"respect for life" is essentially limited by conservatives to being against abortion (there are some conservatives who are against the death penalty, but they are few and far between). But denying women choice is the ultimate government intrusion. So are conservative policies like denying gay rights to marry.

Now i consider myself more of a conservative moderate than a liberal, but was it not the Republicans who have taken away our rights with passages of laws such as the Patriot Act. This kid is good at absorbing and relaying information his parents and homeschooling have given him, and talking without saying anything.He basically wraps up a 3 second idea with a 3 minute circular argument and 3 hour vocabularyof synonyms to keep feeding it. Babbling on about principles and different names for the same thing makes for good oratory but poor substance. His book, based on what I've seen here is equivalent to a very long C- first year political science paper.

IMO, true conservatism is changing when required, keeping the status quo if no change is needed, that is all, what this kid presents is conservatism in politics, not in the principle sense.

He states that being a republican is about preserving the people's rights. Now i consider myself more of a conservative moderate than a liberal, but was it not the Republicans who have taken away our rights with passages of laws such as the Patriot Act. In my opinion, the Republican's pushing for and passing of the Patriot Act is one of the biggest infringements of our American rights.
