  • Russian cars are so shit. I remember even a Russian toy car I got as a gift fell apart in the box in came in.

  • Estonia has the best cars. We use donkeys and oxes to pull our wagons.

  • At least it's better than YUGO :D

  • As Russian I can say that Lada is REAL shit.

  • Russian cars are crap, the government should increase the standard for domestic manufacturers rather than increase tariffs on imports. There is a reason why people don't want to buy Ladas.

  • government can increase the standard by just staying out. the consumer will do fine by demanding higher/better quality cars with their dollars.

  • now the russian gets to drive domestic POS(piece of shit) just like american in the 80's. government trying to protect autoworkers and hurt russian consumer and the people who work in the importing business. they are hurting more russians than they are helping.

  • In Soviet Russia, car drives you!

  • Russia & Obama never learn

History shows that "Protectionism" will bring ruin!

Protectionism is bought & paid for by corporations & mafia to protect their interests

Country wealth is manifested by FREE & completely unopposed trade!

  • dude sugar88 ... your way off base .. " Protectionism " is the way to go. Putin has the guts to say no to Globalism. Check out - " 1932 A True History of the United States. Now home industry will Thrive and the People will Prosper.

  • Tiger!

Haha! I just laughed up a fur ball!

Seriously now, history stands to support the main points in the old text, The Wealth of Nations!

  • shot the greed rich :)

  • you dont need fucking russian cars!

give those russian cars to the military to make them into tanks or SUVs, they are more suitable for that than driving!

russian car workers will have to give their children to street sex labor and make some money

  • Protectionism is a losing stance, if one country raises its tariff on one product against another the other will return the favor by raising its tariffs. This results in a trade war with the consumer being the real loser.
