Orange peel can make the most beautiful car look craptacular. I remember last year one of the dudes I work with pulled up in a wide body twin turbo supra he did from the ground up. It looked perfect but I could never get over fact that he didn't have the same formula for the type r yellow on some of his panels.
He's saying there's gonna be a cheaper and less advanced "baby" version of the SLS, which won't have gullwing doors. However, the real SLS will have them.

Actually, I just wanted to help them at what they do for a living, and FYI I have enough time and money to watch this show daily, and I think that if you do something for a living you should make it your best, but thanks.
Fast Lane Daily: you are right, change is good, but if it is changing to something better. Now don't get me wrong, the graphics are awesome and the song is very well produced, but if it's a show about the FAST LANE it should be an upbeat, more sporty song, somethig that relates to the viewer's interests is more professional.

i feel your pain but 1 thing FLD should have added is never buy a car the first year of its production, so a 2005 RX-8 is a no no... or 2007 M5 :(... the first year, workers at the factory will get the odd car wrong because its brand new.... i no when i bought a used 2001 Celica TRD there were a lot of problems with the gearbox... Toyota (lol) said it was because it was a brand new system from Toyota and workers had trouble with consistency!!

Actually most GM's come out of factory with mismatched body panels normlly the bumper covers are lighter or darker than the rest of the car, and the new camaro the doors and the quarter panels are usually mismatched. and some cars do come from factory with Orange peel but some other things to look for are dry spots in the paint, overspray, tape lines, and look in the spare tire well often times they arent cleaned after an accident and glass is left in there. but overall good advice.

The number of cylinders has absolutely NO relation to power. They could make a 8.0 Liter 2 cylinder if they really wanted to. It's all about the displacement not how it's displaced.

Thats fine. I never said I didn't enjoy the humor. But I think some of the skits are a little overdone (or underdone, depending on how you look at it...) And I do for sure think y'all cover a little too much F1 news. I watch the show every damn day, for about a year now. P.S. Tell Trish she's giving east coast girls a good name. Shes a hawty fo SHO! SLS should be a limited edition powerhouse not compete with a 911. And how can Mercedes bring back an icon and leave out the part that made the SLS an icon, the gull wing doors? Well maybe that wasn't the only thing that made it an icon but I don't think they should call this SLS an SLS. Just like the Dodge Chargers that were re-made. How can you re-make a classic muscle icon into a 4 door AWD V6? WTF?

are you smoking crack? the SLS does have gulwing doors. they said they wont put them on the "baby" SLS, that is more of a special edition. two doors, not 4! it has a V8, NOT a V6! and its not AWD!

Nah the SLS concept has gullwing. Production will be normal doors. Kinda sucks - what's the point - may as well buy a crappy crossfire and put a decent engine and decent shocks in it. SSDD

Because everywhere I look, people are talking about it actually having the gullwing configuration... and sorry about the whole 4dr AWD thing, I just misunderstood your comparison.

Yeah..a V6 with more power than the 4.6L V8 Mustang, same power as the 6.1L V8 in the SRT Dodges and Chryslers.
My point is..a V6 isn't such a bad thing these days. I mean, look at the new Taurus SHO..that thing's a bloody beast, but it gets better mileage than my Maxima.

thats not the point of it thought, the point is it's heritage from the old 300sl which had the iconic desgin, and not just for design but it served the function alowing the car to be lower and allowing the beams to run along the side of the car
