I occasionally come back to see these machines, and listen specifically to this music. And in these years, I haven't yet found what music this one was! PLEASE Mr DeVink!! Please!!! What music is this?
The issue is not so much the lack of oil, it is the harmful effects that come from burning it. If you have ever been to LA and seen how thick the smog gets, you know what i mean. It is disgusting and cannot be good for the environment. Besides, steam power is amazingly powerful. One steam locomotive (which is technology from more than half a century ago) can do the same amount of work as 4 diesel engines.
@WeirdMinnesotaGuy uumm i am going to have to go against you. The american oil people said that we would run out in the 80s and 90s well we still have oil dont we. They say it will run out and they find another 100 year supply and so on...
Interesting contribution to the effort to replace fossil fuels, but I understand the Keebler elves who work the tea-candle mines of central america that there is only a 50 year supply of tea-candles left, so you've only shifted dependence from one limited form to another. 0.o

how do the candles get air if they're in those glass containers?
andywillkillyou 1 year ago
@andywillkillyou I would imagine the cylinders pump air into the candle encasement.

We will never run out of oil, oil shale, tar sands, etc. It will just be more expensive to get it.

I know that is was i meant when i said wat i said.

@danie1murphy
I agree. If nothing else, we can build tankers and haul more hydrocarbon compounds in from Titan. All it takes is imagination and willpower.
