@animefreak86 - Yeah, Leafs won in a tough, 7-game series, one of the best I've seen, & I'm a Leafs fan. If Game 7 had been played at Nassau instead of the ACC, the Isles probably would've blown out the Leafs in Game 7. But thank goodness the Buds pulled this one out in the end........

Yes, I stand corrected . What I'm remebering that it wasn't a match penalty, and Roberts was allowed to play after the penalty time expired, which is unthinkable, really.

No doubt the NHL of today would've suspended such a play even if it were the playoffs. But in 2002 it wasn't enforced like today. Roberts seemed possesed in those playoffs, which led to many outburts but also goals and such. Since then, he's shown flashes of the old Gary Roberts but that was the last time I recall him being such a force.

As a Leaf fan, I can say that was one CRAZY series; the fans @ Nassau were INSANE, especially since it was their 1st year in the playoffs since '94; Isles were a feisty team to play against, I was rather relieved that the Leafs survived this one.......
