  • The bad thing of dingoo is the lack of a good psx emulator (i play fullspeed resident evil 1,2,3)

  • They are awesome

  • i own one its awesome

  • can this bad boy play pc games like Yumme Nikki, Eversion, Don't Look Back, VVVVVV, Tower of Heaven, Cat Planet, Runman, etc?

  • @EvoProd That I'm not sure about. It's been a while since I made the video and off hand I don't remember the specs.

  • I just order it.... i will give you a feedback :)

  • Thank you for the info regarding the GP2X. Very informative video.

  • You can't go to a store and get it.. You have to purchase it.. You can't shoplift? XD..

  • @nanderv LOL Nope.

  • I`m Waiting for The Open Pandora

  • rml695 - Did you ever get yourself a wiz??

  • nope.

  • Wait, if this is one of those "asian consoles" is it even in english? (or other langauges besides korean)

  • you know, you could just as easily download roms from places like romnation. Anyways, does it have a N64 emulator on it? Cause i know that mupen64 is a pain in the ass to get working properly and insanely slow. So, if they got their own emulator that's better i'm totally for it

  • the dingoo a320 looks good im getting that because it got dingux which improved its emulators and because its alot cheaper than the wiz plus dosent the wiz have a problem where the screen gets a diagonal line across it when playing fast games like sonic?

  • Couldn't tell you, as I have yet to see the Wiz in person.

  • @patsybob it dose have that diagonal line thing.... but not with sonic because the emu fixed that problem

  • @patsybob Actually I Just saw a review of that particular problem, and apperently that is caused according to the coding of the genesis emulator. The recent update fixed that and Hopefully the other emulators will fix it with their future updates as well. But otherwise, the Diagonal line comes occasionally, and when it does it is noticeable, but doesnt really bother much, so dont be so worried about that.

  • nice reviews

  • he also forgot to meniton you can hook it up to your tv

  • This is a feature I was not aware of.

  • you can hook up your dingoo, as for the Wiz, you either can't or it's really crappy.

  • 32 gigs is the max I love the fact he doesnt even mention the gp2x f100 or the gp2x f200 or the first one gp32

  • I didn't because from what I read it seemed the Wiz was a major improvement over those systems.

  • no it is not a major improvment as you will soon see when you read your email.

  • Nice Review man..

  • Emulators and ROMs are fully legal, so long as you only download ROMs of carts you actually own. Of course, nobody really sticks to what they own. But the fact that they are legal in certain circumstances allow all of those ROM sites to remain operational.

  • That's interesting. Thanks.

  • Nintendo saying the having he emulators is illegal, that's just ludicrous.

There's a Nintendo On A Chip (NOAC) today, because Nintendo no longer has any controls or rights on the original NES. Nintendo, is full of crap.

  • Thanks for the info my man, im really tempted by this little powerhouse :)

  • you can buy one at thinkgeek for $180 but im sure there has to be an US outlet that sells for cheaper

  • Play Asia sells it for $150

  • this is amazing!! another proof of the power of linux, someday they`ll see that linux is the way for a better media development, nice review!

  • even if im wrong, i know this is fact. if you make roms and emmulators on the computer, it is illegal to SELL them online. you are allowed to make them, download them, and play them. but noone is supposed to SELL the roms and emmulators. most sites are free, but the sites that make you pay, are actually making you pay to allow you to download the roms and emmulators, not pay for the games, just the site.

  • do i know you??? anyway, the thing about nintendo. if it is an old game up to the nintendo 64. then it not illegal. cause its copyright infringement laws ended back in 2005. but if its from the gameboy color up to today, then there is still a copyright law on the games.

  • Could you clarify something for me then? When gong over copyrights in graphic design in high school, they said that the copy right is good for the life of the holder + 10 years I think.

  • (for video games and some items) copyright expires: when the item is not being produced anymore and the company that has the copyright on its items, signs a paper stating to cancel the copyright on their old items. (fyi: there is a system where you can copy your own games to the computer and make them on the computer in emmulator form and rom form.

  • I'm going to review it soon. Check out my review soon!

  • Sendm e a message when you've reviewed it.

  • It's a fantastic little system, however, it's hard to expect to see a game come out for it that REALLY pushes the limit of the system's power. The WIZ is touted as technically being more powerful than PSP.

  • Also, it's Fair Use for any ROM, CD/DVD image that's non-dragconian or DRM'D.

I'm not going to let a big assed company tell me what do to with any game :)

  • Wow, nintendo/other console providers have a stronghold on those that use ROM's. I don't think it's illegal at all.

Nintendo can't stop or catch a million or so users who remain unknown to them.

I take that as stupid of a game company.

I myself have used soo many ROM's that I couldn't give a crap.

It's not illegal if the site that's supplying them has a disclaimer, which most of all of them do.

  • to be honest, i think nintendo and sony etc etc make a deal about rom usage because they legally have to. i dont think anyone is going to get pissed at you for playing the nes on that thing. in fact, they will be glad that someone is even still playing there games, lol.

  • this is going to be internesting to see what happen with this

  • Check out OpenPandora, the world's most powerful handheld, & based on Linux, price is about 300 dollars. Touchscreen, qwerty keyboard etc.

  • I just looked over it. I'm wondering if this will end up replacing the GP2x line given the fact that so many of it's developers are working on this.

  • It's actually created by the biggest western GP2X-reseller I think, so it's kinda developed by GP2X-usercommunity. I own old black GP2X, one before wiz, and it's quite useless machine. I don't know about usability of Wiz though.

  • Hp has been offering a Netbook OS built on Ubuntu called Mobile internet Experience (MIE). It hasn't taken off YET, but I think it will once people see that it just works better.

  • While I haven't seen MIE in person, I like it a lot that HP is turning to the open source.

  • very cool!! first time ive heard of a Linux portable game system.

  • Very good video, I will for sure be getting the GP2X Wiz. To play megadrive games out and about will be great.

    Thanks for all your videos!

  • I'd recommend reading the notice I put up at the beginning of the video description. I only put it up this morning (or later after making the v ideo last night, I don't remember).

  • Have done, thanks again.
