It's not Billy Preston who plays the keyboard solo in that song, It's George Martin. He recorded it at half speed & it's played back in regular speed so it appears unusually articulate for its speed at certin points.

I think you're a great musician and teacher, thanks for all your videos. One note about the original recording of In My Life... The keyboard instrumental was done by Beatles producer George Martin, he actually did it in a lower key and sped it up to fit into the song. You mentioned that it was done by Billy Preston, who did do some of the keyboards on the Let it Be album, but it was not him on In My Life, it was George Martin.

Garry has the unique ability to cut through all the production to find the basic technique John Lennon stylized and present it in ways it was originally recorded and teach it on various levels his students may have adopted. Yeah the Beatles did it in A but he explained that if you want to do it like them them you capo the second fret.
