One wheel burnouts are unavoidable with an open diff, a thing to keep in mind...when one wheel is spinning, the side gears and spider gears are turning a lot and are actually being overdriven, while the one axle is stationary. It is a good thing that the Toyota third members are made so well...but you still induced about 10,000 miles worth of wear in only a few seconds. The cup shaped washer that is up against the side gear, only needs to burnish once, turn blue, and then it is over for the pin.

@AbhLafiel yeah its the 7mgte, my friend has the third gen, hes pushin 16 psi through it with internal mods and cams with a 1jz intake conversion with spacer. he had to have all kinds of parts made for some of the stuff he's got on it, but its a one off car and he's making about 485 out of it on just 16psi, its capable of 30-ish psi, but he's to much of a baby to push it, little does he know when i borrowed it three weeks ago, it went to the strip pushing 25 psi, can u say no traction in 3rd!!!
