@vampyreakura takes a while to learn, i'd give it a few months practice at least, but then i've found the entire time i've been modeling i always learn something new or some new tool i didnt know about each time i make something
@yellowgirl123456789 It's Alexa 2 from 3Dcommune -- which just shut down, I'm not even sure you can get the model anymore and if you could, you'd still have to buy it
Indeed, requires alot of practice, my mistake was when I switched between 3ds max - cinema 4d - hexagon- Pegasus modeler wasting alot of time this way but now I decided to stay in hexagon. I have another version of modelling a dress which start with a BOX primitive. SO far I have T-Shirt-pants-dress-shoes modelling tutorials but couldn`t find any tut for bra and panties :( :( Still looking for such tuts. I will try your version with a cilinder too, looks easyer.
from what i undestand SL sculptie modeling should be around the same as this, i've never tried it personally as I don't play SL but i don't see what the major difference could be.. the actual modeling should be the same, just have to import something to model around
there's a few different ways, if you're using a cylinder you can just delete a point or face.. if you're using a cube odds are there won't be enough faces or points to delete so you'll have to tesselate to add more.. If you watch around 1:30 of the vid you can see where her arms are poking through the 2 side faces, you could just delete those to get arm holes, though you'll have to move the edges around to fit
I tried making a dress before and it got really messy, and I got quite frustrated. I'm going to give it another go soon though using your example. :o)

I loved this tutorial! You did a great job, and was easy to understand, and follow. Well, I will follow it soon, and try and make a blouse.

can i model stuff like hair on here?
MaykelKapersky 2 years ago
yup :) the same way, you just start with a cap over the head and form the hair as you go.. slightly more complicated than clothing, though
