For Pick's theorem, I believe the constraint that the polygon must be convex is too strong. The polygon can have all kinds of shapes as long it has no interior holes. I teach this theorem to my students to easily estimate areas under graphs.
only a mathman can draw a bunch of looped out "triangles" and call that triangles and they are REALLY triangle! ahava rabba
