Wow - that's a big spider! Definitely would freak me out too! I just saw an episode of Billy the Exterminator getting a rid of an infestation of poisonous black widows at someone's home and I almost fainted. We have black widows in my neck of the woods as well and I go into panic mode when I see one. Of course I get my husband too, to deal with it! :)

aww you killed it, hunstmens don't stick around long inside of houses they keep moving all the time and they're not poisonous . Btw they eat all the other bad spiders like whitetails ect. so if you get bitten by one and lose a limb that's karma haha

I recently posted a video on a big spider that was in our house and then a smaller one that friggin jumped at me Arghhh.  A drama us Aussies all must face the removal of spiders from our house, we catch and release spiders, but it is scary lol. One good reason to have a light coloured house interior.

Mate, that's only a small spider by Aussie standards. Here in the U.S., that would be a monster spider. It was as big as some tarantulas I've seen.

What type of spider was that Darren? Looked to be a wolf spider which is non venomous. We have large wolf spiders here in the states and my wife and children freak out just like your girls.

I occasionaly get spiders like that one in my house, and very often when its raining for a while one decides to pop into the letterbox...

They completly ignore whatever we do and just leave when they feel like it, but are very good at controlling flies in Summer :D
