As long as you don't give up when you fight your first Wyvern and can beat it by yourself, then you're making good progress. A lot of people give up when they have to fight Kut Ku or Rathalos for the first time. They didn't realize there would be such a difference between Wyverns and Dromes. But if you made it past them then the rest of the game is easier. In a way, Kut Ku is harder than Fatalis because you are used to wyverns and dragons by the time you get to Fatalis.

@demolition000 , awesome! Congrats. Yeah, I'd say you're good when you can handle a Fatalis. Heck, even before that. For some reason, a lot of people have problems when they just get to Wyverns. I know on the first game I had a heck of a time beating my first Kut Ku and I think that a lot of people give up because it's not an easy game. But if you keep trying it gets easier and it's always fun.

@demolition000 , yeah I'd say Crim is the hardest of the Fatalis just because there are so many variables. There is heat damage so you have to bring cool drinks which takes away a slot you could have healing supplies in. It is harder to dodge him with the way the stage is and his meteor shower is one-hit kill and harder to dodge than White Fatalis' lightning, in my opinion.

@ReneidKlein hehe.....i just made the Volcanic Rock hunting horn today! :D i could use it against crimson because apparently the armor stats say that he is a bit weak to fire...

@demolition000 , the armor isn't always 100% indicative of what they are weak to so take it with a grain of salt. I thought Fatalis was only weak to Dragon but I can't remember. There are a few monsters that actually live near things that hurt them. Like Rajang is hurt by ice but you sometimes fight him in the snowy mountains.

@demolition000 , yeah all elemental bullets have a set amount of raw damage they do, so even if something is resistant to an element the raw of the bullet will still hurt them. In one video I was killing Purple and Blue Hermitaur and Cenataur with fire bullets and they are resistant to them as well. Bombs still hurt Crim because they are considered bomb damage & not fire. I'm not sure if Crim is hurt by anything else other than Drag but Lao is also a dragon & hurt by fire so maybe Crim too.

@demolition000 , start with black weapons like black blade that you can get from mining that ancient dragon bone from your farm. You can upgrade that to a dragon weapon. It's how I started and most people start as well.

@ReneidKlein Crimson takes most damage from fire shots and they are the most effective on him, because Dragon S is terrible, but as for melee weapons, dragon element is the way to go.

when i killed my first killed kut ku, i used the same lance but full velociprey armour :D... took some time but was easy :D

@atlasboy123 , none of that was available on the first game. The 2nd game is MUCH easier than the first and gives you more armor and weapon possibilities. On the first game when you get to the Kut Ku you pretty much have Velocidrome armor and some dull green sharpness weapons.

Oh thank you. Yeah, we work really well together. When SRVIS was in its prime, Serenity and I used to meet up really early (like 9am) and play together for a few hours before the guys showed up around noon or so and then when the other guys left around 9pm, we'd keep playing together till like 11pm or longer sometimes. Plus, he also had Xlink kai while I did. So we have more experience together than the rest of SRVIS does.

Been so long since I made the originals, but I think it was the Twin Flames or something like that. You need Rathalos and Rathian parts for them.

hey, you need to upgrade it obviously to Hi Twin Flames, then Gradios Ultimus, then to Corpse Blades.

To make the Corpse Blades you need:

Rathalos Scale+ (8)

Rathian Scale+ (8)

Well, all the other members of my guild live far away. Velana lives about an hour and 15 minutes away, Shinora and Inya live about an hour and a half away and Serenity lives like four hours away. So when we did used to hang out more often we played all day since it may only be once a week when we got to hang out. Lately we haven't been able to hang at all.

Well that's fine. Not everyone is good at everything. The important thing is getting really good with at least two weapons so that you can fall back on another if you can't kill a monster with the other.

Yeah, I do it all the time. Just use the converter stick thingie that comes with your Memory Sticks (if they are Sandisk). I have a slot on the side of my laptop that I can just slide it into and it's faster and more secure than USB. Never had any problems with it that way.

Well I've mastered DS, GS, Bow, SnS and LS. I'm learning HH, Hammer, Gunlance and Bowgun. I am best with bow though. Better with it than any other weapon class and I'm getting pretty good with bowgun but it isn't as precise as the bow.

Well I found that jewels give +2 precision for just one slot. So I put it on some armor and used my Flame Wrath. I didn't notice a difference. Unless it was with shooting from the hip, that seemed to be a little more like it is with a bow.

Well, with precision, bullets dont drift off the line, and aiming with the bow seems much better to me.

e.g. if i used a bow to attack fatalis whose head is so high up, even if the line is way below the head, te arrow still hits. Sry i dont know how else to explain it. Maybe a slight auto-aim for the bow or seomthing

Hmm, auto-aim, eh? I don't really need that but it would help when I shoot from the hip. I get about 70% of my shots to hit when it's that way and I'd say about 90-95% hit when I aim. So if I had that precision it might make it fully accurate but not sure.

Sometimes my bow has the Scatter shot, and so I need to ensure I get all arrows to hit for maximum damage. I think Precision works for this, I dunno.

Hmm, if it makes all of the scatter hit then that would be nice to have. I haven't tried it with bow yet, just bowgun. I'll have to try bow to see any difference.

Why dont you try using a bowgun pellet shot? It works like a scatter shot too

I'm not really a fan of pellet shots. Flame Wrath can't shoot pellet and I use FR more than any other bowgun. I'd only use pellet if I was on a mission with a lot of prey or something I wanted to kill.

Lol, look at the main video in my profile page. Flame Wrath 444 Attack, Rapid of pierce lv1 and Flame shot. With Shot Mix armor on that gives you a max combo each time, that is 99 x 3 (can carry 99 velociprey fangs and 99 husberries) = 297 pierce + 60 pierce you can carry = 357, each shot is rapid 5x which is a total of 1,785 possible shots in one mission (if it could last that long). That gun is a beast.

Well it's not that hard to do unless you have a Slim and a really new official firmware. My PSP is a first generation one that stayed at 1.5 until Dark Alex released custom firmware that didn't require Devhook anymore.

Yeah, I use Kai. You use it to play games that are usually ad-hoc only as a wifi infrastructure. You have the Chinese version of Monster Hunter or Wifi Max? And I've seen people from all over the world play Wifi Max with different versions of monster hunter. You should still be able to play just fine.

Wow, I find it easier to trap Wyverns cause they limp. But the crabs will blow black bubbles so that is an easy sign as well.

That's because you have negative affinity on the weapon. Purple crits are negative critical hits. Meaning that your weapon attack is 25% LOWER when it does a purple crit than a normal attack. Red crits are 25% higher.

At first I thought you had to get higher guild points to rank up, but you have to beat certain Guild Missions. To get to HR2 you need to do these missions: HR 1 - HR 2 -A True Foe - The Giadrome!
