just shows the versatility of tina loise actress-doing sophia and marilyn--theres a lot to know about gilligans island--it was done at a frantic pace-52 shows a season-thx to sherwood creative genius--its right now playing in 50countries-dubbed in various languages--a 45 + year show..
Tina Louise does the best Marilyn Monroe impression! Even while playing Ginger Grant she emulates Marilyn.. Also I loved Tina when she played J.R.'S mistress Julie Gray on "Dallas" Gilligan's Island was a fun show to watch!
Note to self; the next person to arrive on island I will club and take the boat as no one seems to be able to remember to take us or come back for us!
I always got a kick out of how many guest stars found that deserted island. Phil Silvers was a hoot, thanks for posting this clip! I posted some video (SEE: russell johnson book signing) that I taped for my public access TV series. What a thrill! Back to Phil Silvers, I have yet to see sargent Bilko, but enjoyed his Beverly Hillbillies appearances.
And where Tina got that wig is still a mystery? Did you know Tina took acting lessons from some man in New York that was one of those Method acting teachers I think he was a Strasburg, she put herself into the role of Ginger Grant, I think she did a pretty good job at it too.
ginger doing the italian waitress (2min mark) - hillarious! one of the memorable scenes that had me rolling on the floor in my childhood .. and now too! "BREADah - now you wanna BREADah! starving in the piazza de Steve Reeves, alright i bring you bread, you stuffa your face with breadah, machia questa stupido!"
Phil's daughter was Jenny Piccolo on "Happy Days",which is obvious if you've seen her on those later, crappier episodes. She looks and acts just like her dear old dad, poor kid...
Great scenes...can you add the scenes where Silvers is reheasing the show, and lecturing everyone>>>telling Gilligan if I say so, "you are an actor" then Gilligan agrees, and Silvers says,

Wait ... was this the one where it looks like they're finally going to get off the island, and then at the last minute their plans are ruined?

Yes, agreed- the Tina Louise acting like Marilyn Monroe was spot on. Almost can't tell the 2 voices apart.

What is Harold Hecuba to him, or he to Harold Hecuba, that he would weep for her?

Often if I'm waiting in a restaurant the, "I bring-a you bread!" bit goes through my head. A legend.
