  • 1 and 8 I think.

  • 1, you need to get down somehow..

  • 8

    there's no door

they'd have to jump from the rooftop

  • 1. Everyone has to get down.

  • the 1. one cause evry one that wants to enter needs too pres the 1. button so the elevator opens the door!!!

  • Obviously the 1st button as all tenants would be entering and exiting through that floor. You example looks as though you might also be thinking about a problem as it relates to binary numbers and again, 1, would occur the most frequently (128 times).

  • first button dah

  • 1 to get out duh

  • The Ground floor button

  • yes the button N 1 every one has to push that one

  • Everyone has to go down to the 1st floor so it would be FL 1

  • Why can't they just use the stairs?

  • @ZchinoZ94 Because it's an American elevator. Don't mock them.

  • 1st floor. because it is common to all. common sense tells us that all will come down isnt it? when your going to your foor you are the only one using that floor nobody from the other floors would come to your floor except the first floor wherein all tenants have to go out :)

  • I think its floor 7. I know a really fit girl on floor 7 who has the craziest parties every night. All the people in the building always go to level 7 and theyre too hung over the next day to go to work or leave the building...

  • 1 they all have to leave the building on that floor

  • thats what i thought but if you add the ppl on floors 2 to 7 its only 252 ppl...ppl on floor one wont use the elevator...so i think its 8

  • but people on the 8th floor still need to press the 1st floor to get out of the building, so there would be 508 people using the first floor

  • There are always variables though.... floor 8 are all women with healthy strong libidos and all the other floors are full of single attractive guys . Plus, what if most of the tenants are agoraphobic and never like to leave the building.... kinda a stretch huh lol

  • i think one but you didnt specify what floor what floor the entrance is on. so lets say its on floor one. it would be one because you have you get off that many times added to everything to get out. add all of them up it equals the total of the first floor button. im only 14 and im pretty sure i figured it out.

  • 1 Duh :P....I Think....

  • it is not certain where the entrance is, or is it?

it may be on the 1st, 2nd... floor if there are underground flats. maybe the 2 lucky tenants have got cheap flats in the cellar just as me? :P

  • the first floor button...tennants in every floor will come to the 1st floor

  • the first

they need to get out too

  • I've thought about the problem. If everybody gets on the elevator at the same time, then the buttons will all be pressed the same amount of times-- Once.

  • XD

    Awesome

  • you think there is an elevator which can hold up to 510 people???because if you add all the people in the building they are 510 so I think they cant get on the elevator at the same time

  • 8===D

  • getmethere1 is right - theres a skanky ass whore on the second floor so the answer is 2

  • He gives no parameters for when the buttons are pressed.....I hoped for something interesting....

Too obvious trick question imo. 2nd problem of his videos are way more interesting.

  • yeah, 1. Obviously, it's meant to be a "trick" question, since "the answer" is obvious--the eight floor....so, you have to ask "how am I being fooled.

Now, there COULD be an extremely busy whore on the second floor--and people almost never go out, but they all visit the whore several times per day....

  • floor 1 right?

  • floor 1

  • Surly its the ground floor?

They may live on different floors but they'd all have to use the ground foor... Am i missing the point?

  • but...the elevator does not work...this is kinda retarded

  • IF we make the assumption that each tenant uses the elevator two times per day and only ever goes either to 1) their own house or 2) outside of the apartment, and we also make the assumption that floor one is indeed the GROUND floor, we can say 1 is pressed most often.

  • is this for an elevator?

if so its the button that sends the elevator to the floor

  • anyone ever thought about stairs?

  • floor 1

  • ground floor

  • but what about the button to get to the ground floor

  • It's impossible to answer. Maybe floor 5 has awsome parties two times a day? Or maybe all the girls live on floor 2 which makes everyone want to ge there?

  • no its not impossible just think its kind of confusing at first ill give you a hint

    "were you check in"

  • Did you read my entire post? I know that you want me to believe that the answer should be floor 1 because everyone has to get out but thats only an assumption.

"Maybe floor 5 has awsome parties two times a day? Or maybe all the girls live on floor 2 which makes everyone want to ge there? "

  • and all the party attenders will have to go out at a point in time, adding to the number the floor one button is pressed... get it now???

  • What if they parachute out the window, or they have teleporters? haha

  • then i am wrong.. hehe

    a funny one

  • orrr maybe just took the stairs? that seems a bit more practical. lol

  • he's right there's no solution, I recently had a simlar problem in my math class, I said there were no solution because we didn't have all the data, although we can make an assumption and pick the most likely solution we cannot actually be surden. It's pretty obvious that this was set up as a trick aswell don't you think?

  • 7 you realize you are an idiot

  • Well, assuming all the tenants who live above the first floor DO NOT base jump off the building as a means of exit.. I can safely assume that the first floor button is the most frequently pushed.

  • 1 of course, they have to leave.

  • OP

    Ol

  • its 1 they have to go out

  • what if they're all health nuts and take the stairs?

  • haha, made me laugh.!

  • 1 duh haha

  • 1!!!!

  • numero 1 unless they wanna stay in the building 4 ever

  • the answer is obvious because the question is again obviously set up to look like a trick question.

  • Floor 8 which leads to the roof access, because everyone in this building uses the helipad to be commuted to and from Area 51 each day. The Top secret nature of the building prohibits ground access. This is also why the majority live on the top floor for easy access to the roof without using the elevator.

    :))))))))))))

  • you just blew my mind... i will be sending you the hospital bill i hope your insurance covers this

  • Re: Insurance Coverage

No problem. Just send it to:

    AFO Outside Billing

    Civilian Casualties

C / O Mc Claren Airport Dest KXTA

    Las Vegas, Nevada USA

    Authorization Code: URAD090407-122513

    Cheers

    LOL

  • wow.lol

  • 1st noob

  • cmon Serguei! thats too easy, everyone has to come out of the builing

  • Button 1, because they all have to exit the building.

  • haha I got it!!! *proud*

  • EASY THE FIRST ONE!!!! THEY GOTS TO LEAVE RIGHT? SO theys like goona click the 1st floor to go out n all.

  • Click?

  • the level that has the promiscuous female as a tenant

  • Um you mean the basement then? haha

  • if the tenants live a normal life, and there are no extraneous variables, the answer is one. there are too many extraneous variables in the problem.

  • Too many variables to give an answer.

Do the tenants even leave the building?

What floor is exit located on?

    Is there a working elevator?

    Can tenants reach the panel?

That being said prolly looking for the answer (button 1)

  • screw variables man. its just simple its one. but......... what floor is the ice machine on? cuz that would be the floor then lol jk

  • It's probably the button for the first floor that's most commonly pressed. However, if there is a second-floor entrance to the building, then we have too many variables to be able to calculate a dependable answer.

  • The first floor button is pressed most. A resident presses only his floor to go up, but every resident that does not live on the ground floor must press 1 to go down.

  • I'd say it's one because you can only get out (and survive) from the bottom

  • its one becaouse evribody needs to get out of the building!!!i mean they can use the stairs but we are talking about elevator

  • 1. everyone has to go to the first floor to get out

  • I would guess 1 because everyone who needs to go up needs to come down someday ... right... ?? RIGHT??? or do they have parautes to jump outa the window lol

  • Is it The first floor

  • i think its #1 because everyone has to come down and to escape through the buliding through that button

  • I THINK ITS NUMBER ONE

  • one or ground floor

    regards x kitti x

  • it's not one because people can use the stairs!

    That was sarcasm btw.

  • in Former Soviet Union, button presses YOU!

  • (: That's funny.

  • Number 1 ofcurse. lol

  • "Traditional ethnographies have been based on the ideas of locality. But with the rise of globalisation processes this concept has been increasingly questioned on a theoretical level. In the last decade, US-American anthropologists called for multi-sited ethnographies. However, the practical implications for research with such a shift have not been broadly discussed yet.

  • in europe the elevator has buttons from -x to 0 to X so the 0 is the ground level. But if in america the ground level is the 1 then i think the 1 button is used the most

  • it's the ground floor

  • it's none of the options since there was a fire incidient that day

  • its 1

  • 1 because every 1 has to come down

  • Yeah, i think DV00B's logic is correct. Unless they jump out of their windows to get down or something like that.

  • thanks =)

  • Oh wow your smart.

  • no 1

  • Ir is the button 5. Cos on the fifth Freddy the dope grower lives.

  • the ground floor is pressed the most, unless there isn't a lift since i don't recall him mentioning one

  • Assuming the exit to the building is on the first floor, then it's a trick question, because then button 1 will be pressed most.

If the question was more detailed, and asked which button is pressed most when going up (thus 1 would never be pressed), then it would obviously be floor 8, unless the majority of tenants on that floor use the stairs, then it would be floor 7, etc...

  • Is there an answer to this "8 Story Building", if anyone has the answer please email it to me and also show me the algebra that you used to solve it.

  • You're making this a little too hard. You can use up quite a bit of time working this problem algebraically. Please take another look, and this time, use your logic.

  • I'm ganna say 1st, but its proabably not.

  • it has to be the first floor button everyone presses that to leave

  • The 1st floor since everyone has to come down.

  • 1 st floor

  • 1 everyone must comw down

  • i was going to type that before i saw your poast.

  • sory

  • Since everyone starts at ground the two tenants there don't need to use the elevator. The 4 in the next floor do. Unless they have friends in the rest of the floors, they go up and down between floor and lobby the most because there is noting in between.

  • I am tempted to say one, but I dont know how many people visit other floors. Some people dont leave the building everyday and not taken into account outside visitors. With the limited information given I will say one.

  • Addendum...1st floor as ALL tenants must leave.

  • It would depend on which floor the person was on. If a person were in the lobby (L - which is not listed) or 1st floor, the individual would not need to press the 1st floor button as they are at the point of exit. However, as there are 256 tenants on the 8th floor who would need to go up and down (home and exit), both 1 and 8 would be pushed the greater number of times. Slap me if I am wrong. :-)

  • you're partially correct. it's just the first floor. you must add all the other tenants on the other floors who need to leave the building too, which exceeds the number of tenants on solely the 8th floor!

  • I did say that my answer was wrong right after posting it for if I were to add the rest of the tenents, all would need 1 to exist. Thank you for noting my error. Peace to you!

  • 1st

  • The door open button.

  • first floor

  • 1st, since everyone shares that in there destination set.

  • Answer is one because all exiting building must use 1 to leave.Answer is one.

  • do mor of thes there cool! ^_^

  • the 1# flower du.

  • At first I was tempted with the 8th floor because 256 is the largest number however, the answer is the ground floor. No matter how many people are on the floor they all have to go to the ground floor to leave!

  • if the drawing shows the building, therefore 1 is the ground floor level and assuming that most tenants above will use the elevator instead of the stairs when going down to the ground level, then 1 is the answer.

  • I'm suscribed! I'll look for some of these videos tomorrow as now I am sleepy :P

    Regards,

    Carles

  • The first floor button is pressed most often. This is can be known by applying benford's law. :)

  • OK, I overlooked the tenets. I tried to apply Benford's law in a way that could solve the problem, but my math skills are inadequate. I am though, fairly certain that Benford's law is needed for this problem to be solved. :(

  • Is this a rent control building? I guess it would have to be the first floor since everybody will press 1 to go out of the building.

  • I've heard of this building, it is in Russia somewhere. The second floor button is pressed most as this is the ground floor of the building with floor one being the basement. The reason it is pressed most is because to leave the building all tenants will press the number 2 button.

  • easy one

  • Button 1 cause they will ALL press it to go home

  • Presumably in your neck of the world buildings don't reach the ground floor (G)?

  • you got a lot of thumbs down for that comment - ? I gave you a thumbs up.

I know when my sister lived in England the "first floor" was our (US) second floor, while the ground floor would be our "first floor".

  • 1st floor because all of them actually goes down and press floor 1 to go out of the building

  • What are tenants?

  • People that occupy the apartments.

  • These are great! keep posting more please!!

  • wot about if they go walk the staIRS or jump out of the building

  • the first floor is the most pressed button, because everyone has to come down from the upper levels.

  • good to see you posting again vorojtsov! a new chess series would be amazing too :)

  • Thank you! Not sure what will come next.

  • The ground floor button... all those people at the top have to get down somehow. :)

  • Thank you!

  • i was about to post the same answer but u beat me to it (5 hours sooner)

is it the right answer though?

  • Yes, it is.
