Seriously, I love this song!! Last year, my choir sang it for my choir director's retirement concert, and we were all about in tears. It was commissioned for her 2 years before. David Dickau is Mrs. Sagen's favorite composer, and David Dickau had asked her choir to work on that piece so he could hear it and when they finally performed it, it was announced that it was commissioned for her :)

This was the final song for my brothers graduation. I swear, I thought there was gonna be a river where I was. Not trying to be funny. It was so sad. This was a very beautiful composition.

oh my god this song is beautiful. my chorus is singing it right now for the seniors' graduation, and i'm so jealous that they get such a beautiful song! my grade probably won't get a good song when we graduate, haha

My choir went to the University of Colorado and sung this with another 20 choirs or so. It was so loud, but so beautiful.

@deathdealer493 wowwwww I wish I could've experienced that I would have been so so so honered to have been under the conduction of Dickau himself but we just finished singing this yesterday at our GMEA district honor chorus and it was probably abt 100 ppl idk but it was HUGE and that was the biggest choir I"ve ever sung with and I was so excited becuz I sung this with my school the year before and it sounded really awesome with more ppl :)

My HS choir is singing this as one of our songs for contest. Great piece, but the thing I hate is that I unfortunately got the T1 part, and I have a hard time with some of the higher notes. I should be a Baritone, or T2 at least..

i think it's just the fault of the recording, but at some points its difficult to hear the some of the diction. e.e. cummings likes to use a lot of words and so its important that all of his words are properly pronounced. amazing piece tho, one of my favorites.
