  • So much tradition in his voice...We should be eternally thankful that we still have access to gems like Ustad Rashid Khan in this commercial era! Posting ke liye bahut dhanyavaad, Arif-ji!

  • Ultimate sound.

    D

  • this bhajan touches my heart every time i listen. The taanpura creates the mood.

Can any body put the hindi translation please ?

  • @dknkartha very wise words. Bhairavi is definitely one of the most loved raags in hindustani classical music along with maybe raag Yaman

  • As crucial as the singer and his saadhana and as crucial as Meerabai's blessing is the fact that this bhajan is in arguably the most beautiful of Indian raagas--Bhairavi. This raaga encapsulates the south Asian people's centuries old aesthetic and spiritual feelings. And then of course there is the glory of the Devta--Krshna--if one thinks of this song as a Mantra--its Rshis being Meera Devi and Rashid Khan Sahib; the Chhandas being Bhairavi Raag; and the Devta the peerless Krshna.

  • @dkmkartha THE BEST.

  • it was an awesome experience while i performed the same bhajan in a music sammelan in the same style and adopting the same voice culture, it made me to realise the God standing before me and i being the the ardent lover bent to invoke all my my emotions through this bhajan. Rashid khan's voice has the taseer ...God bless Him.....

  • Kya awaz mein mithhas hain!

  • Mira Bhai's longing and devotion to Kanhaiya comes out in this soulful rendering of Rashid Khan. He combines rare classism with a most appealing voice. Music has no religion. This song is the longing of the individual soul for the universal soul.

  • @mohanappa There is a great differnce between the phycial existance of Mira Bai, and Ustad Rahsid Khan, who is singing this.

I am more amazed that although, there is a time difference between Mira Bai and the singer, we still feel the connection.

  • Who ever said music has religion?

  • Amazing, this is what Kabir wanted, Guru Nank wanted, even Gandhi wanted, a unity among hindus and muslims. Eventually this is happening through the singers.

  • Why does religion suddenly creep in, BTW? I was just listening to great music.

  • Awesome.....thanks...

  • just wonderful,i was looking for it for a while.thanks!

  • superb Arif bhai keep posting

  • Absolutely fabulous.

  • thanx for the video!!!

  • wonderful, what a treat!
