Foolish girlhood stubbornness. She wanted what she couldn't have. It's very well conveyed in the book, her love for Ashley gradually dies and by the time she realises it's Rhett she truly wants to be with, it's too late. Heartbreaking :(

This song made me cry. Vivian Leigh is very enchanting, adorable, and fiery. Her childish defiance and graceful flirtations seemed to fit her passions. Her passion of all/most women. To be admired, be in fashion, envied, to provoke sympathy when she wants things her own way naturally. I think her connection to Rhett Butler in the story fits well, because his vibrant spontaneous humor, class, and his idealistic ways. They were exactly alike which probably blinded her about Ashley, different.

This was such a good video. This has to be one of my favorite stories of all time. Rhett was the only one that accepted Scarlett for who she was. He didn't want her to be something that she was not. This video evokes that. Good choice of music.

I just have to say that I love this movie and this song, and just btw the sequel to Gone With the Wind is called Scarlett by Alexandra Ripley (good read!), Rhett Butler's people is a prequel through the eyes of Rhett!

Scarlett is sooooo good I loved it! I loved it more than Gone with the wind! (blasphemy, I know!) but Margret mitchell was not that good of a writer! Too much detail about everything! (2 whole paragraphs in session just about Scarlett's face!) Ripley is a very ood author you'll love it!

i actually prefer Mitchell's writing style above Ripley's lol. just personal preference, but ill definatetly finish reading the sequel one of these days. GWTW was the original & i guess i like old-fashioned classics a lot better than new stuff lol

I LOVE gone with the wind it is my favorite book, but I feel that Mitchell is a lot like Jane Austen, says one thing 10 times! And Ripley is an amazing historical author, she taked the time to research her history! Not like so many others who makecrap up and put it in a book! again just my opinion! sorry for any hard feeling
