My best dives spearfishing were last week in baja. I was laying still on the bottom and I was able to stay down for a little over 2:30 min at 20 feet.
Those scallops were around 20 feet deep. I was surprised to find them there because it is a popular dive spot. It has been my experience that scallops are more common in Mendocino county then in Sonoma county. I have found quite a few around ft brag and Mendocino. I would suggest looking in cracks on vertical walls.
Thanks for getting back to me. By the way if you would be interested in meeting up some time to go diving. I am allways looking for new dive partners and if not thats cool. Just send me a message. Thanks for your time
Where exactly is your best scallop spot? I am a West County Sonoma local if that helps!

god damn those things are huge, the only scallops I ever caught were on the east coast (N. Carolina) and a big one would be 4 inches diameter

I often go, but don't see them. Any particular location in Sonoma.

What's the limit on Scallops? Also is it still legal to take Abalone?
FishingKing754 1 year ago
@FishingKing754 so few its hardly worth it and bag limits 20 pp
ifishanyweather 1 year ago
@FishingKing754 It wasn't a limit. A limit is 10 scallops. We can still take abalone, but they reduced the limit to 3 a day and 24 a year

Sweet video. Is that the 5mm or 7mm Picasso Ghost?
dosramos 2 years ago
Thanks. The suit is a 7mm, but it isn't a ghost. It has a different name because it is gray and black.
