  • Lopez zdechnij skurwysynu!

  • @wojciechpaluska sloma ci z kaloszy wylazi i z geby ci jebie bucu

  • Peak Lopez is just incredible. It's a shame he doesn't always play like this.

  • Incroyable Federer best player In the history....

  • 6-3, 4-4, 30-15* Lopez had Federer on the ropes and let him off...

  • At 4:44 Lopez was like, "Ah, screw it."

  • 'Oh Stop it!'

  • That's Lopez at his best.

  • GO GO Deliciano! ;)

  • More court level angle,dammit!...

  • Some amazing playing right there. This will be interesting with Murray

  • Look at those volleys from Lopez... It is SICK!

  • I may be right ;-)

  • this lopez guy can serve

  • WOWW!!! What a match, level amazing

  • love Federer's expression at 5:13

  • why doesnt fed hit this hard anymore?

  • 2:50

    do all spaniards do that?

  • Comment removed

  • 4:50

    Wooooo *-*

  • 2:36

    Ufff *-*

  • Great :P

  • lopez is better than federer, very impressive, he is not spanish

  • @catellodeserventi

you're absolutely hilarious, i usually don't take part in skill vs skill discussion but you're a world class idiot if you think lopez is actually better than federer LOL...

  • @ricefarmer123 On the bright side, with that kind of backhand (or lack of one), Lopez could always improve!

  • @catellodeserventi and thats federer won aye?

  • if only lopez could control this form consistantly

  • @1080portal

    so true.

  • @robintrailer does he have a string of injuries? i don't know why he doesn't master his form

  • @1080portal

I think thta fisically he's perfect, the problem is upon his shoulders...he keeps losing his concentration during the match.....unable to be focused!

  • @robintrailer he has shoulder injuries?

  • my favorite shot in the world 5:02

  • who is that guy in the black?-- he used to be prettty damn good

  • @roselandalvin he still is...

  • ninja tennis -- remember reviewer writing 'quantum tennis'

  • and lopez couldnt play like this against nadal this year in the us open?? pathetic.

  • 4:50 AMAZING

  • crazy tennis

  • el hecho que federer gane partidos como estos, hace que sea uno de los mas grandes de todos los tiempos, Lopez estaba intratable, y asi todo no le pudo ganar.

The fact that Federer wins matches like this one makes him one the greatest player ever, Lopez was really on fire, every shot of him was inside the court, really playing his best tennis, but still not enough to beat roger.

  • happy birthday Feli !!

  • lopez nice body

  • amazing points!

  • 4:50 is just legend!

  • This commentator is great, more from him!

  • How the hell did federer get that at 0:03

  • kids got talent

  • From a side angle, lopez look like federer.

  • racist

  • @arashtennis oh shutup idiot

  • Lopez is the ideal Spaniard. Kind of reminds you of Vega from Street Fighter II.

  • a breathe of fresh air! two all-court players with one-handed backhands and a lot of variety at their best throwing at each other the best they got!! just epic stuff..... two-handed backhand domination is slowly killing the game

  • lopez serve and vollying miss sampris.

  • this is just a typical top 5 player against top 50 player match, start is competitive but cant maintain, happens to everyone, not that great,

  • Such a high-quality tennis video.

  • Comment removed

  • wow, that last backhand pass was just so awesome. Federer did predict where it was goin' but Lopez put that slice shot right on the outter part of the line and Federer passed it right by him on the run. INSANE

  • 0:31 unreal

  • This was one of Lopez best matches. His backhand topspin was actually working for a change

  • It was working well especially because he was hitting the topspin well. If you hit a great topspin backhand, your opponent has to respect that and stay back a little. That makes the slice harder to defend against positionally.

  • @JL6293 I am confused so why has Lopez retreated back into his slice game nowadays then?

  • not at all. your just LOOOKING at their naturally strong and muscular bodies.

  • @abcjc1 Muscles dont mean "best shape"

    tennis doesn't require muscular bodies.

  • Amazing forehand winner at 0:20!

  • Wow, Lopez has a brilliant, deep forehand with lots of spin on it.

  • @TheTennisMan11

reminds me of fernando verdasco, even though they are in the same decade lol

  • federer's serve was faster then...

  • Comment removed

  • I was thinking the same thing...but we're still straight right?

  • federer raped by lopez

  • Comment removed

  • And still won lol.

  • Federer has the sickest chip lob of all.

  • if only he had a backhand

  • Never seen lopez hit 3 bachands as good as he did between 2.40 and 2.50, when he played henman at Wimbledon he barely made one all match. He would be right up there if his topsin was better, I love his slice though and his forehand and volleys are great. However how good was Federer when his back was against the wall the backhand pass he hits at the end is just stunning.

  • ooo he really says break .. damn :D

  • 2:40 - 2:55

and they say lopez doesnt have a backhand lol

  • para pa pa pa! i'am lovin it!

  • Comment removed

  • "Ooo thats how you play Roger Federer " Weeell yes .. but not exactly :) Great Match !

  • He said: "that's how you BREAK Roger Federer"^^

  • one of the best matches iv ever seen!

  • i was at this match. it was almost like Roger spotted him the 1st set to make it interesting, cause after that, he basically proceeded to dismantle him.

  • lol roger federer figured out Lopez

  • I remember this. Lopez played lights out tennis and Federer just couldn't do a thing to his pace and where he placed his shots. Everybody should learn to play this way.

  • everyone can do that for 1 game or 1 set. but it cannot b sustained

  • 0:21 What a shot!!!!!!!!

  • 5:04 My Favorite shot!!!!! of federer

  • Comment removed

  • thats fuckin stupid

  • Ignoring the fact that Roger can generate his own pace better then anyone.

  • creo que feliciano es uo de los jugadores zurdos mas 'elegantes' tecnicamente del circuito, lastimaque tiene una nevera en el pecho; arruga en los momentos mas dificiles

  • Forehand at about 0:20 is sensational.

  • No joke, that 1st set was probably the best set ever played against Roger.... better than Nadal at French 08, or anything else.

Lopez played like gold up to 6-3 4-4

  • Lopez has one of my all time favourite serves.

  • I think serve n volley had been dead.

Lopez did it well in this game. But the last passing shot from federer is brilliant. I think even pat cash, edberg or rafter can't anticipate it.

  • feli what a forehand!!!

  • Great passing shots from Roger!

  • i like the commentary

    british accent rocks!!

    =)

  • I love this Commentary.. especially when the guy says "Oh.. and thats how u break Roger federer" and when he says "he's got little more work than he would want" British accent rocks...

  • all feliciano lopez wants for christmas is a backhand...

  • He has a good one but he slices it too much.

  • best match ever played by lopez

  • I WISH THIS FEDERER WAS BACK...

  • yeah i wanted to. but he'll win french open later for sure

  • the us open court is really fast

  • Wow, why cant lopez be like this all the time, i really think he could break the top 15 players in the world, hope he does well in barcelona

  • many players could break top 15. its how it is. players have ups and downs in their careers.

  • truly unreal......

  • 0:20

    oh wow.

  • why is it wow? it is only top spin

  • Comment removed

  • 180mph? LOL

    more like 180km...

  • ye lol. If Roddick hit that then maybe id believe it :P

  • he said one eighteen

  • ah now that i hear it again its clear

thx for clearing it up ^^

  • Yea thats a heavy accent. haha Damn good second serve too. haha

  • If you listen closely it says 118mph

  • the commentator always says everybody is lovin it.... wtf?

  • stoppit xD!!!

  • haha "oh stoppit!"

  • that last passing shot by federer was crazy even lopez was smiling for that one

  • I like when he "stop it!!"

  • Yeah I also found it very funny.

I don't know why, but a lot of tennis commentators usually say "stop it" when someone is hitting great winners

  • i guess for style

  • i still dnt get y u wear long soncks for tennis,i can c the reason for Soccer but i dnt for tennis

  • idk i wear ankle socks, maybe to help support your ankle ?

  • Lopez and Nadal's gonna meet in finals at Davis Cup

  • errr? you mean they are going to be teammates?

  • lopez threw everything but the kitchen sink at federer, but as you can see once rogers shoulders start warming and loosening up he has a a couple more gears he can go up.thats the difference between grand slam winners and the top 10-20 players who have never won and will probably never win a grand slam

  • HAH thats roddicks line isn't it? but yeah i can see what you mean, reminds me of safin sometimes

  • the only reason lopez isnt in the top is that hes on and off

  • lopez forehand is my kind of forehand i have a similiar stroke.

  • that last point was just insane... such precision...

  • At 4:52 - 4:54 when Lopez hit the ball down the line and Roger hit it back dead straight on the same line - that was crazy. :D

  • Lopez and Gasquet are the hottest men on tour. Its a pity that they dont win more titles. They both have huge potentials.

  • Tennischick171, it is true, the problem with Lopez is that he doesn't know how how to behave on court. He still needs to learn a lot from Federer and Nadal in how to be a gentleman. I am not sure if he has the mental potential of a champion.

  • lopez looks like a future grand slam champion i hope federer can play like that against nadal in the final come sunday wimbledon.

  • :*(

  • Lopez does have all the potential in the world, and he frustrates me so. I just feel like he's not dedicated enough to be great. And, he definitely needs more power on the backhand. He is my fave player along with Djokovich! There's a guy working hard for what he wants!!

  • I think lopez has all the potential in the world. All he had to do is get back in there. I think he can get a bunch of titles under his belt. He is by far my favorite spanish player.

  • agree about the lack of power in the Lopez backhand. He has a brilliant touch but his backhand is among the weakest while looking at his very solid ranking and his capability competing with the best. I actually cant remember him hitting a backhand winner against anyone recently. Its a shame, maybe he should change in into a two-handed, because Lopez surely is among the most talented players on the tour. Easily a top 10 player among talent, i only wish him to find a better coach to win a major!

  • lopez is soooo talented

  • Holy shit. I must of been quite a scare for Federer for the first 2 sets.

I love this match. Lopez made this very entertaining with his brutal grounstrokes and serves.

  • That's funny. During the video I thought "Roger's backhand pass is unreal." And then the announcer was like "what an unreal backhand pass."

  • holy crap

what was the score for this match?

i think feliciano will win a slam in the future

  • eh i dunno. if he did it would have to be wimbledon. his serve is a bomb and his volleys are quite good.

  • really nice points..lopez played well..but roger is just to much

  • hope that lopez can have a good result at wimbledon wit his serve volley play

  • i never knew lopez had such brutal groundstrokes

  • shit, not young :D sorry.

  • shhh! quiet! young genius at work =-d

    Roger you're the best, :D

  • For 2 sets, this was better than anything

I have seen since the Sampras vs. Rafter era at the U.S. Open. This is REAL fast court tennis.

  • If Feli's backhand wasn't so horrid, he'd be in the top ten no doubt. He has almost all the tools to trouble Rafa, Fed and Nolé

  • feli just uses 50% of his talent. in this match he showed us a little more.:D

  • lopez just playts beautifully his movements are gorgeous

  • super!

    it's a pitty, that they didn't play 5 sets

  • hed be top 5 if his backhand wasnt so awful

  • his backhand isnt that bad!

  • bellissimo video

  • BTW... just to love on Lopez more... IF IT WERE NOT FOR THE NEW EQUIPMENT, LOPEZ WOULD ALREADY HAVE WON A MAJOR.

  • ...doesn't he have the new equipment as well? what makes you think he's so special in this area? he won't be able to win any majors as long as federer is on the other side of his court my man. sorry, but that's reality.

  • The consensus is that the new strings and slower courts (esp. at Wimbledon) favor the returner. The returner has a better shot of getting his racket on the serve, and then doing something useful with it.

OTOH, Sampras contends that serve and volley can still work, you just have to use the new rackets to get outrageous spin on the serve and approach shots.

These first two sets it looked like Lopez was channeling Sampras :)

  • Agreed and Sampras has proven it by beating Fed in an exhibition recently. It throws Fed off his game when he cannot get a rhythym. The volleys and athleticism reminded me of Rafter more than Sampras, but the serve was looking like Pete. Sadly, the mental toughness was definitely LOPEZ. The new equipment has made the baseliner's shots much more controlled and powerful. How does that help the volleyer? Still, PETE BEAT ROGER. End of story. It can work.

  • Still think Lopez will win a slam lol? doubt it. Hope you predicted Ljubicic to win Indian Wells too. Ha!

  • @itzjoeymac

i remember you posting this 3 yrs ago that Lopez will win a major.

I think he is playing superbly this season. He just beat Roddick 3-0 today. This year is his last chance to do something in wimbledon

  • OH MY GOD!!! Did you see that volley Lopez pulled off on the backhand in the first point of the vid??? LOPEZ WILL BE A MAJOR CHAMPION! IT IS COMING and I am not just saying that because I am a hansdsome, left-handed serve and volleyer DANGIT... LOL!!!

  • Lopez is CLEARLY the best serve and volley player in tennis. If he can find the mental toughness to stick to that style of play despite the passes, he will win a major. For those who do not believe, remember that Rafter did not win a major until his late twenties and would have won another had he not retired. If Lopez dedicates himself to serve and volley HE WILL WIN WIMBLEDON OR THE US OPEN. He is already a better ATHLETE than any top player. Remember ANDRES GOMEZ? I called that one too.

  • Is it true that Federer fell down some time during the match and Lopez called out " you all right Roger?" Anyone got video of that?

  • !!! ...that last DL passing shot by fed... about as close to perfection as you can get...

    great vid

  • look also federer vs strichapan swiss indors that was also a similiar match when not e^ven better!
