  • Are the Ultrafire led lights a Chinese namebrand or is it a legit company? I have one of their flashlights and they're NICE, but I don't see Ultrafire anywhere else.

  • @Esperantisto84 Its a Chinese knock off company. They produce some good lights, some mediocre, and some garbage. This one is one of the good ones, they have an XML version out now.

  • ha! LED's are already being marketed like computer processors.

  • yeah, rub those threads!

  • does this flashlight have a far throw or does it just light up a large area then fade if pointed farther

  • @MrMccloven1 The light has some throw but its not great

  • one thing, wich is ... it's bright!!!

  • @hugo2x,

You said it's "direct drive regulation".

CMIIW, aren't every flashlights that have more than 1 mode should have some sort of electronics inside (which act like a regulation too), not just directly connect to the battery?

    Very nice and useful review..thanks

  • '

    what country make this flashlight,,,

why cannot put a pair of 123 batteries

  • @bestamerica It is made in China and a pair of 123 batteries will burn out the emitter, 18650 only

  • hugo2x,

    '

    thank explain,,,

i rather america can make it LED flashlight,,,

    no need it china

  • @bestamerica

lol..in the end, it'll always manufacture in china..so far, no other country can beat the cost of manufacturing of china.

  • moose2yib,

    '

    better america can make it,,,

no need it china at all,,,

    forget it about china

  • hugo2x,

    '

    okay thank

  • @hugo2x you can use CR123 mines been fine for months because i had large stock of the batterys from my old digital camera.

  • lol. jetbeam ftw.

  • hey !!!!! nc review .. how much otf lumens do u think it has and how it compares to tk 11..thanks

  • @kyrkyris It probably appears about twice as bright as the TK11

  • Cree also makes these 4LED flashlights. My favorite is the R2 model LEDs, something with the diameter of a penny, it can light up a quarter of an acre with pure white light, I like yours though, it comes with a rechargeable battery...always a nice touch :)

  • @thewhiteraven2501 Yeah this makes a great shotgun light, illuminate the whole backyard

  • @hugo2x niggers be in your backyard?

  • @epohnopulse LMFAO!!, ty man u just made my day lolz

  • @whereireside I knew somebody other than myself would get a kick out of that.

  • @hugo2x Hey would u mind doing a night video with some far away beamshots. Thnx

  • @whereireside I've tried before on my camera and it looks like crap. Getting decent night beam shots requires a large expensive video camera.

  • @hugo2x Ohh ok thnx anyways :)

p.s. If u wanna really legit cam, try the new flip, surprisingly amazing.

  • fuck the treads are nice it come lubricated , who gives a shat u can do it yourself anyway wtf

  • Luser? Fenix TK40 Rulles !!

  • @OrenLomatel

    M1x > tk40

  • this was the first thing i bought from DX great light i have mounted it on my bike for night rides

i also have the same R2 drop in from DX

  • p7 is nice but the ssr 50 is brighter

  • yeah but if you want real power you need a SST 90

  • How's the spread/spill on this light? Pretty wide?

I'm looking to mount this on a weapon and would like a good spill/beam ratio (50/50 or 60/40).

How's the battery life on the highest setting?

  • It has a very wide hot spot, appropriate to use as a headlight for a bicycle at night. battery life is ~1hr with quality AW 18650 cells

  • Im wonder about the shipping details, because Dealextreme is in hong kong. What are the fee's shipping it to North america????? Plz ?? would like to buy

  • yes, that's were I live shipping is free world wide.

  • I bought the Aurora AK-P7-5 from DX. Same emitter and same battery. I can't believe how bright a small hand held led flashlight can be. This was my first high powered led light, have another that is 200 lumen but powered by D batteries so I get great run time. I want to find a similar sized light as bright as these P7's but in more a spot light pattern for distance.

  • If you want some serious throw, you should get a JetBeam M1X

  • hi do the rechargeable battries come ready charged ? someone must know :( help lol

  • I can't remember if they did or not. You should always charge rechargeable batteries before there first use, to ensure a longer cell life.

  • Comment removed

  • my 18650 was charged

  • Has anyone tried the upgrade recommendation of yoyoguy161? Feedback please. Thank you

  • all you need to do is make a coil of desolder wire and solder it from the bottom of the stock spring, to the tip of the spring. Do this to each and you should see a big difference. Hope this helps :)

  • you should really add more wire to the clickie spring and the head spring. It will lower the resistance and give you a significant increase on power. Mine stock could drive 2.2 amp at 4.1v but now draws 2.83 amps at 4.1v!

  • That's an interesting, I'll have to give it a try

  • when you buy does it come with charger?

  • it dont put out 900 more like 400 and it gets hella hot.

  • one thing about light output is that it takes 3x the power to appear twice as bright. looks to me ~600lm, not bad at all for such a small light compared to most large p7 and MCE's on the market

  • ever try Urna beam

  • I'm waiting for some production lights with SST-50 and SST-90 LEDs

  • WHERE CAN I BUY ????

  • This light is direct driven, when do you notice the slightest dim after a fresh recharge of batteries? How bad is the dim?

  • its not noticeable by the naked eye

  • but after an hour you will notice

  • Which SKU is it on DX?

  • SKU 19767

  • What kind of run time do you get on that battery?

  • 50 -to 60 minutes, then it falls out of regulation and begins to dim.... That's why rechargeable 18650's Rock

  • that things bright!!
