Go get em "killer"!!! You've got such a big fan club, they're gonna start camping out on your door step before you know it! You know I'm behind you all the way, and I know your a busy man, but you might be almost "forced" into putting together an instructional DVD!!!! Could be an nice little adjunct to your main profession as a pilot ( I belive it is.) Good luck, and we all love you! Marc Trainor.
Hey Marc...thanks for the support my friend..Business is picking up. Im teaching quite a bit, new gigs are coming in. Got a call to play with Vern Gosdin this week too..
The first book is in the works as well..thanks for posting..Mickey
Hey Waymond!...Thanks for posting. Thats great news. A lefty LGD S12?...I have never seen one, and I can say thats got to be a really rare guitar. Id love to see a picture or two when you get the time...And sure, we can do some Nightlife work. Im getting another G2 from Mullen in a few weeks that will have a few new changes on it...ill take a look at it then ok?....Thanks again...Peace!...Mickey
Mickey I consider you a freind for life! your up front approach to teaching those of us who go brain dead when dealing with tab is great. God bless you! since finding your site I have pulled out my beautiful 12 string left handed LDG model and have been jumping on it! I know you are very busy but could you work out a version of "night life" for the E9TH. thanks for your time and talent. Waymond
Hello Mickey, thanks for keeping in touch. I'm hanging in there. Wish I could get in a few more hours of practice but don't we all. I am taking some time to record some rhythm tracks to play along with and I have been considering finding some reasonably sane musicians to do a few select gigs. There is nothing wrong with playing the VFW. Mickey thanks again for your support and instruction, I am light years ahead of where I was. ( I'm still patiently waiting for 'Nightlife') Later bro! Waymond
Hey Mickey, I JUST discovered Sarah Jory. OMG!!! SHE'S INCREDIBLE! But I can't quite recall the song you're using in this tutorial. I heard her play it as well but it's on the tip of my tongue. Can you help?
Think I found it... Just go to your friendly local youtube dot com and
add /watch?v=HHyf5uMlP1s
It's from October 2006 - quite recent. Not a great recording. Recording level a bit high, hence some distortion. On the last piece she does an interesting soft passage. Looks like she's using just bar motion with no picking.
Thanks again for all your posts. They are helping me soooo much! Can you make a new DVD of your new posts? It realy helps to be able to start & Stop the DVD to learn the licks.
mickey thanks man,.. im really getting the hang of this :D.
Greetings from holland..

Im not sure the name of that song Edward...Do you know?...Mickey
Singlpilot 3 years ago
Not sure of the exact title, but I think the words to the passage Mickey plays are something like, "It keeps right on a-hurtin' since you've gone."

The song is: "Together Again"

I've messed with this for a while from Sarah Jory's video. Thanks for filling in some gaps in what I was doing. I wonder if high heels would help?
Thanks for all your contributions.
