  • super retarded

  • 3:36 it looked like an eye.

  • My God what a MOMENT! Thanks 4 the epic memory Belgian Burners! you even recycled the ashes from this to grow more trees!

  • Thanks. :)

But they actually planted 2 trees for every tree they cut down.

    I think. :/

    But w.e

People think that I shouldn't go to Burning Man.

F them! Burning Man has changed me into a coolioer person. THATS RIGHT, COOLIOER. I work at the postal service. Its quite fun to shoot the pants cannon at the shirt cockers, and to yell, "I HAVN'T TAKEN MY MEDS! SO SEND A FRIGGEN POSTCARD BEFORE I TAKE OUT MY RUBBER CHICKEN, YA?" It's just a place to be disgruntled. And a spaz. :)

  • Poor Ishmael.

  • Ah... The Belgian Waffle. It burned so freaken hot! Dood. That rocked. This year will be my third year going. Im 11! My sis is 14 and has gone 5 times. My dad has been 7. It rocks!

  • 11? you kid, right? you lucky kid! must've given you a lot of life force and some good inspiration! your future sure has brightness.

  • I was part of the belgian team , and I feel that I must say that the wood wasn't treated in any way , Plenty of scars from building to prove it ;)

    Thx , Spike

  • did I hear "the bad touch" by the Bloodhound Gang in the backround about a quarter of the way in? And I think I heard the cameraman say "Jimmy Pop"... I must be listening to too much bhg

  • "Jiffy Pop" - like the popcorn...felt hot enough to pop it even from that distance at the peak.

  • what i wonder is if that was all treated wood, if so the fumes from the presevatives must have been lovely.

  • Thank you so much for this. I, too, left early and missed this great burn of my favorite creative construction at Burning Man. And, thank you dear Belgians!!!

  • great! loved the little sticks dance - thanks for bringing us to the playa, Lura! T'm

  • it was not able to be used in building construction; it was grade 3 rejected lumber.

  • ...and the Belgium team replanted an entire forest in Canada to replace the wood. The team leader told us that Burning Man changed their opinions and beliefs of Americans and gave them hope for our country.

  • ok, then i take some of that back (comment to caffeina on material waste). but still a lot of black smoke, and kind of ironic no? i'd love being at this festival though, i think i need some hope for your country, cos it's sure been at a low ever since i was 12

  • Such a tremendous waste, burning all that lumber. Still, Wow!

  • evidently part of the project is the reforestation of an equivilent area the structure took up.

  • Cool, that's good to hear. Thanks for responding. :)

  • symbolized by burning the equivalent of an entire forest? sure that makes sense. i can see the spectacular quality of it, but hey it doesn't help the environment one bit. if it's ment to be a protest, it's not against air pollution for sure

  • they plant two for every one cut down, poop head

  • alright then :) i'm stupid

  • just a pity that all the pollution goes into the air

  • Thanks for posting. I didn't get to see this!

  • Totally check out the eclias clip that's showing up in your "explore more videos" - some great smoke vortices from the other side!

  • We left the playa on Sunday morning so we didn't get to see the Waffle burn. Thanks for sharing the video.
