@Jamo8886 I liked it, but when people kept raving about how it was "The movie event of our generation" or "The best movie ever" I couldn't help but think "Did I see the same movie? Because I already saw the movie event of my generation as well as the greatest movie ever (or at least pretty darn close) It's called the Dark Knight" Yeah, I thought SN was overrated a bit

@40Pacino The reason they say "our generation" is because it is. The Dark knight is an incredible work a monumental work at that. But The Social Network literally speaks to our generation because we are the internet and Facebook networking generation.

I have serious doubts about this movie. No matter how great the quality of the filmmaking is the subject of the story seems rather silly to me. I mean, really, a film about facebook? Wow... Looks to me like screenwriters of today need to get off facebook and out into the real world where reality takes place.

I really did like this, but to call this an oscar worthy movie is a little too much. It's a decent drama with earnest effort but nothing worth writting home to mom & dad about.
