Man, the school tried to push those drugs on me when I was a kid, and my mom gave into them in fear of losing face and being called a "bad parent". Let's just say I couldn't live a normal life because of those pharmaceutical companies, those drugs did some pretty messed-up things to my brain, and I think I even hallucinated once because of them. Geodon was prescribed to me as an "anti-depressant augmenter". I've managed to come off all of my other medications but this drug is proving to be particularly torturous, as any reduction in dosage causes insomnia and turns me into a mental vegetable. I went into anaphylactic shock on Sunday Sept 15 from my second dose of an NSAID taken in desperation as I had no other alternative for pain. I was placed on 120 mg of prozac at age 13, in 1988. 6 20mg pills a day. I was an inpatient at the time at a hospital in chicago. I have since learned that 80mg is the highest recommended dose for an adult. The doctor presiding over me died years ago. I took myself off prozac at 18. I can tell you from my personal experience that zyprexa caused my diabetes. Before I took zyprexa, my health was perfect as documented by a thorough physical just prior to taking zypexa. I was presribed zyprexa "off-label" for OCD. This was very informative. I used to think that drugs went through very rigorous testing and that the companies only released them when they were sure they were safe. The reason holistics work better is because they have undergone thousands of years of testing. It is really a trial and error process.
