actualy for those that dont know. Those colours were actualy 100% accurate and reason being since the NES version used cartriges. I mean i once played on one of these things myself and i can point out beyond the shadow of a doubt that those colours for this title screen intro theme actualy are correct.
I remember the first time I found Gannon's room in level 9 after wondering that level aimlessly for what seemed like weeks! God this game was amazing! By far the best video game every paid period. I challenge anyone who has never played it to beat it without cheating, it will take you a LONG time!
ZELDA (with my OWN lyrics) Link! He dresses in green tights! Link! He's such a gay-boy! (chorous) Gay! Link is gay! Link is gay! Link is gay! He's gay! He's gay! Link is gay! Link is gay! Link is gay! He's gay! He's...
Fag-wad! That is just want Link is! (That is just what Link is!) Gayer Than Richard Simmons! (Yes, Richard Simmons!) Robin, And Liberace (Liberace!) They ain't got shit on Link's gayety! He is gayer than (gayer than) Mr Garrison! (Garrison!) Or Slim Goodbody! Or priests!
@Bioshot11 No, I mean the theme. I'd love to have a decent quality version of the original theme on a media file or something. Sorry... I should have specified that I was talking about the song.
the main difference comes from using Composite output, rather then RF. the title screen is not pink on the Wii download. the problem was within the limited palette of the NES's video out port. the RF port was more accurate to the colours wanted, if you notice the title screen screenshot in the original manual.
Right. There are subtle differences that I have noticed between RF and composite. I didn't think the Virtual Console's colors were entirely accurate with the NES, though. They seemed a bit "off" to me. It's hard to say, maybe they're a little darker or duller than I remember.
Sadly, I do not have the manual anymore to reference screen shots.
I'm a Snes boy, but this is the best version of the Zelda theme.

I like to name the Title Screen music "The Legend of Zelda Anthem", it's like it's saying "let the games begin".

lulz, stop using an emulator, those colours are wrong.

I used a DVD recorder with a real NES (purchased fall 1988), for your information. Those colors are accurate.
Remember: NTSC and PAL display colors differently.

@StanfordFunk it could have been your TV saturation, being too high. I have seen this alot.
Bioshot11 1 year ago
@StanfordFunk very true. I have a toaster bought back in '85 and it looks the same as what comes up here. With some RF degradation, of course.
