Ah! great! It was impossible to find a song which tells exactly the same story than "the empty house". So, I like your clip (and "stirb nicht vor mir", too), and I thinck the song suits as well as possible with it. Salut, ami-fan!
I was delighted to find a french song and to see that the english- speaking fans wished to understand it and tried to express themselves in french. The song is charming . Oh yes, it goes with the clip; it's obvious that Holmes is happy to meet his friend again (just look at Jeremy's face!). I don't know wether he has remorse or not ( he let Watson believe he was dead), but he could. Of course the story doesn't ends like the song, Watson doesn't reject his friend, on the contrary...
(translation, second part)Crazy ideas, but I was crazy. Now, you've no more anything to tell me, I'm just a memory, perhaps not a too bad one...Never more shall I tell you: Hello! it's me again, hello! how are you? I found time very long, far from home, I thought of you"
Let's try a translation of the song. "Hello, it's me again! hello! how are you? I found time very long, far from home...I thought of you. I've sailed a bit too much, and I feel tired; make a good coffee for me, I've got a story to tell you. Once upon a time, there was somebody, somebody you know very well; he went very far away, he got lost, then he came back. (refrain) You know, I've changed so much; I had imagined things about me, about you, about us...(the remaining follows)
am happy that i find this, it's a combination of 2 thing i like, i like salut and holmes

Yes, this song is wonderfull. When I heard it for the first time, I in a moment thought about SH, the story "Empty house".
And I think he had remorse, but he didn't want to show it.He was too proud

Holmes really is rather French looking in this video. I suppose he is related to Vernet, the French artist, in the canon.

Um, right, that was brilliant. So, in French...
C'est fantasique, c'est un[e?] belle perforance et tres amusè, pour mon parle Francaise un petit morceau... Pardon, traduction c'est tres difficile.
Bon?
So sorry if I sound stupid. I'm English by the way, not American. I learnt French at school.
