thanks bro...

  • @545Krinkify Why is it that I've looked at 5 different videos about different guns and makers and everyone of them has you starting some shit in the comments. STFU. Nobody cares what you think, troll.

  • You wouldn't happen to still have the Pachmayr grips it came with do you? If so, would you be willing to sell them? The guy I bought my MC from changed the grips and I hate them.

  • yes, i still have them.

  • How much have you invested for all of this work?

  • With the price of the pistol and the work, $2,600.00 That's why I started gun smithing for myself.

  • This is one of the most beautiful operator I've ever seen......

  • Glad you like it.

  • @545Krinkify YOU are what is wrong with youtube! Your 33 mean nothing to thiose of us who train to make the first round count. Now turn off the lights before your parents realize that you are up this late!

  • Stop trolling my vids acting like a douchebag, do something constructive like making a video of your own. I'm not bagging on H&K, Sig, or Glocks in my videos. I'm just reviewing guns that I smith, which just so happen to be a lot of 1911's. It seems a lot more people then just me love them. Don't be a troll....

  • beautiful

  • thank you.

  • What you can do is coat the face only and leave the connecting points stinles. That's what I do sometimes.

  • Thanks for the great video, its given me a lot of great ideas for my project build. The only question i have is about the magwell. Was it designed to be recessed like that or is that just extra custom work you chose to have done? I absolutly love that feature of the gun. Magwells are so nice but look REALLY out of place normally.

  • @AdrenalineTheory Turns out the magwell question was kinda pointless as a quick search revealed the answer. lol

  • Yea it's the Heinie custom magwell that nighthawk does. I love it. You should get one.

  • Couple things, and I mean this constructively. First off, your Cerakote is looking good and you're custom mixing your own colors... right on.

A couple questions, comments and suggestions, and again, these are to help YOU do a better job, not to knock any of your work. First off, the crown that you polished... how did you polish it? Understand that the most accurate barrel in the world won't shoot worth a dang with a botched crown job. Next, you've got a $1600 gun and a $0.50 rear site. :)

  • The slide is already cut for a Novak Lo-Mount, and they are hard to beat for a combat gun.

Have you ever thought about taking some classes on building 1911's? They're a great platform, but not to be worked on by the faint of heart.

Also, +1000 for sending it to the boys at NHC vs Wilson. JMO. :)

  • Yea, I'm changing the site today. It's actually a $0.50 on a $2,400.00 gun. The barrel came from nighthawk polished. Thanks for the comments, I love the feedback.

  • Thank you for the posting and the mention.

    Cerakote Firearm Coatings.

  • Well I left you a somewhat negative comment last time I saw this gun, now that you got it back I must say that it looks absolutely amazing! I love the finish on the gun as well and overall the mods are very well done! The operator 1911 has always been one of my fav. 1911's and this is one of the best i've ever seen!

  • Thanks, I'm glad you liked the end result. It took a long time to get it finished, but was worth the wait. I might change back the rear sight, but that's about it.

  • @SinCityReview Exactly how long did Nighthawk custom have the gun? I agree about the rear sight, I have always hated those plain, blank rear sights... I know they have their uses and many people prefer them but I hate em. I actually just bought my very own Springfield MC Operator yesterday, im going to review it tonight probably and upload a video. Doubt i'll ever customize mine like this though, I like the look of it out of the box. Anyway, awesome gun man!

  • Cool I'll be waiting for your review. They had it almost a year. Thanks again

  • @SinCityReview Holy shit, that's a long time to be away from your gun. I don't think I could let mine go for that long, lol. The end result was awesome though. I just uploaded my review of the MC operator, it should be up soon. Take care.

  • God, that operator turned out awesome! Definitely a beautiful machine to be proud of. The end product is bad@ss! I love the burnt bronze as well. I may have to use that on my TRP.

  • Thanks bro, Yea I love the bronze too.

  • looks insane. wow. would love to see it taken down and curious why you chose to send it to the guys at NH vs say Wilson?

  • No reason, other then I've dealt with them in the past and they treat me well. Do you use wilson combat?

  • @SinCityReview Well I favor Wilson 1911s over NHs but in all honesty, they are sorta the same with Wilson have the edge for sure. These 2 companies are interchangeable really. Smiths go back and forth it seems. Kinda like that American Chopper Sr. v Jr.

  • Very nice. Now go shoot the hell out of it and put some holster wear on it! :)

  • Yea, I put 200 rounds through it last week.

  • wow my brother its beautiful, jaw dropping.

  • Thanks man.

  • If you don't mind me asking what was the cost for the upgrades? and what was the turnaround?

  • It's not cheap, $1,300.00 and close to a year turn around. I kept adding little things here and there, but it was still a long wait. The best work doesn't come cheap or fast, but then again good work aint cheep and cheep work aint good, Right?

  • @SinCityReview

No I agree and that is one sweet looking pistol can't wait to see a vid on how she runs??

  • I was popping coke cans at 100 yards last week.

  • That is very nice,it looks like a showpiece not a pistol that you actually take to the range and shoot.Ceracoat is just awesome. Thanks for sharing.

  • Fore shure bro.

  • that is NICE !!!!!!!!!!! i would like to shoot something like that someday

  • It's a tac driver.

  • beaut!!! 5 stars!!!

  • Sweet!

  • Hey SinCityReview, I realize this wouldn't be the easiest thing to do, but could you take us step by step on the next gun you cerakote? Obviously I'd understand if you weren't able to do it, but I think it would make a very interesting video.

  • Yea, I've been thinking about it, we'll see.

  • Very nice

  • Bro that came out SWEEET!! It looks awesome, Knighthawk did an amazing job as always and the color you made is really cool!!

  • Glad you think so.

  • Beautiful weapon.

  • Glad you like it.

  • I LOVE that 1911, and the paint job turned out very nice.

  • Thanks alot.

  • Very, Very Nice. Enjoy.

  • Thanks.
