@RipvanBongBowl420 well sublime did a lot of covers from other bands and had bits and pieces in their songs from other songs. like in wrong way, they have a bit from the specials for example. music is all about influences, your gonna kinda sound a bit similar to the bands that influenced you and it shouldnt be considered a knock off or anything. its more of an homage to your favorite bands. pepper also has a lot of kickass originals and so did sublime.

The reason they sound similar is because they are pretty much almost the exact same kind of music. On top of that, Bradley Nowell signed Pepper, along with bands like Slightly Stoopid, to his record label, and probably liked the sound they had because it was the kind of music he liked to play. Both of them are awesome bands.
