Ayane and Bass werent introduced until Dead or Alive for Playstation and Dead or Alive ++ in the arcades.

They were not in the original doa1 arcade version or the Sega Saturn version (which is what doau uses)

Yes, but from what I can see that was before ayane was a full character. I often call the training character Ayane Beta. As a bonus in Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate on Xbox Ayane has the doa1 training costume.

Because they changed her to a blonde in Dead or Alive 2. She did have a blonde costume or two in the doa1 playstation 1 version though.

The Dead or Alive Poster you speak of is from an early build of the arcade game. A few of the characters were much different looking and even had different names. Lei Fang was originally Rei Fang.
