  • The two best films of 2010 were Inception and the Social Network. Both deserved the Oscar over The King's Speech.

  • This is the next Citizen Kane!

  • You know what I can't stand? People who don't like this movie.

  • at least , you have the same idea

  • I can't be the only person who doesn't like this fucking movie.

  • @Jamo8886 i agree

  • @Jamo8886 i agree. and black swan got a -b?

  • @Jamo8886 I liked it, but when people kept raving about how it was "The movie event of our generation" or "The best movie ever" I couldn't help but think "Did I see the same movie? Because I already saw the movie event of my generation as well as the greatest movie ever (or at least pretty darn close) It's called the Dark Knight" Yeah, I thought SN was overrated a bit

  • @40Pacino The reason they say "our generation" is because it is. The Dark knight is an incredible work a monumental work at that. But The Social Network literally speaks to our generation because we are the internet and Facebook networking generation.

  • Check out My Place by Tokyo Rose you may find it funny if you use Social Networking Services

  • A+ for this, and a B- for Black Swan... *pokerface*

  • hello, i want to let you know that i have posted on my page QUEEN V singing a great version of THE CREEP SONG.

  • This guy is useless

  • jesse eisenberg was one of my mom's high school students. im not lieing. when i first heard about this film and told my mom, she said that jesse eisenberg was one of my high students like back in the class of 2000-2001 i think.

  • @Bartsudz99 Really? Damn, that's cool!

  • THE MOVIE IS AWEEEEEEEESOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMEEEEEE!!!!!!!

  • I guess this will be the best picture oscar winner in coming Academy Awards, if it is not the winner, then I lose!

  • Oh come ON!!!! Yes, I haven't seen the movie and no I don't want to. But seriously, is this movie really good? The footage in this review makes it look SO cliche and pathetic and basically just an add for Facebook

  • good movies but sucks to know most of the movie was actually fiction

  • @mastergradeone Peace be upon you. There is only one God and his name is Allah and Mohammed is the messenger of Allah. Praise be to God.

  • Roger Ebert named this movie the best movie of 2010. I REALLY want to see this and Inception now.

  • We do Latino marriage service now rockmycity.info

  • Richard, I heard u smell of elderberries. Do u miss Ebert and the At the Movies show?

  • This movie's freakin amazing.

  • Get the best facebook layouts here clickad.info

    See the movie in filmsq.info

  • It really was a good movie. I wouldn't say it was the greatest movie of our generation, but it was a pretty damn great picture

  • To think Jesse Eisenburg started off in Wes Craven's Cursed (which was stupid), Zombieland (which was gorey fun) and now he's starring in big movies like The Social Network!

  • LOVED IT.

  • i might be seeing this on Sunday

  • Great review Richard, it is one of the best films of 2010. A total Oscar contender, Fincher's direction is flawless. A brilliant film.

  • I can't wait to see it.

  • Great review! Thanks!

  • Roeper, I would like to know if TSN has better chances of wining Best Cinematography instead of Inception ??

  • @Jove89 I don't think it matters since True Grit is going to win.

  • A movie about FB? would people be interested to see this? Even if a lot of people use FB there is also a large population out there who do not use or know FB.

  • @maryharris6459 Well, there are more than half a billion Facebook users in more than 100 countries, so it's kind of a big deal.

    Best,

    RR

  • I have serious doubts about this movie. No matter how great the quality of the filmmaking is the subject of the story seems rather silly to me. I mean, really, a film about facebook? Wow... Looks to me like screenwriters of today need to get off facebook and out into the real world where reality takes place.

  • you sure do throw accolades around easily Mr. Roeper. ugh I guess i'll give this one a chance

  • Comment removed

  • @broli720 I throw around accolades easily? Really? Have you seen my reviews on "Ebert & Roeper," my books on movies or for that matter my reviews on this site? The one thing I've never been accused of is being too soft on movies.

    Sincerely,

    Richard

  • @TheRealRichardRoeper i was being sarcastic and meant no disrespect. The only movies i've noticed that you thought highly of this year were just the town and this one right here lol. I am glad that you responded to my comment though :)

  • @broli720 No worries. Thanks for checking out my review!

    Cheers,

    RR

  • For those of you who have seen it... if you could only nominate one person for Best supporting Actor, who would it be? Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake, or Arnie Hammer?

  • CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!!

  • Can't wait to see it! I love your reviews, Richard! Usually spot on!!

  • @Aphroditeuf16 Thanks!

    RR

  • I really did like this, but to call this an oscar worthy movie is a little too much. It's a decent drama with earnest effort but nothing worth writting home to mom & dad about.

  • @NY4Life Lots of people don't think it's a little too much
