As for Oliver, on that same ep he tells his mum he loved him back totally, but also when he and Kyle meet at the gym after the kiss and he's still in denial Kyle says "and I suppose you don't remember telling me you loved me either, uh?" (sort of), so there you are...

Plus the fact that Kyle wasn't in the closet, and Oliver too was acting out and could because he wasn't really realizing that it meant he was gay... That's what happened to a friend of mine too, and to me...

it's totally not true that they were f**k buddies when they were in college... As PABWECG said Kyle referred to their relationship back then as the "most meaningful", and when Oliver is talking about the whole thing with his mum she asks him: "did he tell you that he loved you?" and he answers yes... Back in August Kyle said to Oliver that theirs was "the most meaningful relationship" he'd ever had...

When Oliver came out to his parents, he told his Mother that what he felt for Kyle he had never experienced with anyone else (before or since).

These are all feelings that Kyle and Oliver felt during college. They were in love.

They were totally in the closet (especially Oliver), but they were definitely in love.

To me, f*ck buddies is a way more casual thing than what they were.

haha the only thing that bugs me about this storyline is that Kyle and Oliver have been shagging since college, why is it so far off now? I woulda thought first thing they woulda done was jump in bed together. Don't get me wrong, I like how they are taking it slow and getting to know each other again (courtship), but it kinda contradicts their history.

probably because there was such a rift between the two, and Oliver is *just now* actually coming out. Taking things slow is just to preserve Oliver's sanity... he's done a lot in the past few days, more than he ever could have before. They'll jump into bed eventually.

yeah, thats understandable. This might sound weird, but in college they seemed more like fu*k buddies more than anything. Even though they said they loved each other, they were nothing more than friends outside of the bedroom. Now, they are taking things slow and really experiencing courtship and their relationship, and I think that its noble of them not to just jump in the sack. This time its more than lust or sex , its gonna be making love.

indeed, they were glorified fuck buddies who could never admit to each other that they loved each other -- well, Kyle could, but Oliver never could, and never got the chance to, thanks to his parents. They were 'together', which is why Oliver said on the 3rd that he was in a relationship "in the closet", referring back to college.

Now that they're adults, and college well behind them, they can restart their relationship with the true love and class that should have been there so long ago.

Is it wrong to laugh when you over hear Oliver talking about coming out, (in the beginning of the video) I don't know why but the way he was sounding he made it kinda cute!

American soaps are a little too rigid (pardon the pun) about gay relationships. I hope that the actors get a little nesting in sometime soon. The writers need to learn a little from Verbotene Liebe, I think.
