Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help me. I'm looking to find out about the title of this film. It is often referred to as the Fall of Otrar, but that is a Soviet Khazarkstan film that is in Black and White. This appaently is a Mongolian Chinese film made in the 1980's that no one seems to know anything about? Can anybody help me out here maybe with an IMDB reference?

Although wrong, Ghair Khan fought courageously and won praise from Ghenghiz himself. Jallaluddin Khwarizm Shah was another hero who dodged the mongol forces for as long as he lived and inflicted som heavy defeats on the mongols in Ghazni and at some other places. Ghenghis tried very hard to hunt him down but failed. And he always used to praise Jallal's courage and his will to survive and resurrect the fallen kingdom of Khwarizm.

Ghair Khan Inaljuk acted on intelligence reports which suggested that there were spies in the Mongol caravan which had camped at Otrar. There may indeed have been spies in the caravan, as Genghiz Khan was now very much interested in trying to get intelligence as to the military strength of the powers that surrounded him. Khwarizm was a military power with a grand empire at its back. However, Ghair Khan's massacring of the caravan was a wrong step which provided Genghiz with the excuse.

Ghair Khan Inaljuk was a great hero. He fought against the Mongol dogs like a tiger. Although the Muslims were vastly outnumbered, still they gave a real tough time to the Mongols. Otrar did not fall so easily. The extra-ordinary punishment given to Ghair Khan is a proof thet even the vampire Changez Khan himself was impressed by the brave man. Today, nobody knows where Changez Khan lies rotting, whereas Ghair Khan is remebered as a martyr!!!

You are not right. It is Mongols were outnumbered by Muslims but totally won this war. What reason led Mongols to the Muslim world so far from their home land? Pressures and profits? As I knew it before, mongols wanted to make a mask from Khayir Khans face, as a tribute to honourable enemy who fought to the last, but here in this version it is said mongols did it because Inalchuk's love 4 the money, so they have given him that money...mongols were legendary 4 treating real fighters with respect. I think the 1st version is more like truthful.
