  • Honestly I hardly remember these chicks but that red head is Fucking slammin sexy lol

  • This song made me impulsive

  • Its like a carrot and a watermelon

  • Top 3 Wilson Phillip's song!

  • I love these girls, they should make another album.

  • My favorite song by them.

  • loved them back in 1990

  • i thought Carnie got that operation and she wasn't big anymore

  • @sozo78 She gained it all back unfortunately. It's probably a genetic thing with her.

  • @sozo78 I have a fiend who had that stomach operation. She was doing okay for a while, but now she has gained a lot of the weight back despite the operation. I didn’t know that was possible, but I guess it is. Sorry to hear that happened to Carney.

  • @sozo78 she also a baby not long afterwards, I guess she couldn't drop the weight she gained during her pregnancy.

  • Love Wilson Phillips- here's my tribute to them..

    /watch?v=jEippUqLL0k

  • In contrast to Carney, who was perpetually hiding herself in these videos, Chynna wasted no time in showing off her lithe frame jam packed into the tightest fitting (and scantiest) of clothes. In deference to her sister, Wendy tried to be a bit less conspicuous. Kind of funny in that Wendy now has the best body of the three, Carney has looked both great and not so great depending on her weight fluctuations, while Chynna, though still attractive, has a thicker girth after having children.

  • @spartacus3ful Dude, stop acting like we're in the fucking Stone Age, who the fuck cares about shit like that. Wilson Phillips are all kind, respectable girls that sound perfect in unison. That's why I came here, not to talk about a woman's girth.

And speaking of girth, in my opinion Carnie Wilson is the most attractive fat woman in the world, bar none. She should pose nude as a fat woman to fuck with the media and superficial cave dwelling fucks like you. Enough said.

  • @shelivade91

Right, like you would go out of your way to date or marry a woman that large. Cut the crap.

  • @spartacus3ful No, I probably wouldn't, but I'd go out of my way to defend her if she was as beautiful and talented as Carnie Wilson.

  • @shelivade91 I thought she wasn't fat any more? She had to get lipo to become skinny. I loved when Chris Farley use to be her on SNL. lol Oh Chynna i want you!

  • It's amazing how plastic surgery and 20 years can change her

  • I look at Chynna on DWTS and she looks like a completely different person than she did during these years. The different hair cut and age seemed to have transformed her, either way she is still beautiful.

  • In the words of the immortal Randy Newman. "Baby, take off that dress, yes, yes, yes - you can leave your hat on....baby leave your hat on". Oh Wendy, leave the hat on. Wendy, in 1991, with her hat on, OMG, there was never a sexier girl ever, before or since.

  • Always really loved this. Had to check out this video after watching BRIDESMAIDS last night.

  • Auto-Tune - Auto-Tune - Auto-Tune

  • @Darlahood 1970: If you're still around could you please explain your Dicky Betts reference? I agree he had some brilliant guitar (both lead AND rhythm) in his discography but THIS lead (slide) guitar is SO Joe Walsh. That kick-ass Les Paul shown in the video is PROBABLY the actual instrument used to record that chunky, percussive rhythm guitar track, which, I think, kind of puts this song in another league from the rest of WP's poppy stuff. Now who was THAT gtr plyr? Answer me that!!(?)

  • @dansteely77

i think the guitar player was Chyna's boyfriend at the time... his last name is/was Landau, but the firsat name escapes me...

  • This song should have hit #1

  • BillboardClassic:Unfortunately, Impulsive only got to #4

  • This shows how people have become slaves to imagery beginning with the 1980s. Mama Cass Elliot was never afraid to show her body on live television stages (this was pre-music videos), but poor Carnie Wilson had to keep concealing herself in every video that this group produced.

  • @spartacus3ful Much like the Wilson sisters from Heart. In the 70's, she was free to show her body. But she was skinny then. When she gained weight, video directors forced her to hide behind props (see "There's The Girl"). And on it goes. The business is led by style over substance; And that won't change until someone decides to come out of hiding and shake things up.

  • @silverpilot1979

I remember that video. The interesting part is that Carney was the most attractive and talented of the three women in WP, and in Heart, I always preferred the dark haired sister in terms of looks and talent.

  • chynna looks exactly like jane from melrose place

  • @nevergonnaletudown I know, That was the hairstyle for blonds back then. I like it. It makes the ladies look more sophisticated and chic.

  • I LOVE THEM!!!!!! MY FAVE SONG EVER!!!!

  • Has it really been more than 20 years?

  • I wanna be impulsive with Wendy :)~

  • Wilson Phillips sold millions of albums worldwide, they toured all around the world with their great music, they are real music artists that sing real music, this is real music, they are one of the greatest groups in music history worldwide, this is one of the greatest songs in music history worldwide, this song was a big top 10 hit on the Billboard music charts here in the United States that was also a big top 10 hit worldwide, awesome song :)

  • What a shame this this wonderful group broke up after onlty two albums--they were the best new group of 1990, in mu humble opinion! These women could sing, chose great songs, and had great session musicians play the music! It did make me happy when they finally reunited in the new millinium! Peace and Love, BobbyK

  • @bobby7771117

First Chynna, and then Carnie, thought they could go out on their own, but their success was modest at best. Carnie explored a whole bunch of areas such as her own talk show and launching her own line of plus-size clothing for women, in addition to a solo singing career, but it soon became evident that the three women were at the top of their games when they were together. I believe they did come back for awhile to make more albums and-or singing tours?

  • wow never thought i would find this on here but ive listened to them since i was 5 back in 93 they made some of the most truest songs that really was close to the meaning of life and love

  • @dakotarush i was listening to them at 9 years old and loved them so much, i always thought they'd be around forever, they had that kinda sound were you just knew theyd be around forever, so strange they did the opposite. they're songs were great. the whole first album was just awesome, and the second garbage. love them still tho.

    san jose,ca

  • @dakotarush Wow, if you feel that way about Wilson Phillips-who I love--you ought to hear early Jackson Browne, and alll Dan Fogelberg! I never heard deeper songs about the human condition than these two wonderful, genius, singer/songwriter/musicians! Sincerely, BobbyK

  • Great pop song! <3

  • Back in the day,i used to make fun of songs like this, but the scarey thing is,this sounds superior compared to most of todays music.

  • 12 people heard the 2010 impulse cover of MYMP

  • wendy's hat is epic!

  • Wendy is a knock out beauty, and this song really fits the image and the voice is so cute.

  • does anyone know what the word "impulsive" means? I'm confused.

  • @randalle1 Impulsive means "to act without thinking", simply put.

  • @silverpilot1979 thanks

  • @randalle1 No problem.

  • finally met someone that could blow my theory apart..

  • one of their best songs...all extremely talented and goodlooking on their part.....wonderful!!!

  • They are crazy impulsive! They wear Groucho glasses! And funny hats!

I had a big ol' 14 year old chubby for Wendy back in the day.

  • This band, Wilson-Phillips, got me through some rough times when I was younger.

  • Thank you for posting this. I heard this on Syrius Radio earlier tonight and I hadn't heard it in sooo long. Had to come home and find the video to listen to it again! LOVE IT!

  • Comment removed

  • @yiddo67 Two of them actually. Brian Wilson's daughters are Wendy and Carnie Wilson. The third member of this band was Chynna Phillips, daughter of John and Michelle Phillips of The Mamas and Papas.

  • @swstryker ok thanks

  • I LOVED Wilson Phillips back then! This was my favorite song and video of theirs, and I would always get a thrill went VH1, etc. played it.

  • @BetamaxBabe Me it reminds me back when i was nineteen back in Prince Albert,Saskatchewan, ahh those were the days!

  • Wendy is rockin that hat

  • I love you Carnie! Be who you are, you are sooooooooooooo beautiful!

  • My Lord... Wendy is like everything I ever wanted in a girl... sexy and then again very innocent looking too... true perfection if there ever was!

  • Wendy Wilson...baking it up nice!

  • oh man..how can anyone not love redheads? epitome of womanly perfection right there

  • I love Carny...despite what you posers say! They all look good, but look at Carny now. So who gives a shite~

  • Wendy Wilson when she was 21 years old, my oh my oh my. She was, simply, the sexiest girl who ever lived.

  • Carnie and Wendy Wilson are both off-the-charts adorable :-)

  • great sound for my soul

  • Already ten years are gone? Ops, they are 20 !!!!!!

  • FUNNY BOYWUNDER343 I AIN'T EVEN WHITE . JUST OLD GOOD MEMORIES .

  • THIS SONG TAKES ME BACK TO WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER & I WOULD BORROW MY OLDER SISTER'S CAR IN THE MORNING TO WORK AT MC DONALD'S & THIS SONG WOULD COME ON PLUS THE RED HEAD I WAS TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH HER & LOOKED FOR A GIRL IN HIGH SCHOOL WHO LOOKED LIKE HER . OH WELL THAT NEVER HAPPENED .

  • @RICK93IR awww that is so white trash sentimental...kind of like this song

  • OMFG!! I LOOOOOOOVE WILSON PHILLIPS!! WISH THEY WOULD "COME BACK" I Have such a hard on for Carnie Wilson!! (Rather big or skinny, She a hot ass Bitch!!!)

  • Aaaaah, nostalgia of my childhood youth. Too bad I wasn't born 10 years earlier so I could see them live as a teen. But then again, my years will slowly click away, so live like there's no tomorrow!

  • @pannoni1 yeah, me too. I was 10yrs old when this came out and I remember my mom bringing home the vinyl record. LOL

  • 1990 was a good year for these hotties

  • I have and always will love that treo.

Best songs when I was growing up.

    -Pan

  • I've always thought Wendi was so beautiful. And even today, she is still stunning. To me, she was she 'center' star of this group.

  • Wendy Wilson is gorgeous.

  • chynna,,,!!!

  • The music that me and my man listened to in the beginning of our lifes together its ,,,,,,,,magic ...... what more can I say ??? I was breathless ! impulsive !!! and many other things in between !!!! a classic for us and we are stiil together to this day .....with 5 children to boot xx

  • @1jasminedog CONGRATS!

  • LUV IT!

  • Comment removed

  • FUCK... YES... el backo-de-flasho!!!

  • WENDY IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN HER VOICE IS SO TENDER LIKE VELVET WAS IN LOVE FROM HER AND I STILL I AM

  • She was the best looking one always...

  • And still Is!!!

  • @zoggyzoggo Which one?

  • @geczel

She was the worse singer though! She can carry a tune! But .. nowhere as good as the others - singing wize!

  • @geczel Carnie was the FATTEST!lol Ya Know

  • @ballgames32 do not call people who have a problem with eating fat, it is a medical problem that she got help for.

  • @molympia1977 Her only problem was being LAZY and having NO WILL POWER! She has NO legitimate reason for being FAT! Ya Know

  • @ballgames32 No her problem was growing up with a father that was a nutcase....period! She got the music talent from him but also a heck a lot of problems. I think the sisters did really well after that childhood.

  • @geczel i agree!!!

  • 15 again. I wanna be impulsive, breathless.

  • would def. slam wendy

  • luv the song but I hate the 90s fad of putting fugly hats on otherwise good looking people- who the f@#$ started that horrible fashion?

  • This is the only song I've listened by them that doesn't sound dreadfully poppy - it's that guitar that saves the song in my book.

  • Dude, this takes me way back. I was like in my second year of college when this came out LOL. Remarkably clear considering how long ago this video came out.

  • wendy wilson can't sing live... still this is my fav song

  • @nevergonnaletudown It's true that Wendy does not sound so good in the earlier years, but her live performance has definitely improved over th years...listen to her live rendition of this song in 2008...way smooth and confident.

    v=F47bm5jgazU

  • @cybstorm yeah i agree she's gotten better with years... lol why is my comment got 2 thumbs down? what i said was true... it was painful listening 2 this song performed live in 1991

  • @nevergonnaletudown yup, her voice wasn't steady singing this song live when it first came out...the thubsdown was not from me though...

  • i think youre wrong prostratic, they had a beautiful melody, and carnie is trying to change her ways

  • Oh my...I remember when Wilson Phillips first came out and I loved this group. I love that I was a teen of the 90's. I still have my original cassette tape and the original cd's I bought later on. These girls rocked

  • I got this CD on my 15th birthday in 1990 with a portable CD player to go with it. The batteries only powered the player for an entire CD! LOL Who knew I'd end up with an iPod that would hold 1000s of songs and play for days?

  • chynna phillips, seriously damn gorgeous

  • you're so mean

  • @coolsweetgroovy Why? I was just asking a question.

  • @alexpacker88 Ok soory but why you cracked that joke? so mean

  • what gets me about Wilson Phillips is they were huge and got some of the same reaction for the second album, even though it didn't stick as long as the first, but what gets me about them is that they never had any lost b side tracks or better known as Non Lp work, I wish they had music that is rare and hard to get...I love that in artists

  • Joe Walsh on the slide. His style was so unmistakable at 2:56 and then at the end, that (back in the day) I identified him before even looking at the liner notes.

  • Read from somewhere that WP will be releasing new album in 2010.

  • @TheDeborahfan wow i can't wait

  • although they are not active anymore in d music scene but their songs matters always.... dis particular song reminds me of Erwin my college "friend" we're talking seriously bout the next step in our friendship and dis our background song....

  • What a classic 90s song and group for that matter. Takes me back.

  • @1halfmanhalfamazing WORD UP!! to whatever you were replying to...lol

  • I miss the early 90's, and Wilson Phillips. Carnie was always my favorite.

  • Ah, such a good song. I like the girls too, they are very pretty. At 2:15, when the blond one is wearing a bra, and she is spinds, reminds me of Selena (R.I.P).

  • I always thought of Wendy as being quiet and shy... definitely reserved.

  • That's what made Wendy the best.

  • They really put some thought when writing this song.

  • Every song in the 90's makes me wanna relive those times

  • w '90tym miałem 10 lat i znam tę piosenkę, mam ją na kasecie magnetofonowej o nazwie EUROTOP 8.

  • wendy + long hair = PERFECTION (even now)

  • @mephatboi YOU ARE RIGHT SHE IS FLAWLEES SO BEAUTIFUL

  • she's the reason i started loving redheads... ever since i was 5

  • @DDubya454

And Carnie is the reason I started liking big girls. No joke.

  • I never imagine you could... Blow my theory apart... But now you're running away, with my Heart!!! I was soooo in love...

  • I loved this tune a lot!!!!

  • miss this group..

  • Wendy looks absolutely beautiful in this video.

  • Look czimeragi, you just put in google's seeker, the name of ''PATRICK STORBY'', when the results apear, choose the first one, then apears the blog page of this guy, you have to read in the part of blog, and you find out one site were you can get, a W.P. VIDEO OF IMPULSIVE,with a very good quality, for the fans of wilson phillips, enjoy it and good luck everyone.

  • In addition to hiding Carnie in all the videos, they wasted a very good song with her on lead vocal - "Eyes Like Twins."

Any WP fan knows that should've been an A-side single. Instead they stuck it on Side B, track 4.

(This was back in the day during cassettes. We had "sides" okay? ;-))

I'll bet that song would've been a top 5 single, had they released it. Easily.

  • The best song from their debut album and one of the best songs of the 90s. This group was completely underrated towards the end of that decade. 4 smash hits off their debut should have coasted them further than a mere sophomore album.

  • you are right ,this is the best song of this album, and one of the best songs of the 90s, i complete agree with you, but the music industry never reward them ,is funny ,but true, i always think wilson phillips was one of the best grups of the 90s. and one of the best of USA, and always will be.

  • Poor Carnie got NO time in this video in comparison with Chyynna and Wendy. And they make it SO obvious.... too....

    ;(

  • Wendy Wilson was hot!!! and still is.... !!!!

  • Please, please someone send me..this one in HQ :Thanks

  • Awesome.

    5 stars*

    Love Carina XXX

  • Ah, childhood memories. My sister and I always joke about how bright Wendy's lipstick is in this vid.

  • i love this song and i love this group this song bring me beautiful memories , i was in love of wendy wilson so bad she is so beautiful her voice her face she is wonderful, besides she is super hot

  • Nice tune. Peace only in our LORD. Joh 14:27

  • this song sounds a little different to the album.theres more rhythm guitar or the mix has been tweeked.anyway the girls look and sound glorious.joe walsh again on slide .not a bad track on this whole album .

  • Great song

  • All three women have always been very beautiful. I don't think they should have tried to hide Carnie's body. Not every woman is a size 2.

  • I totally love how they show off Chynna and Wendy's bodies and hide Carnie as much as possible. lol

  • I know it's even worse in the "Hold On.' Don't we all just love to put on a black business suit and go sit at the beach?

  • i love them i love this song!

  • Great video! :)

  • love Chynnas hair, had mine cut like this 20 years ago, and after 18 years of it long I have rediscovered wilson phillips and had a chynna cut again

  • THAT'S HOT !!!

  • all three of thier voices blend so beautifully together....they dont have music like this anymore

  • I totally agree! Today's music sucks!

  • Comment removed

  • Weren't these three ladies step-sisters, or am i remembering incorrectly. Either way i love their music, the harmony and melody they have is so wonderful!

  • Not step-sisters, but they did grow up together. Wendy and Carnie are sisters - the daughters of Beach Boy Brian WIlson, and Chyna (the blond) is the daughter of Michelle and John Phillips of the Mammas and the Papas.

  • aaah, back when MTV actually played videos! Where have those good days gone? I am so sick of reality tv shows..I want my MTV back and groups like Wilson Phillips!!!!

  • that's why TRL went bust i think.I feel that the great era of music officially ended with the boy band era, ever since then,it's been downhill from there.

  • Try VH-1 Classic ! they play all the good old stuff !!

  • old stuff !! let me tell you something the music of today is all crap ¡ the songs like this one are great and they have soul, spirit and other things and the girls are beautiful

  • i think their songs and appereances have characters..unique, not like today's women-group that much like the same and all trying so much to be skinny

  • ahh, good times. I remember this song from Jr. High. Love it, brings back old memories of listening to em on tape, and records

  • Great song...they should of stayed together and not kept us waiting 14 years between albums.

  • Cool song by a cool group !!

    John Hunter Phillips

If We Ever Need A Super Man

  • Hi John,

How are you? Wow I didn't know you were a Wilson Phillips fan too. i love there music,

    talk to you later,

    Donyel

  • Oh i love them I am huge Brian wilson fan and my name is john Phillips, so i had great interest when the showed up on Lettermen one night years ago. They are GREAT. John
