@MrBigjack71 as I did not test with the application, it's difficult to say if it will. However, if Pandora is using the same API for track skipping as the iPod, which I would think it is, I would answer yes.

@760UNDERGROUND This is hands down best dock for any music player in this price range. I have used AL product sin past and they dont compromise with sound quality. This is not just a simple dock, take it anywhere like parties and camping. Good stuff

@svenllr I have been extremely satisfied with this device. From time to time some communication errors might occur with the iPod dock (especially in very cold weather), but that's no big deal. Sounds good, looks nice, easy to carry, rugged structure and excellent remote. The power button could have been better embedded deeper though.

@emblema12 I haven't heard the Bose but of late, I have not been impressed with its gear anymore. Too expensive for less than you can have elsewhere. In the end, however, it's your ears that will chose the better system that fits you.

@OhDallasWon It is mighty loud. We had a large gathering with many in attendance and it was clear enough to make out the music. Bass had to be reduced a bit to avoid distortion, but over all, it was nice. I suppose, if you stick it in the middle on top of a row of lockers, it'd do the job.

@kebbin15 wouldn't know as I have not tested that unit. In my opinion, iHome is a bit on the cheap side while Altec has long been well known for quality.

I will buy Altec iMT800 MIX or HK Go + Play, but I can not decide what I want. so I wonder Altec iMT800 MIX has better bass, and HK Go + Play Have Better sound quality? or what?

@slayerwen in my opinion, I would say that the HK is better sounding all around. The Altec has much better bass by far, however. The HKs wireless remote is also nicer than Altec's infrared which requires direct line of sight of the unit to work.

I haven't done an AB comparison of the two but plan on it soon. I do know that the Altec's bass was much better but the dynamics may go to the HK.

Can you say anything about the battery life?? Nobody seems to metion that in their reviews. For me that is a pretty important, as I need it for the beach and the park. My old boombox swallowed the batteries. Is this more economical?? And does it have external battery input?? This is really a deal breaker for me. Could you write a few words? Please:)

I did not test the battery life; however, I will be reviewing some rechargeable batteries in the coming weeks and this will be the unit I will be testing them for. Look for that post for a better indication.

how loud does this get? would it be loud enough to use to warm up before a soccer game?

It is pretty loud, but I'm not sure how much of the field will be able to hear it clearly. If we're talking an average Saturday game, then those on the sideline will be able to hear it just fine...maybe those on the other side, too.

We have reviewed the HK as well and while it sounds superb, it's bass can not match that of the Altec. The HK is classier and more refined and its RF remote top notch, but it is becoming dated. I toss my hat to Altec.

We haven't reviewed the Kicker unit, but based on what we've seen, it doesn't look to compare to the Altec unit. Between the funky cabinet, cheap LCD, and the inability to connect to iPhones outside of Airplane mode, I just can't see paying Kickers asking price.
