  • "A mechanic told me to just disconnect the O2 altogether and the car would run just fine without it"

So if that works that would make the EFIE obsolete?

  • Yes.

  • Follow up to this... I tried disconnecting the o2 on my older FI Honda engine. After about 20 minutes of highway it began to sputter so I had to reconnect. Because it's the older OBD-0? Don't know. Maybe newer OBD-2 systems are more tolerant. I'll have to try it on my newer Toyota and see what it does. Maybe later.

  • Nice result!

Do you have new info about your EFIE, do you get better mileage without HHO with it?

    Thanks

  • EFIE data so far is inconclusive. But I haven't collected that much data either. It's VERY slow going. Here's something interesting, though. A mechanic told me to just disconnect the O2 altogether and the car would run just fine without it. Not only that but it wouldn't try to sabotage my HHO tests either. Only time you must have it in place is when you take it through emmissions running straight gas.

  • By injecting HHO, the gas burns more completely anyway reducing emmissions far below what the O2 sensor might. I tried it and the car is running fine. Not only that but the rpm increases when I turn the HHO on. What's THAT tell you?

  • Thanks for the info.

I heard that when the sensor are not working the computer work using default value and put more gaz like you open the car for the 5 first min until the sensor are getting hot. So I am not sure about what your mechanic guys say but its something to try.

  • pretty good !

  • I discovered my yellow DMM is out of calibration today. It reads over 2% too high so the actual input power was slightly lower. Need to recheck all of my gear against better calibrated sources.

  • 12.3V*20A = 246W

    0.5/37*3600 = 48.65 LPH

    246W/48.65LPH = 5.06 W/LPH

    2.16/5.06*100 = 42.7% Faraday Efficient

They say it is possible to get at least 80% efficient. Some are reporting over 100% figures, but I don't know if they are telling the truth or maybe there are some errors in measurements or calculations. Using 7 cells at 12.9V somebody got 86.7% efficiency. 28% KOH and 72% water by weight.

  • Finally! A Science & Technology category!

  • ZFF Still Doing it. Great Work Again.
